  1. I tried Capital One, I tried American Express and Aviator MC as well as a Citi Bank Visa...all said no.....ugh.

It's a little to late for us to ask our local bank to exchange as they said they need a week. Oh well...you gotta do what ya gotta do. I would suggest you call ahead to your own CC company just to be safe.

But no matter what...it's vacation! and it's Cuba....it is going to be a blast.

  2. As our cruise to Cuba is in just 6 short days, I tried to notify my credit card company(s) only to be told they will be declined in Cuba as they are still sanctioned by the US. A MC and an American Express....so just a heads up. Either plan on bringing plenty of cash to exchange or call your CC company before you go. Would love to hear if some are being excepted......thanks and Cuba, here we come!

  3. Was there anything your kid couldn't do because of age or size? I have a 8 year old that is tall but only 55 lbs and a 10 year old that is 51 inches tall and about 65 lbs. My 10 year old is fearless and is REALLY tired to not being big enough, to the point that we don't go if there are many things he can not do. I can't find the minimum height and weight requirements, do you happen to remember?

Is there a place for small kiddos? 3-5 year olds?

  4. Hubby and I just booked a last minute cruise this weekend and we have one stop in Cozumel. We are looking for a day pass at an all inclusive preferably. Just a great resort, great pool drinks, chairs, service.......and not to far from pier. I have read a lot of comments on several but lots are older comments. I was thinking Secrets o but Mr Sanchos gets good reviews, a little more active and kids I guess. Any help would be appreciated. And we leave Thursday....Thanks all.....

  5. I need some suggestions.....We are a large family of 20 and we would like to visit the Turtle Farm for the morning. Does anyone have suggestions on companies that would do private transfers? I know there is a public bus but with 20 (10 kids) that is always tough.

    Thanks for the help.

  6. Just wondering if anyone has purchased any drink packages? I am kinda confused by them. It seems one says "juices". Do they not still offer juices free at breakfast, tea and lemonade at lunch? I know soda is always extra. One package says coffees and teas......does this mean specailty coffee or do they now charge for regular coffee? Can I get a bucket of beer with my premium package? Can' find much info on these....Thanks for the help.

  7. Good morning, as our cruise soon approaches, I had made plans to spend the day at Coconut Beach with a day pass. However, they have informed me due to the hurricane they will not be letting us use any chairs either at the pool or the beach. Not making for a great day in my mind.....

Looked at a couple other resorts for a day pass but wondering if anyone has an idea of a good public beach with a bar/restaurant? Not to far by taxi and hopefully not the most crowded on the island.....

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

  8. We will be cruising on the Jewel in Feb 2015. Haven't been to St Thomas in years but always like St Johns the best. Looking for a snorkeling trip, fun, food, drinks......Is St Johns my place to book or Antigua, St Corix or St Lucia? Could just rent a jeep on St Johns and head to Cinnamon bay on our own. Anyone ever taken that catameran over to the BVI and done the cliff jumping?

Open to any suggestions....you all have such great insight. Thanks
