  1. anyone been to Paradise Beach recently, the last 2x we went the water was dark and smelly and barely anyone was getting in.,,this was 2 different years so we just went in the pool but one can go in a pool anywhere we prefer caribbean waters

  2. I did see they have transfers but I was looking to have something to do to pass the time as our flight doesn't leave until 5:30 so I am in no hurry to get to the airport. Thinking about doing the Cool Tours land and sea thing on our own, but with having our luggage with us I am not sure, which is why I was hoping for luggage valet, would make it easier for sure!

  3. I noticed that Royal Caribbean offers a post-cruise excursion to the Space Center in Houston, after you disembark in Galveston, but it only mentions a drop off at the Bush International Airport, nowhere does it give you the option to be dropped off at Houston Hobby.

With Southwest Airlines being such a major airline and they fly in/out of Hobby it seems odd that they don't include that airport.

Does anyone have any firsthand knowledge if they do have an option, for this shore excursion, to drop you off at Houston Hobby instead of Bush International at the conclusion of the tour? Thanks!

  4. The "BURRARD" station is on the EXPO & MILLENIUM lines, not the line which goes to the airport which is called the CANADA LINE. However, the Vancouver City Centre station (which is on the Canada Line) is only a couple of blocks from there. Where are you staying?

Hi Scottbee, we have reservations at The Sutton, they had a great deal for $44 to add early check in and late check out which works perfect coming off a cruise ship and us not having our flight home until 6pm. Looks nice and in a great location.

  5. Hubby & I are staying 2 nights at Ron Jon's Cape Carib and would like to get meals and/or drinks at Grills or Fishlips so we can watch the activity in the port (we aren't going on a cruise just spending time in Orlando) are these places close enough to walk from Ron Jons or is there public transportation or should we rent a car? Thanks! :D

  6. The airport has Public Baggage Storage at each terminal apparently. Anyone ever use it? Where is it located in each terminal (on level 2 - departures)? Is there a fee?

never used it, have read about it, and honestly never have seen where it is at the airport but I LOVE Ft Lauderdales airport it is broken into 4 smaller builders and is so easy to get around shouldnt be hard to find at all

  7. one way my husband & I have passed the time is we take a taxi to Hotel Pier 66 and asked the bell desk to watch our luggage (tip well) as we were going to be taking the water taxi to get a little tour. the water taxi leaves from the end of the dock by their bar/restaurant at 11:00am. sometimes we get off at stops to eat sometimes we just stay on and get a wonderful tour of the expensive homes along the waterways. it is ALWAYS a must do for us every trip and I can't think of a better way to relax and waste some time. you can google water taxi and get all the particulars as far as cost and stops and such. enjoy!
