I have also used the iPhone “FaceTime “ Audio (no video) with great success over Wi-Fi … only fly in the ointment is the party you are calling must have an iPhone also!

Not 100 percent sure but many insurance companies cover pre existing conditions only when perched within a given timeframe

We have decided to jump ship from NCL to HAL!

Room cleaning is once a day…. No turn down service in the evening…. You may request extra towels if needed. -
That’s exactly what happened to us on the Gem … got back after a tour at 3PM … Our room was still not cleaned for the day… I called the front desk to request two towels to shower and I asked her when she thought our room would be done… we were told it could be as late as 6PM! That’s ridiculous!! It really doesn’t bother me that night turn down is no longer done, but to have a room cleaned that late is unacceptable in my opinion!

No, easy walk off to pier!

It really depends on your signal location and how many people are using it at any given time. On the Gem it was fairly dependable, especially in the morning when many people are sleeping. I only had the basic internet and was able to audio FaceTime ( no video… audio only) without any issues.

On the Gem … same class… they are usually 7PM and 9 PM on sea days… in a port they are sometimes no shows or maybe movies
-
That’s my opinion…. And most land based hotels that I have stayed at have rooms ready by 3PM check in!

We were just on the Gem… came back from a tour at 3PM and room wasn’t cleaned yet. When I called the front desk to send up a few clean towels so we could shower, I was told that rooms can get cleaned any time between 9AM and 6PM! Personally,I think any time after 2PM is not acceptable. I know that it’s not the cleaning staffs fault because they are doing the best that they can, but it really makes me wonder how NCL can justify a $20.00 per person per day service charge for such terrible service… BTW… it really doesn’t bother me that they eliminated nightly turn down

After you log out it will give you an updated balance…. Over 150 minutes it will stop working 😊
-
This seems so unfair and unreasonable for these workers … I wonder if it’s just a matter of time before word gets around and NCL has a hard time trying to find decent help. Further more, if people are not getting good service, how many are going to keep paying an exorbitant $20.pp per day without feeling the need to adjust the daily fee.

Help me decide what's wrong and what I can do about it?

I was also going to suggest Holland American…. Unfortunately most back to back cruises are rinse and repeat -
Question about Parking at Manhattan Cruise Terminal
Mrdell replied to njnjgirl's topic in East Coast Departures
We looked into the parking at the NCL Terminal and it was $400.00 for an 11 day cruise so we decided to take the Amtrak train in and pick up a cab to the terminal…. According to google maps it is 1.9 miles…. Not sure what cab fares are but seems like the best option! -
I had to go into “ edit check in” and then was able to download all my cruise documents… that was the only way I could access them…. Good luck

Thanks so much for this suggestion… I happen to have this device… worth a try!

Thanks! Hopefully Gem will be the same!

Going on the Gem this year… would anyone be able to confirm if the Gem’s televisions have HDMI Inputs, and are they active to accept an external device to connect a DVD player, etc. Thank you for any information 😊!

I have booked both ways and I prefer to handle the booking myself! I find it is so much easier to pick up the phone and have questions answered directly without going through a third party. Not sure if it’s just me but the biggest perk I received from a travel agent is a $50.00 Onboard credit! Not worth it in my opinion.
