I was searching deck plans for Explorer of the Seas and noticed that they state until 4/19/13. Can anyone let me know where I can find desk plans for after that time. We are looking to book a room for 2014 and wondered if there is a difference Thanks

Be sure to try your hand at steering under sail, quite a thrill! Enjoy a wonderful day, and I forgot to mention the water was the bluest my wife and I have ever seen, we were mesmerized by the water.
Thanks so much, we are going!!!!:D:D:D:D
Counting the days!

I can tell you that the Excellence is one of our very favorite excursions we've done out of 8 cruises and a ton of different sails and such. We snorkeled a little but we're more into the sailing and enjoying being on the water and we really enjoyed motoring through English harbor and along the coast. The run home is a lot of fun. The crew is excellent and the cat is a nice 2-tiered cat with lots of room. We were vacationing with 3 other couples and we all loved that day.
Others have recommend the Lobster and beach excursion and we may try that when we stay on Antigua. But I wholeheartedly recommend the Excellece for a great day on and in the water.
Thank you for the info, I think we will be booking, looking forward to a great day!

Glad you enjoyed it, the island is beautiful, the views from Shirley Heights amazing. We saw Clapton's old house as well as his new compound. Next time try the Excellence catamaran - even more amazing views along the coast and cruising English Harbor.
We are thinking about doing the excellence catamaran, can you tell me more about your experience. Just wondering if this is worth it? We are leaving next week, Thanks

thanks so much, I guess I do not need to worry about the dry dock, Will have to visit EOS again after dry dock to see the improvements!!!

We were on EOS in January and loved it, looking to book for Jan 2014, but read somewhere that it was scheduled for a dry dock. Is there somewhere to confirm if this is true and what they would be doing. Just curious.
Also, have never booked directly with RCCL and wondered if there is an advantage in doing so.
Thanks for your help, Terri

All side balconies are covered on Splendor. It's the aft balconies that you have to watch out for if you want to be covered.
Thanks so much, have to pick one. Time to book!! :D

We are booking a balcony cabin on the Carnival Splendor out of California to the Mexican riveria.
I have heard that there are covered or uncovered balcony.
Not sure what is better or even if Splendor has an option.
I would appreciate any advice on picking a cabin for this cruise.
We are late in booking, going the end of April.

We are booking a cruise on the NCL Jewel
looking into Deck 9 cabin 9589
it is actually sideways. the other cabins face the another direction,.
I was thinking maybe it was bigger than the average.
Was wondering if this would be a good spot, and is the space around was some sort of crew space that maybe noisy,
Thanks for any help

Although we've already booked this race' date=' I'm partially disabled and my left leg is not very strong.
Can anyone tell me how you transfer from the tender (from shore) into the sailing vessel? Do you need to climb a ladder? Or, is it a quick hop from one boat to another?
I'm really excited about this excursion (so is DH) and hope I get to race
Your guidance is greatly appreciated.[/quote']
We did this race in Jan 2012, so fun. The transfer is not difficult, you will need to step down into the sail boat and be able to to move from one end to the other, at the end when they take the sail down we all needed to get to the front and sit down. Other than that you will need to brace your self when the boat is tilting (for lack of a better word). It was alot of fun!

Yes Salad.
Cabin, it depends on what you need.
Cabin Selection
To avoid the motion of the ocean, be in the center of the ship.
Top to bottom. Front to back. Side to side in really bad seas.
Stabilizers do a good job but sometimes …
To avoid noise
What is around you
What is over you
What is under you
Look at the deck plans
To avoid long walks
Where are the elevators
To avoid elevators, where are the steps?
Do you want to be close to MDR, windjammer, pool deck, casino, schooner lounge?
To avoid $
Inside
To get a view
Balcony
Many thanks, we will be booking on her shortly, cannot wait!!!

My DH and I just got off Explorer of the seas and had a wonderful time, we are thinking about doing the Enchantment next year and had a few questions.
Is there a quiet place to sun bathe, not necessary by the pool?
Do they have the promenade in the middle like Explorer?
Do they have the tutti salad on sea days in the MDR?
How is the room service?
Best interior cabin? we are looking to go Jan 2013.
Thanks for all your help!!!

