  1. Their soap works OK on my underwear & socks. ;)

It's also good to use in the shower to keep clean.:D

I use the shower gel to wash stuff in the sink too! That's about all it is good for. Some dispensers look like they have been watered down. They are barely blue.

I always bring my own shampoo, conditioner and a bar of soap. I use the little ship provided bar to wash hands at the sink. :)

  2. I'm considering purchasing the All-Inclusive Photo Package for our upcoming cruise in July. I was wondering if the digital copies they give on the USB flash drive are high enough quality for good 8 x 10 prints, or just good enough for sharing on social media and such. Thanks.

I purchased the Photo Package, pre-cruise, for our trans-Atlantic on the Regal this past April. I loved it and certainly got our money's worth.

I enjoy scrapbooking, so I especially like all the port disembarkation photos or the photos that have information about the cruise or port included in the border. Special photos such as the Champagne Waterfall, Stanley the Bear, on the Seawalk or with the Captain are all fun memories. Photos include your cabin mate and any photos that either of you are in.

It just took minutes a day to collect the photos and have them scanned on to the cute, ship flash drive. We came home with about 80 photos! :D

  3. LaGuardia airport is undergoing a major renovation. I would not, under any circumstances, fly in or out of there. Traffic is horrendous.

I would opt for Newark. That is my home airport and I have never had any problems there. Depending on how many of you there are, taking the Princess shuttle is probably the best way to go. There are many tolls going from Brooklyn to NJ, so a taxi or Uber will cost a fortune depending on which tunnels, bridges and toll roads are used.

  4. I was just on the Regal, Feb 11-18. Internet speed was very good. I had 3 devices with me. A laptop, an IPad and my phone. I could use any device I wanted, but only one at a time. If I was logged on to my laptop which was in the cabin, and I was now in the IC wanting to use my IPad, I would get a message saying 'you are logged on to another device. do you want to log off that device and log on to this one?' Click yes, and you are all set. :)

  5. For a Baltics cruise, I would recommend anytime dining. The days are going to be long and varied. This way you have the option to dine whenever you want. The buffet is so good on the Royal, most nights I found myself just going up there rather than to the MDR. I don't know what I am going to be doing each day, and do not like to be locked into a certain dining time. :D

  6. I just returned from that same cruise aboard the Regal. I was even remarking with other passengers the lack of sick people. Rarely saw coughing and sneezing. Most seemed fairly healthy.

I worry more about the plane ride to the ship. I always take clorox wipes and do the air vents, seat arms, tray table, my headrest and the one in front of me.

I think Princess does a good job on turn-around day. I just keep my hands away from my face and wash them often. :D

  7. I booked the Regal, Feb 11th cruise as an ID guarantee back in November. I had shied away from guarantees due to some less desirable outcomes in the past, but thought this time I would give it another try.

About 5 weeks ago, I got my assignment. I had been upgraded to a sideways IB on Riviera. I was happy.

Last night when I got home, I checked my email only to see one titled "Upgrade Notice for your Feb 11, 2018 Cruise" To my surprise, I had been upgraded to a BE on Baja. I was totally floored! No upsell, a true free upgrade.

It only took 39 previous cruises on Princess to finally score an upgrade!! Could not be happier. :D:ship::tropical-drink:

  8. I love my packing cubes. I have eagle creek and Shacke Pak

One thing that I have and I don’t know how I ever lived without it is my eBags Pack-it-Flat toiletry kit.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I use the Ebags brand of packing cubes also. I must agree, the Pack-it-Flat toiletry kit is the best!!

  9. I absolutely love my packing cubes. It makes the suitcase so organized. You can find things in a jiff without messing everything up. I like to take a small one in my carry on that contains a complete outfit, just in case. ;)

I pack similar items together. A cube of tops, cube of pants, etc. I don't know how I traveled without them!

  10. I have booked a corner aft balcony on golden for Alaska. now I see the last minisuite on emerald is open for $100 less. I am just curious on who wpuld switch and who would stay in balcon. From everything I read the corner aft is one of the most popular balconys

I did the exact same thing on a Baltics cruise. I had corner aft on Caribe and went to E731 and loved it!!! I also saved $1250 by doing this!!!

  11. Is the first tier Loyalty OBC $25 per person or per cabin? When I called Princess they said per person. CC says per cabin. My account was credited $25 today (6 days before cruise). Before I call Princess to ask what happened to the second $25, I thought I’d get the real answer here.

Does it actually say "loyalty credit" in your personalizer? I am up to $75 in loyalty credit and never once has it shown up in the personalizer before the cruise. A card is left in the room letting you know of the credit.

  12. I don't see any good reason to put cruise tags on a bag that is being checked with an airline. What's the rush? Place the tag in and inside pocket and after arriving at destination, rip off the airline tag and apply the cruise tag. Seems simple enough.

My friend and I were leaving from EWR to FLL to board the Crown. We always put the cruise tags on before flying. We both checked our bags with the SkyCap and off we went. When we arrived in FLL, my friends bag came down the carousel no problem. When my suitcase did not appear, I went to the United office. They scanned my luggage receipt and guess what? My bag was still sitting in EWR.

They were going to try and get it on a Delta flight that would arrive before our departure.

United told me it was a good thing I had the cruise tag on the bag, as it would help identify it and get it to the proper location.

In case my bag did not arrive in time, United got a limo to take me to the mall and gave me $500 to get some clothing and toiletries. I got my bag 3 days later in Grand Cayman. I don't think it would have found me, if not for the cruise tag.

Have you folks seen an airline tag? It looks nothing like a cruise tag. Put the cruise tag on a side handle if you think the airlines are that dumb. ;)

  13. We are booked for a B2B in February on the Crown returning to Port Everglades on the 18th. We are retired and would be open to stay on the Crown for the 5 day after ours if the price is right. I have heard of people being offered great deals but I'm not sure how that would work. There seems to be lots of cabins still available.

    Anyone done this?

I forget which ship it was on, but they put announcements in the Patter advertising reasonable prices for those who wanted to stay for the next cruise. Unfortunately because of work and flights I couldn't take advantage of it.
