  1. The one aspect that deters me is the fact that the minimum age for speciality dining is 12, which means we can not visit one as a family for the whole 14 days :(

Kids under 12 are allowed at Tuscan Grille & Qsine. Only Murano has the 12 years age restriction.

  2. Straight from the Blue Chip Club:

  3. Well my charge finally appeared on my credit card. Of course, instead of charging me the quoted $27.20 CAD per unit I was charged $25 USD on the basis that my reservation was booked in USD (and then converted by my CC at 1.28).

On hold with them...we'll see how it goes.

Well after getting nowhere on the phone, I gave in and cancelled my order then sent a email to Celebrity noting my disappointment.

However, received a call from Celebrity tonight in response to my email and they have indicated they will be refunding the difference to me so I will be paying the advertised rate. Woohoo!

  4. Drinks are free if you are a member of the Blue Chip Club which is by invite only.

If you play enough, the Casino Manager should approach you by the end of your cruise with an invitation. Of course I presume you could always ask that your play be rated so they can determine if you qualify for an invite (in which case they will keep track of your spend).

  5. I was at a craps table Monday morning and wasn't paying attention (half asleep still) and accidently put my bet down on don't pass. I actually won twice in a row before I realized what I had done.

I had a super long roll later that day (seemed like forever) where I absolutely killed someone betting the don't pass...there is no greater joy :D

  6. Anytime you cash in more than $2500 in chips at one time at land based casinos there is a form filled out, more than $10,000 in a day another form(SARP). There's a warehouse in Washington full of these forms, so I don't worry about it.

I've never had to fill out a form of any kind

  7. Keep in mind that payouts include every penny that has been won. So when you get .25 and you win .15 that is .15 that goes into the "payout" pool even if you end up losing every cent. You will never get the casino to tell you how much they profitted on a cruise.

I would estimate that the casino would end up with anywhere from 8-15% of every dollar put in the machines.

How about card table jackpots? Hit a Royal Flush at Ultimate Texas Hold'Em!! :o
