Boarding Saturday. Is there a Punchline club on board?
-
Did the Lion Fish Hunt with them a couple years ago, good dive. Actually trying to book it again next week but no reply so far.
-
Thank for the updates, I'm on 10/3

" Buckanos, which we loved. we went in a stretch Cadillac"
I ask for a taxi, had four teen aged girls with us, told us to wait by the wall....wife said "here's our ride" as a stretch limo pulls around...she about fainted when it was our ride. Those girls will never forget that day. It was one of our better days in Cozumel.
-
The more I go, the more I love it. Go to the east side of the island if you've never been. Cozumel Bar Hop is a good first introduction.
-
Looks good to me. Wish they had it Valor in four weeks.
-
So far, the most value for my dollar I've found.
-
Its worth the tour just to go to the east side of the Island. I'm a Fo Ho, gone twice now.
-
I tried another line this year, nice ship, but I didn't use half of what they offer. I just booked two rooms and saved over $500 for the same week, and the inside rooms are bigger, not to mention the bath!
-
Roatan, West End Beach, Tabyana, one of the best beach trips. The reef comes up very close to the surface towards the south end of the beach and not much of a swim off shore it really drops off.
-
I finally tried RCL and you are spot on. I had a bad experience booking my shows for my RCL trip and then they didn't save once we were on the vacation, waiting for an opening sucks.
-
One thing I didn't mention was that while RCI supposedly had more entertainment on Allure, you needed to book online. I did, but nothing saved evidently, so when we were on the cruise we were stand by for shows, not fun.
-
I'm not and didn't mean to come across that way. Oasis and Allure are in a class all by their own. I will shop more in the future as I did like RCI and plan to try a smaller ship next time. But I will not hesitate to cruise Carnival either.
-
I am going to agree with you in most areas. Solarium was very nice and a greater passenger to hot tub and pool ratio. There were a lot of things I just did not need on Allure though.
My interior room seemed smaller and the bathroom while I liked the shower door was way smaller than any I've been on Carnival.
Carnival owns comedy, even the headliner joked, "Largest ship on the sea, smallest comedy room"
MDR food I found both good and nice to get something different for a change. I've had most everything on Carnival's MDR menu more than once.
I was not blown away by RCI's Giovanni's, did not try Chops as an apples to apples comparison with Carnivals steak house (Always has been good).
While I liked the big Allure and RCI did a great job moving that many people, the limited ports will keep me going on other ships. Not to mention I usually find their prices higher.
People on both are great, I did not find the snobs many mention, and the party crowd has never been an issue on my five day or longer cruises.
Find your best deal for the time you can go, or splurge and try something new. Enjoy cruising, and don't get your expectations too high.
-
Don't cancel! Two first for me, RCI and Allure of the seas last week. Both better than I expected. RCI does a great job moving the larger crowds and the ships layout helps. Unlike what I've read, Windjammer was not over crowded from my experiences elsewhere, service was better than expected on such a large ship, my time dining waits, other than the first night, were minimal. Other than the entertainment access, no worse than anything I've been on. All that said, I really didn't find that great of a difference in the overall quality of my cruise with the exception of the ship. Allure and Oasis are in a class all on their own. would I go again? Sure! But not sold on one line being that much better than an other.

Always had inside cabins, and never thought twice about it because of the savings. Then on Legend we got an upgrade to the "Ghetto Balcony", Liberty and Dream Balcony, and now Aft Balcony.....I'm afraid I'm hooked.
-
Well not exactly the upgrade call, but I did get a call last night to offer me a second week - 5/18 sailing, for $900 for two on a balcony room. I can't be away from my business that long:(
-
Jacks is what a real tiki bar is all about! Same beach and sand as closer to the pier, not too bad of a walk. I will stop by again in May.
-
I just booked May 11, checked for a roll call, none, started one, one response. The ship has 2.0 upgrades and is going to HMC...that's all I need!
-
Thanks! Just what I was looking for!
-
I received an email today about a VIFP "Exclusive Offer". I was hoping someone knew for sure, but I bet that is it. Guess I'll have to call, been waiting for DD1 to know her graduation and RN test dates prior to booking this year.

J.w...a.d.d.?

Three days between post! Put down the Mistletoe and compose! Talk about bad customer service!
Ok, I have a past with JW too so I'm allowed...
First time I met him he grabbed me and two minutes later introduced me to some lady passing by as his husband to test me...She left, I laughed.

J W Always has pictures, he's holding out....like a soap opera cliff hanger...
Glad to see you guys back with the funnel crowd.
