Thanks for your time!! I'm not at all picky about what I have to read, I just like a book for the plane there and a book for the route home. I always brought one and just exchanged it on the Ryndam. Looks like that will work on the Eurodam as well.

You once posted directions from the Rev Dock to central station in Oslo and then on to the city hall. I thought I saved it, but I didn't and now I can't find the post.
Google maps doesn't know where the dock is.

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a "take a book, leave a book" section in the library. It helps to know what to pack!! :D
Thanks!!

I made a Copenhagen by Hours document so that I could see what was open at a glance when we are there is August.
I'll share it with two stipulations: 1.) these are times for this July-Aug 2015
2.) I may have made a mistake

The captain of the maiden voyage of the Eurodam was Captain Jeroen van Donselaar
I believe that Captain Edward G. van Zaane was captain for Nieuw Amsterdam

I have searched the forums and found no information on this place.
I am traveling to Copenhagen in late July 2015 with several history buffs. One of the things that appeals strongly to a travel companion is Viking history (being a descendant herself). I have found that Kongernes Jelling looks very interesting, but very far from Copenhagen. I noticed it passes through Funen. Would adding the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, Hans Christian Andersen museum, and Egeskov Slot on to the trip make sense? (So that we weren't wasting a full day on just a few (albeit really awesome) stones. I noticed that Roskild is also on the way out there. Would adding Roskild Cathedral and the Viking Ship Museum make sense?
How would you do this trip? Does a train work or would we need to rent a car? Any other pieces of Viking history closer to Copenhagen?
Thanks!!

So now it's confirmed....sorry to hear that.
Enjoy your cruise anyway, she's a beautiful ship with a wonderful crew.
Tell Joel (show host/pub trivia leader) hello from the Brainy Bunch:D

There is no way to verify the information. We are unsure if there is a delay or not, calling HAL said that there is NOT a delay.
As such, the thread was removed to remove confusion.

Hope to see you on board!

Those should read 1/4 oz for the HAL Weng Weng.
This sounds more like a "Whack Whack" ;) :D
Thank you so much for this! I laughed hysterically for quite a bit

Ah dang. I'm not really on the site that much, so I didn't know. At any rate, I'll be on board Ryndam during that time. I can't post my identity publicly.
I can post mine. notes4theheart @ gmail
I'm taking this sailing to say goodbye to a ship that my husband and I adore. I'd love to know what parts of her I should visit before I don't have the chance to.
Hopefully, everything will work out so that I can sail her one more time this summer.

Thanks everyone.
Will the door be locked if we aren't allowed out? Is that how you know whether you can go out or not?
I don't need to stay out there. I'd just like to head out while in port to photograph the bell.

You're allowed on the bow only during scenic cruising, when the Captain has agreed. It will be noted in the daily bulletin, and there will be direction signs put up to show you the way.
Go to Promenade Deck (deck 7 on that ship), forward, and head to the show lounge. Head to the "Emergency Exit" in the forward area, to the extreme side of the stage; it indicates you should not pass there. Under normal circumstances, that is correct. Go through that door, and through the second door that's a few feet further.
Now, you are in an undecorated area, where a staircase is coming up in front of you. Pass the staircase and head toward the open door which takes you to the bow. There will be a very high step to go over.
Thanks so much but...
:-( We won't be doing any scenic cruising in the Caribbean.
Oh well...

Hi everyone,
I know I read this on here but I've tried searching twice and can't find it.
How does one get on the bow on the Ryndam? When are you allowed to? I'm taking a final, goodbye cruise on board this December and really want to go see the bell.
Thanks!

I saw on the beverage menu that there is a water bottle bag with a liter of water included for $7. Does anyone know if this is covered under the beverage package? Thanks :-)
Edited to add: at the end of dinner they always brought over those little glasses with dessert drinks. I know they were less than $7...would those be included in the SBP?
-
They aren't sold out. They just aren't available until 60 days out.

Thanks so much! We are staying for a bit in Rome after the cruise but the flight at 6:50am is $400 per person cheaper so we are leaning towards that. We will look into the airport terminal hotel.
-
Is it possible to get to the airport for a 6:50am flight in Rome? Does public transit operate early enough?
-
I was wondering if anyone knew if the water buses in Venice operated on Christmas Day and New Years day

Hi DV, thank you for taking the time to share information about your city.
I'll be in Copenhagen next summer for several days. In addition to sightseeing, we'd love to leave the city for some other towns/cities. What are some great day trips from Copenhagen? I'm interested in lots of history and things that make the country unique. I also LOVE scenery.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi everyone!
I'm finalizing cruise plans and moving on to Copenhagen. I'm blessed with a schedule that will allow me to add several travel days on to my trip if need me. As a result, I'm trying to decide how many I'll need. What are some great day trips from Copenhagen? I'm interested in lots of history and things that make the country unique. I also LOVE scenery.
Are any of the other countries close enough for a day trip?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Your photos are stunning, may I inquire as to the camera you are using?

Congrats on making a desition. Its a different itinerary concentration on the southern cities (with one fjord).
Is a perfect cruise for a B2B.
Come to think of it I would not mind doing this itinerary....
Thanks for all your help. I'd LOVE to do it as a back to back but that's not in the cards this trip.
It actually includes Sognefjord and Oslo Fjord cruising. In addition, I added on a cruise to Lysefjord to see Pulpit rocks.

Yes.

Necklace at the “View”
in Roatan
Posted
Hi all,
7 years ago, I purchased 2 necklaces in Roatan, at the “View” which is a craft market. Victor Borden took us here on the fun and sun tour (it might have been a request from someone else on tour).
I purchased a white and blue shell necklace with matching earrings and a multicolored jade necklace (rectangular beads).
Recently, the shell necklace was accidentally broken when it fell from my jewelry box. I would love another one, and would cheerfully pay 3 times the cost it plus shipping if anyone found it.
if anyone would be willing to look and purchase, I would be forever great full.
I would also love another of the jade necklaces but it’s not a high priority.
thanks!
