  1. Just to close the loop on this question. NCL did have on board a Saigon on your own excursion. It was $79 pp. and dropped you off at Ben Thanh Market in District 1; which is very centrally located. The streets and malls were decked out for Lunar New Year and so I did a Mani/Pedi and walked around, shopped and had a meal. And was quite amazed at the building boom that is going on in HCMC/Saigon over the last two years. I'm sure I won't recognize the place if I go back in two years time. Thanks to all for the info and advice; I could have saved myself the angst if NCL had that tour available at the outset; however I guess they need to feed people to the other options. The port is very industrial so a transfer is a must to get into the city.
  2. Thanks @scoochy12 was it Iberia plane or the discounter Vueling?
  3. Hi I chose the forum because the Thanks very much that would be very usefull as I've been there before and don't need to do the standard "see the city tours".
  4. I've been to Saigon as recently as 12/22 enjoyed it but not sure I need to do that again. I was thinking of going into town ( District 1) and doing a spa day at a hotel. Then I realized that there is likely no shuttle to downtown from Phu My /where we will doc. So now I'm wondering if I should do a tour ( just to get into town) or maybe go to Vung Tau ~ which I've never been to before. Open to suggestions to those who have been there before or stayed longer. My last trip I started in Saigon so it was not an issue.
  5. Thanks much for the feedback, their "premium" air offerings is why I'm reaching out now. I figured I'd test the waters and see if it was better to just book my own before I have no choice.
  6. I'm booked on the Escape in June and trying to figure out if I'm going to be given ( with my 2/1 airfare) a hop skip and jump to Barcelona vs. a direct flight. I'm trying to suss out if its just better to get the rebate on the air and book it myself to gtee a non-stop flight. NCL is no use as the hem and haw about not knowing until 30 days out ( effectively 60 days after you've made your final payment). Any experiences or guidance?? PS: I won't pay $250 to NCL to book "special" which I can do myself direct or via Expedia. Thanks
  7. Thanks much for the feedback. I'm going with a small group and I think three of us have seen Stonehenge, and to be honest the others are not that interested. Windsor however is something I've never done so I'm looking forward to it as they are as well. Appreciate the feedback very much!
  8. I'm doing an add on in London post Iceland cruise on Prima in June and I want to do a transfer to london with a side your to Windsor Castle. I don't need the driver to do the tour but I need that stopover built into the transfer. Does anyone have any experience/recommendations on a tour or coach operation that does this? Thus far all the cruise line has is a transfer to the airport. We will be a party of 4. Thanks
