  1. The cams have been up for over a week. Some days you see tons of salmon (like today) and sometimes you don't see any jump. The Bears are incredible to watch. They all have their own methods of fishing. I keep the one cam going on my second computer at work and now I have our whole department watching the bears.

  2. Now, I admit to being biased....:) but the very best thing you can do is go see Peanut, the wonder dog who wears a pink Tee shirt and zinc oxide on her noise on the Herbert glacier...take one of those big yellow Coastal helicopters and go for a dog sled ride with Peanut leading the way....did I say she was a leader? who wears a pink Tee shirt? :D Did I mention that she is my dog? Huh? Huh? Huh? :D Oh, and did I mention that she has gorgeous blue eyes.....??????

Will she be there in August? I'm taking this tour and would love to see her!

  3. I am going on my fourth cruise next month with Royal. When I first decided to cruise, I was looking for a Mediterranean cruise and Royal had the itinerary I liked best. Since I had started earning points, I decided to keep using them because I was very happy with the cruises I had taken. I will continue to book with RC except when their itinerary doesn't meet with what I want. For example I want a British Isles cruise and RC doesn't really have what I'm looking for so I will have to book with someone else. They also do not have the type of Hawaiian cruise that I want so again I will book with another line. I like their product and I like familiarity so I have no problem using them when they have the itinerary that I want.

  4. I'm loving your review. It brings back memories of our Med cruise which was our first cruise five years ago. I had to laugh about D&J. It must be something about Rome. I organized all the tours, collected CC people, etc. We had the same people on all our tours with the exception of Rome where these two came along. They weren't late but SHE was obnoxious and very rude to our driver who was so nice. Then her husband pulled something at the Vatican which I won't post but was very embarrassing. I did the same and just ignored them for the rest of the day and at lunch time we took off and let them on their own. The nice thing is, we have kept in contact with two of the other couples and have gotten together with them several times since then even though we live all over the country from each other.

  5. It's so sad. Thursday night my husband and I were sitting on the patio and I was showing him the Island Wings website and what our plane looked like. We are going to Anan but when he saw the pictures of Misty Fjords he said he wished we were going there instead because it was more scenic. Friday morning I received a text from him about the crash. What a shock.

  6. I am jumping on this with a Capilano shuttle question. We are arriving at 11:40AM on August 6. We will head to our hotel, St. Regis, check in and drop luggage and then plan on doing Capilano. I had planned to walk over to The Hyatt since it seemed like the closest stop. Originally I had thought Blue Horizon but Hyatt looked closer. Would it be better for us to walk the further distance to Canada Place to avoid the bus being full?

  7. I am a crazy planner. I always have a "next trip" on the back burner. I am fortunate that my husband and his sister and her husband who travel with us do not care to plan at all. They leave everything up to me. My sister-in-law gave me all of her credit card info and I book everything. If something is particularly expensive (heli/dogsled) I run it by her before I book it. My husband had one request for the trip and that was to fish so I got a nice fishing trip set up for him. I know many people don't plan but I would never be able to do that. For me, a lot of the fun of a trip comes from planning.

  8. I don't see a problem with using them on a cruise ship or most other places. However, I can completely understand Disney banning them from their rides. Think how dangerous it would be if someone were to use it on a ride and it got stuck or knocked out of their hands and injured someone.

@pscruzinboyz - Love the way your picture turned out!

  9. We're doing both. Float plane to Anan and Helicopter dogsled with extra landing. Very expensive. I booked the bear tour over a year ago but just booked the heli dogsled last week. The only way I did it was because I saved so much on my airfare that I used the savings for that tour. Using airline points and credit card points, I am flying round trip from PA for $167.00 for two people. I have been socking away every cent I can because both tours were so important to me and I'm not sure if we will be back (although everyone says we will:D). I hope you can do both too. Now all we need is good weather!