We just got home from our RCCL cruise, and did the America's Cup, what an adventure. It was awesome, cannot wait to go again, highly recommend this excursion to anyone!!!

For recent cruisers: I think I read the movie theatre was not working last week...is it back up and running? What are the movies currently playing on the TV and movie theatre? I like to download some movies for the trip and do not want to rent anything that I can view on the TV. Thanks
I just got off the EOS today and the movie theater was not working, they offered for you to watch the movies in the conference room. Some of the movies playing were Thor, Green Lantern, however the next day they were playing on the TV. Enjoy, we had a great time,

I was just reading on a post elsewhere, that you can bring food off the ship. If you were having a beach day and wanted to bring something off for lunch. Is this possible, or will they stop you as you leave.
The post recommended bringing a collapsible cooler and ice pack.
Just wondering!

You won't be able to switch. You have to pick one or the other. If you pick My Time Dining, you also have to pre-pay your gratuities.
There is the buffet as an option if you don't make your assigned seating.
Another alternative is to pick My Time Dining and make reservations at your preferred time (and if necessary and there is availability, you can switch these when you are on board if your schedule changes - not an option with a set dining schedule.)
We've picked My Time Dining and have made reservations in advance for 6 p.m. each night. That time will likely work fine, but if it conflicts with something, we can change the time when we are on board, which wouldn't be an option if we had an assigned seating.
Thanks so much for the info, we may consider doing this,
5:30pm seems a little early, especially on a day in port.
We are excited, getting close :D

We will be sailing in Jan 2012, on EOS. we have a confirmed early dining. But I was wondering if there was a night or two that we did not want to eat so early, would we be able to go to anytime dining that evening and if so how would we go about it? Thanks for your help. Terri

Jan 2012 will be our first time on the EOS, so excited. Had a question, does anyone know if EOS prepares a lunch that you can take with you on a day in port. I have read that some other cruise lines will prepare bag lunches, of the sort, for you to carry off, if you so desire. Just wondering??? Thanks!!

What suggestions do you have for the easiest way to track where the price of a cabin class is?
Do you have to:
1. Go to the Cruise Line Website
2. Choose your voyage
3. Start to make a booking
4. Choose the same type of cabin as the one you have booked
5. See what the current price is…
Or, is there an easier way?
I too would be curious if there is an easier way!

We were on the Explorer two years ago when the Yankees were playing the Phillies in the World Series. Needless to say, their were many passengers from NY, NJ and PA on board. The games were shown on a large screen TV which was set up in the Maharaji Lounge. Chips and salsa was served. Bar service was available.
That would be so much fun, I hope they do that again, Thanks, I will check into that when we get on board. Yeah

they will probably show it in the sports bar (weekend warrior..) , possibly on TVs in guest rooms..and MAYBE in the theatre but i am not sure about that...i know on =X= Summit for the Superbowl they had a HUGE party...lots of fun....(not that it pertains to your question....but it was fun!)
Thanks for getting back to me, I hope they have it in the sports bar or theater, it is fun to watch it with other people. thanks :)

We will be sailing on EOS in Jan 2012, was wondering where is recommended to watch the NFL championship game. In the past we have been on ships where they have the movies under the stars, but was hoping they would be playing this somewhere other than our rooms. Has anyone encountered the games on the EOS? Thanks

We were on Liberty last summer and docked in San Juan. We docked right in front of the Marriott casino. When we walked off the ship all the little shops and touristy things were right there. I'm not sure where the other port is, but I think that is the main one. She'll be docking in Old San Juan.
Many thanks for the info on San Juan, I am trying to remember, is this right by the Fort? Any suggestions about what is best to do there, we will be arriving at 2 pm, Thanks again , Terri

We are taking EOS in January 11 days, out of Bayonne, and will be stopping in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Does anyone know which port in San Juan we will be docking at, or how I can find out, Thanks Terri

We are changing from deck 9 to 7, due to a date change. Wanted to make sure there was not major changes that would involve our rooms.
Do you know if it will be going into dry dock or when it did? We were on in Jan 2012.
