I’ve had the same experience as others to receive a minibar for each shorter cruise within a longer booking.

In the Cruise History of the Captain’s Circle account it shows how many credits we receive for each reservation.  My 28-day cruise later this year can be booked as 7-7-14 day cruises.  Thus I’m receiving 3 cruise credits which has always resulted in 3 minibars.

On a 20 day cruise that can be booked as B2B 10-day cruises you should receive 2 minibars.

That’s the way I see it as well

  2. We have a 20 day cruise booked out of FLL, we have one booking number, but the ship returns to FLL after the first leg of the cruise, my wife says we will only get one mini bar setup and I say we will get two setups, I called Princess and was told two different answers, which one person said yes and the other said no, as it is under one voyage number, I am sure in the past we had two mini setups, and they weren’t booked as back to backs, I see a lot of different info on Cruise Critic, so am I right or will my wife win on this issue. Thanks for your help

  3. We are Elite status just finished the Panama 10 cruise and got 250 Free Internet minutes, anyone know how many minutes we would be getting for our upcoming 20 day Caribbean  explorer cruise, just wondering if Princess would treat it as two 10 day cruises for 250 minutes each. Thanks

  4. So if you want a printout, go to the Internet Cafe, use one of their computers and print the statement off, they will help you print it if you have a problem, they won’t charge you, or just take a snapshot of the statement with your iPhone or iPad and print it when you get home, it will all be good

  5. Well, tonight looks like the Lightning are going down and who wouldn’t like CoachTrotz from Thompson. Don Cherry has Wpg playing Tampa in the finals, I’m predicting Jets and Caps, that is after Jests knock off Vegas in 6 games

  6. Hi, I had posted some concerns above, we were on the Ruby Mexican Riviera Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 and then Feb. 17, our first two cruises were excellent but the Feb. 17 cruise on the Ruby from San Pedro to Cabo San Lucas was not a good experience. I posted our concerns in this thread above.Yesterday we heard from Management fro Princess as my wife wrote the letter to them with our concerns. Our main concerns were the smoking and butting cigarettes into the carpet and the marijuana that some passengers were smoking, when we addressed these issues to staff on the ship, they didn’t do anything about it, we are asking what happened on this ship, did Princess change their rules. Management said the only complaint they heard about the Feb. 17 on the Ruby was the announcement early in the morning, where a passenger was missing and then found passed out intoxicated. I said to her, you mean no one else has complained about any concerns and she said we were the only ones, I didn’t just fall off the chip truck yesterday, I would say they have lots of complaints. She offered us a bottle of wine for our concerns, and we said we don’t want anything from Princess, all we want is answers on how Princess let this stuff happen and why nothing was done. I would have to think that a lot of you on Cruise Critic who were on that sailing voiced their concerns to Princess, and if you do have concerns about this sailing then please just take a few minutes of your time and let Princess know your thoughts. Would we sail again on Princess, absolutely, do we know how to party, yes we know how, when and where. We talked to a couple who were down the hall from us, they have been on Princess over 60 times and were frustrated with this one.

    Let Princess know your concerns

    Thanks again

  7. Actually the smoking violations were throughout the ship, don’t get me wrong, my wife smokes but only in designated areas, there was a captain change on the Feb. 17 sailing, but doubt that what happened was because of that, I spoke to security the second last day of the cruise and he stated that there were lots of issues on this cruise. On the first two cruises we saw the Captain all over the ship, but on the third segment, never saw him once

  8. A few comments, we were on the Ruby for the Feb.3 sailing and there was happy hour everyday at 3 in the Explorers and also in Skywalkers, some nights in Skywalkers the time for happy hour was 10-11 and sometimes 11-12, we were also on the Feb. 10 cruise and the happy hour was the same. We were also on the Feb. 17 cruise, which was the 5 day cruise and there was no happy hour on the ship. This cruise was the 5 day cruise and this was the cruise that turned into a bad one. There were a lot of younger crowd on the ship, and believe me, I can party hard but know to do it at the right time. And yes, the Captain did come on over the speaker phone in the early hours of the morning, looking for a passenger, the message came out four times, then there was a stand down that the passenger was located. That didn’t bother us at all as this might have been an emergency, but turns out they found the woman passenger passed out in the Crown grill, turns out she was partying hard in the Skywalkers then passed out on the stairs and ended up somehow in the Crown grill. In my opinion, how did she get so intoxicated, I would say ask Princess, they served her, here is what we experienced on our last part of our back to back to back cruise, there were people smoking everywhere, in the Casino in the no smoking areas and also on Formal night, and passengers butting out on the carpet, I approached Ronnie who was a Princess employee in the suit and he laughed at me and said there is lots of that going on. On our last night, we went to Skywalkers and the party was on, there was a female Officer there for a little time, then she left, then some of the younger passengers opened up the back door for their smoke break and were told they couldn’t and then a little time later they went to the far back starboard side and sat down smoking, not just cigarettes but then out came the pot, no one said anything to them, we the left. Don’t get me wrong, we can party just as hard as the young ones, but there has to be a time and place for this to happen. We were on the Island Princess in August with the Sip and Sail and never got happy like what just happened. We spoke with several passengers who are Elite just like us and their feelings are the same. My wife has written the letter to Princess looking for answers on how they let this happen on their cruise ship. Some people will say don’t let a whole bunch of party people ruin your cruise, they didn’t ruin our cruise, just left a bad taste for how Princess staff knew what was going on and let it continue. We are looking forward to hearing from Princess on our comments

  9. We have been Elite for over ten years already, we are going on the Mexican Riviera Feb. 3 for a back to back to back and the only Elite benefit I am looking forward to is having hot fries instead of the cooler ones sitting in the basket. The mini bar and and free laundry and priority tendering don’t even come close to the fresh hot fries. Looking forward to my new Elite hot fries benefit, not to mention the extra butter in the Dining Room

  10. You know these cruise lines have everyone buffaloed with these class standing such as Elite on Princess, just to name one . We ( my wife and I ) are firm believers that a cruise line should treat their customers the same . Great Food, Drinks and Entertainment . Please do not charge us extra for meals or drinks no matter what your room number is ! This should be in the fare !

Many lines like Viking will give you the treatment you desire with a higher fare, but in the end , add up your extra charges and they are about the same in cost. You will enjoy your voyage and come home refreshed and think back to your enjoyable vacation! Enough Said !

I would agree with you on treating everyone equal, we have been Elite for quite sometime already, we get the min bar setup, which I’m sure costs Princess peanuts, the free laundry which my wife won’t take advantage of. Priority tender is a joke, we still continue to sail with Princess and just put on the blinders with a lot of things that happen with the ship. There are some staff who are excellent and some who are not, just like anywhere else. But I do agree with you that the passengers should all be treated exactly the same,
