HUGE improvement! We're on Jewel and just noticed there hasn't been a single announcement outside of the muster instructions. I kept waiting for a "gangway open" announcement this morning but it never happened.

Happy to report that the ship-wide ("pervasive") wifi is live on Jewel! I had read conflicting reports about whether it was active ahead of her dry dock but according to a staff member it takes longer than the dry dock time to install the new wifi system so it was done ahead of time.

We had a coupon in our stateroom for 10% off an unlimited wifi package plus buy 1 package and get the 2nd half off. Unlimited is $20 per day and the second device is $10.

I found that I can use the 1 device package on my phone, log off, and use it on my laptop. They give you an access code to enter on their wifi splash screen.

I measured the speed at 0.3 Mbps up/down from my stateroom so I'm not sure if this is the same service being marketed as "Voom" on other RC ships or not.

Will be on Jewel this Sunday. Could you tell us what 2 nights are the formal nights?

We were planning on trying to do a day pass on January 19th so I called the Marriott to see if they would reserve 2 for us (obviously they won't, but I tried). They said that if available, it would be $35 per person.

I also stumbled upon a website called "Resort for a Day" that says they can guarantee a day pass at the Marriott for $59 per person. Has anyone done this? Not sure if it's legit, but I might pay $14 extra for the piece of mind.

Is there a bag drop for suites? I see mention of a "Priority" line so I assume that might include suites.

We're on Jewel in about 2 weeks leaving from San Juan and had no idea about this. Can you drop bags before 10AM? Thinking about dropping bags early and coming back after noon. We're in a Suite so I'm really just worried about getting stuck in a bag drop line.
