    How cramped?

We will be going on Conquest 06/02/13 (long way off, I know) but it will be me, my son, boyfriend, and his son going. We're looking at the balcony rooms on Veranda or Lido deck. Now before when I've cruised it was with an ex boyfriend and it was always just us so there was plenty of space, with 4 of us in the room I'm kind of curious how cramped this is going to be.....?
  2. We got back home around 4 this afternoon from this cruise! Cruisers were me (Jess), my fiance Ramsey, and our friends Phillip and Tammy. Phillip and Tammy got married in November and had originally planned on taking a big trip to Ireland for a few weeks for their honeymoon, until they decided that they really didn't want to be away from their children for that long. So one day Ramsey and Phillip were talking about cruises, they looked up some prices, and that's how the plan started for all of us to take a trip together as a delayed honeymoon for them, and a much needed escape from "real life" for us. We live in Shreveport, LA (North Louisiana) and it takes about 5 hours to get into New Orleans. We have family that lives in Metarie, just outside New Orleans, and we were leaving the car with them for the week. The last few times we've cruised we arrive at Ramsey's aunt and uncles house a few days early and hang out for a while, then they drive us to the port. But every year for New Years his whole family goes to Monroe, LA for a family reunion. Obviously we wouldn't be making the reunion this year because we would be boarding the Conquest that day, but we decided that we would drive to Monroe on Thursday, stay through Friday and then leave Saturday to head south. Then Ramsey hurt his back, and couldn't move off of the couch for a while so we decided that it would be a bad to try and go to Monroe, and we skipped it. For hotels, the weekend we were leaving was New Years eve, and there was a home Saints game. Hotel prices were way too high. We wouldn't be staying at his aunt's house like normal because they were out of town and we didn't want to just take over their house. So we found a hotel in Baton Rouge for super cheap that we booked, and then drove into New Orleans the next morning (New Years day, Sunday) and saved a boatload of money! The drive was pretty uneventful, the normal "slug bug" games and general joking around... we ate a quick dinner and headed to the hotel just in time to toast for New Years. Nothing quite like drinking fancy champagne in a $50 hotel room lol
  3. We're headed down to Baton Rouge to spend New Years Eve tonight and tomorrow we'll be driving into grand New Orleans to board the Conquest!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!

    Toilet Paper ??

My fiance told me to ask this.... We can't remember the answer.... What kind of toilet paper is on the cruise ship? Should we bring our own? His name is Ramsey by the way if anyone wants to say hi to us this weekend on Conquest.

    Naussau Wedding question

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this.... I've been researching on getting married on the island when we're in Naussau. I know we have to be in Bahamian waters for 24 hours prior to obtaining the license which we can get in Naussau. The purser's desk can write out the statement we need saying we've been in Bahamian waters for the needed amount of time (we'll be in Freeport the day before). "The couple must be in The Islands Of The Bahamas at the time of application for the marriage license. If you arrive via cruise ship you will be required to obtain a letter from the ship's purser, confirming that you have met the residency period by being in Bahamian waters for twenty-four hours." BUT I can't find out WHERE we can get married. Now this is all just in theory right now.... we don't have a clue if this is going to actually happen or not, it's just something that we mentioned earlier. I looked at Atlantis and it's over $1,000 for a simple wedding which is WAY more than we want to spend. We seriously just want something very small, just us 2, our 2 friends as witnesses, and the minister/preacher/whatever. Does anyone have ANY idea where we could do this at? Or where I could get some info?

  7. It's on the Panorama deck, I know that there were some of these rooms (all the way forward) that you couldn't move the beds together to make a queen size bed, I was wondering if this was one of those rooms?
  8. We'll be taking a cruise in May out of Tampa. Our flight to come back home isn't scheduled until either 3:30 or 4:30 (depending on which flight we pick). The Inspiration gets into port at 8:am, what can we do right around the airport area for a few hours? Would it be worth it to rent a car for a few hours?

    I'm engaged!

This has nothing to do with cruising, but we got engaged Saturday while hiking in Hot Springs!! I'm so excited! I just want to tell EVERYONE lol
  10. Cruisers on this trip were ME! (Jess-23) and my boyfriend (Ramsey-25). We live in Shreveport, LA and were cruising out of New Orleans, LA. It's normally about 4 1/2 to 5 hours to drive down. We're extremely lucky and Ramsey has family that lives in New Orleans so that equals free parking and free hotel! Plus family time of course lol. But this cruise left on a Saturday, we had planned on waking up and leaving Shreveport around 5am Saturday morning. But as it got closer to the cruise I started thinking about how I really didn't want to get up and leave that early and be that tired on Saturday and miss most of the activities that night like we did last year. (We took the exact same cruise, same ports and everything, last August on Fantasy). So I asked for Friday off at work so I could spend an extra day doing last minute things and we wanted to take my son to lunch wherever he wanted since we were leaving him at home with my parents for the week. He's 4, and we gave him the option of ANYWHERE he wanted to eat. Where does he pick? Why Mcdonalds of course! So Friday we spent a lazy morning, I went in and took a test at 9am, and did some last minute running around. We went to McDonalds and got everything in the car. All the luggage ready to be put in the car (and our cat).... All the blue is mine.... the pretty pink bag is a gift for my best friend's little girl, her birthday was the weekend we were leaving..... and the one red suitcase is Ramsey's. I don't pack light.... We met my mom at 4pm and dropped of my son, I almost cried but he was so excited to be spending the week with Nana and Papa that he barely noticed we were leaving. And we were on the road! Ramsey is excited! We stop for a coke around Natchitoches, are we there yet? Not even close.... We get closer and closer, get off of I49 and onto I10 and hit this Just past Lafayette it's nothing but brake lights for miles. We were at a dead stop for a good 20 minutes, then creeped along for another 20. It was horrible. We saw people get out of their car and walk their dog, get out and talk to eachother, just walk around..... I was pretty miserable. But we're trying to be excited still! Ramsey trying to stay excited..... Me trying to stay excited.... but I've been driving for hours. I'm tired and hungry...

    Protein powder?

Would my boyfriend be allowed to bring protein powder on our cruise?
  13. I'm searching everywhere for it, I went to view documents and printed those with the boarding passes, but can't find the fun pass. I can view it, and edit it, and I went to the tutorial thing and it says there should be a button to click that says "Print Fun Pass" but on my screen, that button isn't there. In place of where that button should be, it says "Return to cruise manager" and it's grey, and next to that is a red button that says "View cruise documents". So is the boarding pass all I need? Or am I just being stupid and can't find the fun pass print button?
  14. Does anyone have them? I've googled everything I can think of and can only find either really old ones or ones for the 7 day.....
