If it has an alcohol content, it will be considered wine. If you purchase at a port stop, you can pay the $15 fee for it when entering the ship again. Once the fee is paid, the wine can be taken anywhere on the ship to drink. No restrictions. If you want to buy at a port stop and not consume it on the ship, they will take it for you when you board and you can collect it usually the last night.

Get to the Beatles show very early, on our cruise it was packed to the rafters.

Must have been 500 people crowed into the small cavern club and we got there early could not get in... :cool:

Sounds like you took an excursion, perhaps? We were in Santorini a couple of years ago on the Jade and it was crowded then too...it is one of the world's most beautiful places. We took the tram up and down....long line each way but it moved quickly both times. We walked to the bus station and for a few Euro we rode the bus to Oia and back to Fira. Oia was very crowded but so is much of Europe and we just walked with the flow.

We did Oia on our own also. It was wonderful, crowded but we stopped and had a nice lunch and just watched the world go by. I guess it's what you make of it, some people just don't get it... :cool:

Stop reading reviews. I was on Anthem in March and in April. We had a fabulous time. The April cruise was booked at the last minute, and I was still able to book entertainment, iFly, North Star, and a dining rotation once onboard.

This is what I would say too. Lot of people out there that are never happy. :mad:

A cruise is what you make of it, I have never had a bad cruise!!! :D

Go and enjoy your special trip, quit stressing. It's all good!!! :cool:

From the ship to Oia:

 

1. Tender to the island.

2. Get to the tp of the cliff. You can walk (free), take a cable car (5 Euros or so) or ride a donkey (6 Euros or so).

3. Walk to bus terminal (5 to 10 minutes)

4. Ride the bus to Oia (1 1/2 Euro).

 

There is alsoa boat from the tender port to Oia. I am not sure of the cost.

That's how we did it. It was very nice, had a nice lunch in Oia and back to the ship. Enjoy!!! :cool:

We are on the Nov. 10 sailing, like the ports better even though we have been to all the ports more than once... Might just stay on the ship and chill-out!!! :cool:

We enjoyed the Moderno, The Brazilian, and Taste. We could not get into the Italian La Cuchina, but didn't try until the last two nights. All the places we ate were just wonderful, did not enjoy room service as the portions were very small and limited. Enjoy your cruise and Have a Cocktail for me!!! :cool:
