Hopefully she will be a good puppy! Our daughter really lucked out with Lola. She is an absolute doll, so obedient, and is just a love. We feel that she is actually more human than dog. Lola was a Rescue dog, who was very needy after going through two or three homes due to weird circumstances (none of them her fault), but she has finally realized she's finally got a home where she is loved and needed by all of us who love her so very much, and that she's here to stay forever!

🧨Our Township Fireworks will be starting within the hour here. Our street is filling up with over-flow cars from the High School parking lot, where the fireworks will be set off. Bands already started over there. We are so fortunate to watch from our front yard. Our grandson Jack has his high school friends over for a barbeque since this afternoon, then they'll all head out front for the show. The only one not looking forward to this is poor Lola. Luckily, the Vet prescribed new meds. Happy 4th of July tomorrow!!!🧨💥🧨💥

@helen haywood I am sorry that you are in so much pain, Marian. I do hope your healing pains begin to subside sooner rather than later for you. Perhaps your PT can recommend something to help along? Soaking in epsom salts? Icing it? I sure hope the PT has some kind of answer to help to relieve this pain. Good luck today. ((Hugs))

Wow! do you know who this group was? They obviously were all together with their red backpacks, etc. As a New Yorker, I will say that as a young teenager, I did go up inside the Statue of Liberty, but I didn't go to the Empire State Building until Jim and I got engaged back in 1970, even though I had worked downtown, as well as midtown. As an adult, I did finally go to Ellis Island. Jim and I have never been to the 911 Museum, he hadn't been ready for a very long time, having spent a week at Ground Zero in search and recovery at that time. He's probably ready now. Having been to San Francisco two times, I have been to Alcatraz, and even met a man who had been an inmate and wrote a book about it, which I bought, and he signed for me. I went back into Ghirardelli two or three times to get a free sample of their delicious chocolate! We ate at Fisherman's Wharf and in China town. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and saw everything possible in the time we spent there. We then traveled all along Highway 1(?), stopping for 2 or 3 nights in different cities before ending our trip in San Diego. Best road trip of my life. California is a beautiful and awesome State!!

On Friday night, our granddaughter Ava called and asked if Jim and I would like to go to the "Outlaw Music Festival", starring Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, and Alison Krauss at the PNC Art Center. It turns out that our Ava is a big Bob Dylan fan. When I told her we'd absolutely love to go with her, she got the tickets and picked us up yesterday for the 5:00pm show. Just prior to leaving for the show, we were notified that Willie wouldn't be performing due to health issues. We got to the parking lot early, and heard announcements that they were delaying entrance to the park while following weather reports. They finally opened the park and the show started a little after 6:00. Our seats were at the back of the Pavilion, with the end of the roof just over us. A little after 7, a misty rain started. We were fine, but the people who bought lawn tickets were getting wet. Then it began raining a little harder; and harder. I had an umbrella, which I opened and put over Ava and myself, and we'd just get a little bit wet on our backs and side while we sat there. The wind, rain, thunder, and lightening then started. We stayed until around 8:00 and decided it's probably best we leave, since the 3 of us are now drenched. If only they had started on time, they could've gotten more of the show in before we left. We never did get to see Dylan; Jim and I have been to Dylan concerts in the past, but I felt bad for Ava. I'm really surprised they didn't call it for the lightening. Most people seemed to be staying. The only good thing about leaving when we did was that we weren't in long lines to both get out of the park, or to be sitting in a long line of cars to get out of there. We realized we definitely made the right call while on the Parkway and with the driving rain, you could hardly see in front of you...the rain was heavily unrelenting. Did I mention that Ava is a really good driver, besides being such a great young lady?💞
