Thank you, this is so useful! Do you recall if there were sections of the menu he couldn't choose from or if everything was available for the flight?

I'm not sure about that - I do know they let him have 2 of one if he wanted etc. So if two people wanted to share the same ones they could. It's true though - if you have the drink package you can just order full size ones, and try them all!  🙂

Thank you!  I tried to send another request to shoreside concierge, but it wouldn’t let me add comments anywhere in the form…

Nice Upgrade!  How far out is your cruise? I think there is a number you can call if you don't hear from them.

So as USPS is still not tracking this number I called Princess to check on this out of curiosity.  They transferred me over to Ocean Ready and the lady there seemed to be saying that they would actually ship on the 11th or 12th of Dec (cruise is on 23rd).  I asked if she meant they are expected to arrive on the 11/12 or if they are just shipped on this date.  She said "Yes" and I couldn't get here to clarify.

So I will wait and see.  Not the worst thing if they dont arrive before we leave as we just have to do blue lane and get new medallions but I would prefer to have them and do Green lane.  Since, from what I am reading, they don't seem to have a priority lane for Platinum/Elite members any more we just have to get in line with everyone else.

Hi - We are in the US and have a USPS tracking number - package seems to move a little closer each day, but still in Los Angeles. We are also on the cruising on the 23rd. I will let you know if/when we receive them.

If its a busy ship then half 5!! Otherwise you won't get a seat anywhere. We always went at half 5 then straight to princess live for the trivia and game shows. Any later you really struggle for seats.

The dining rooms are all the same really, we favoured estrella but we just booked wherever is free.

You can always change your dining time and restaurant on the day if you want and if there is space

Thank you for the information. I also tried to book a specialty restaurant on the App and didn’t see the Crown Grill as an option on there…

Izzy - He was very good.  Kept the wine fridge and the other well stocked.  Brought shrimp, cheese & crackers every afternoon.  Was constantly checking to see if we needed anything.

We asked for loungers instead on the verandah and they showed up immediately.  A little crowded then, but not bad.  But I too miss the rattan loungers 😕

Yes - we really liked him. He filled in for Sini when he was on breaks etc. Izzy seemed really great!

We will be in RS 1614 in June. How many European plugs and regular plugs are in the suite?

We were in 1116 - and there were not many outlets at all, and I don't think I noticed any European plugs - but I could be wrong. I knew about the lack of plugs ahead of time so we brought a multiple plug thing with both plugs and usb ports. It was the allowable kind - not like a power strip. You can get them on Amazon - just type multi plug for cruising - something like that - have a great time!

We did a RS shortly after its partial revolution. One of the negatives were the two sun chairs on the balcony which were lie back with foot stool but without any cushioning. Have these been improved?

We did ask the butler to round up some cushions for us, which he did, but as they had no attachment to the chairs it was’t ideal. We would have happily swapped them for the pre revolution rattan….

Sounds like we had the same types of sun chairs - two regular seats at a large table and the two loungers with foot stools.

Can you tell me about the retreat lounge?   I’ve only been in there years ago when it was Michael’s.  I only drink non-alcoholic beer (hoping it’s not O’douls), can you bring beer back to your balcony?

Hi - I didn't notice the non-alcoholic beer brand but I know that they had some - yes - you can bring back up to your cabin. Prior to this I had only been on the Edge and that lounge is really very nice. This was nice, but an inside room and pretty small. the snacks seemed to be the same each night - we didn't really go there during the day. There is a bar to sit at and also tables/couches etc.

My Gold status was through status match but I've played a good amount at MGM properties.

Hi - Did it take a long time for BlueChip to respond to your email?  We have a cruise booked in April with BlueChip and our OBC hasn't shown up yet. I emailed them so we will see...

What would you do if your next door neighbors came back at 3 am and proceeded to have a get together with another couple for another two and a half hours? They were extremely loud and disruptive.

I don't want to antagonize them, because they could do this every night in retribution.

How did it go last night? Were they better??

  11. Thank you for the information. I just purchased this for my son for our cruise on the Equinox next month. We did have to purchase for the full week and I was told that there were only 10 passes allowed on that particular cruise. The onshore concierge did say that specialty restaurants were not included which I figured was the case. So, we will see how it goes. Just makes it easier for him to be able to join us in Luminae and the lounge etc. He only decided to join us on the trip much later and the re-pricing to have him with us in the RS was much more expensive than getting him his own cabin down the hall, which he is perfectly fine with doing. Sounds like you had a nice time and glad it worked out for your parents too.

I assume you have already considered and decided against your son being a third in the RS?

Our adult son has joined us in the RS a few times and it has worked well. The second 1/2 bath takes pressure of the bathroom and gives total privacy at night. During the day you have great family space at night the sofa bed is large and comfortable (our son is 6’).

The bonus doing this is your son automatically gets the suite perks included of WiFi, premium drinks package, unlimited specialty dining and laundry along with the access to Luminae, Retreat Deck etc. Add to that the third guest price in a RS/PH is much lower than the price for guests 1 and 2…I would think less than the cost of an inside cabin.

Hi - that's what we wanted to do initially, the problem was that he decided to go months after we booked and they were going to have to reprice the entire suite, to include a third. The price difference from what we had booked originally was HUGE and getting the inside across the hall was WAY more cost effective. So, that's what we decided to do. It will all be fine - can't wait to go!
