I agree font and size and color is really bad.
Also would be nice to have the highlighted color back on the threads that we have read.
The sad part is I have seen all this happen before on a Florida Fishing Forum and today that site is a skeleton of what it once was.

There probably holding the ship for sid.
-
I'll reply:
There was quite a bit of variety in musicians, we had a 2 man calypso/steel drum, a guy playing an acoustic guitar, a woman on an accordion and a 6 or 7 piece ensemble complete with horns. The performers would shift locations, so they could be heard in different venues throughout the ship: poolside, in the casino, the atrium, and at parties. Nice diversity of styles.
I was also on this cruise and IMO this was the worst entertainment I have seen on any of my 30 Carnival cruises.
The group in the atrium ( Sixappeal ) was very good, but at the casino bar they had no dance music. A lady playing an accordion, a string trio, a horn trio, and a steel drum duo does not add up to dance music. The casino bar used to be rockin and people dancing, not this cruise.
Bob, I spent alot of time at the craps table. Did you happen to see the layer of frost on that table, I was the guy with the NAVY hat.

We got back after an amazing cruise and I called them back once again. We are cruising again on the miracle, same perks as mentioned above, and they also helped us save $500 on our suite on the Miracle after we had already booked! These guys are incredible!
If you play craps you are going to have a blast with the dealer Alan, Maria, Michale, Lee. They are the best and I have never had so much fun while losing money.:D

On NCL, I don't think the bar/wait staff get any gratuity from the free drinks, as they don't ring anything up or make you sign a tab. Carnival may be different.
On Carnival you still have to sign a receipt that prints out 15% gratuity, cost zero.
-
Wow, well that is good to know. That is a pretty good deal for them, they will probably try shoving drinks down my throat then.
Morrow, if your going on the Miracle just let Lindon (casino waiter) know and he will be your personal waiter the entire cruise.:D
-
I know when you purchase drinks in the casino, or anywhere for that matter, gratuity is already included. What about when you get comp drinks? I am going on an upcoming Carnival cruise and have my drinks comped, I just need to know if I need to tip or not...
No you do not need to tip. The waiter/waitress still get there 15% gratuity.
I got the Drinks On Us card a few weeks ago and asked this same question to the wait staff and the casino manager. The wait staff still gets the 15%. Have fun.

On setting the dice and the randomness of craps, I figure if you set the dice, flop them at the base of the back wall at the same location each and every throw, then you eliminate some of the randomness. Granted not all, but some if your good. The person that rolls the dice the length of the table as no control of the outcome.
As for Roulette. If the dealer (a good dealer) spins the wheel at the same speed every and spins the ball at the same speed every time, he does have the ability to land in the same 8 number zone each and every spin (if he or she wishes to do so). So the an experienced dealer can control the game.
This is just my opinion from my observations and experience.

Do any of the cruise lines' tables allow the fire bet?
Have any of you ever won big with this outrageously impossible bet?
I have never seen it on Carnival. It would be an entertaining bet though.

Amtrak from Orlando to Miami $76 for two people. Or from DeLand for $98

Here's the list I got from Carnival regarding drinks for Casino play...
Carnival Glory
Carnival Liberty
Carnival Pride
Carnival Conquest
Carnival Victory
Carnival Triumph
Carnival Fantasy
Carnival Legend
And in May your Carnival Magic.
I'll ask for an updated list...
Standby...
You can add the Freedom to that list because my wife got the "ON US" card on the second day of our March 6, 2011 cruise.:D
I would guess the list has not been updated and Mach's CCL contact just went by the published list.

I'm not an idiot I'm just old:D
Us idiot's still have fun if we pace our self's. Hell I was up until 3 am last cruise. Never had so many free drinks comin my way. Good thing the next day was a sea day.:D
-
Can we have a casino forum without have a pizzin contest?
There is not one thing that can improve or decrease your odds except you.:D
-
Wow cool picture and i have to give both of you credit for going on that.....looks like fun!
Thanks for the credit, it was a blast. We're gettin to old for this chit, but it's fun. I will admit that I hit the brakes a couple times. There are two 360 deg. turns that makes you think about flying into the trees. Next time, NO BRAKES.:D

DW and I going down the Bobsled run in Jamaica. Notice the concentration on the driver's face. My wife screamed all the way down the mountain, that's the only way I knew she was still with me.:D
-
I realize that the wheel or the ball has no memory, but the dealer does.
I look for the dealer that is throwing in an area. Split the table in half from #17 and play the half that is hitting.
If the dealer is all over the board, I will not play.
I box 4 numbers, 3 ways (cover 12 numbers), with $5 chips for $15 and win $40. It has worked for me on many cruises. It's not a high payout way to play, it's more like running a marathon and as long as your in the game it's fun and entertaining.
When the dealer changes, I cash and take a walk and have a beer.:D
-
On our recent cruises the $5 minimum has been for outside bets (even odds). You could still bet $1 on the inside.
We cruised Carnival in Oct 09 and March 10 and the min at roulette was $5 on inside or outside.
-
For me its about making new friends at the tables.
And that right there make a cruise. Gambling is entertainment and making friends and money (maybe) just makes it better.:D

About 4 years ago on the Crown Princess...$500 in the slot tournament.
I've come in second place 3 times, does that count for anything?
Actually our last time on the Freedom in March I won somewhere around $500 at the roulette table, and $1200 at craps. My wife won close to $350 at roulette.:D
On this cruise we had free drinks coming at us the whole cruise and we weren't playing high stakes. We just made alot of friends and had alot of fun with everyone.:D

I used to be a thrower and now I'm a flipper.
The majority of the players on a cruise just throw the dice and they roll forever.
If you flip the dice and stick them to the wall you can control your throw.
I guess people call this stacking the dice, but if you just take the dice the way the stick man gives them to you and flip them, you will have control of the dice.
If you have ever been to Jai-Alai, the players try to get to ball to hit right at the floor and the back wall at the same time and that is what works for me with the dice.
Not tellin you how to play , but it makes scene to me.
-
Okay, here is a photo of my wife and I doing the Bobsled ride in Ocho Rios. Notice the concentration on the driver and the hysteria of the passenger. She screamed all the way down the mountain. I figured has long as I can hear her, she still on board.:D
-
Another question...
If 4 or 10 is the point, what is your strategy? Do you press all your place bets?
Dress Blues & Elegant Night
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I have been on many cruises where military dress uniforms were worn on dress up night. There is nothing neater to see then military dress. I met eight US Airforce cadet on one cruise. Talked to them for over an hour about my military jet engine job and bought them all drinks. Be prepared to shake a lot of hands and drink free drinks.
By all means ware your uniform with pride.
