    Or Semisonic's version...

Closing time, open all the doors
And let you out into the world
Closing time, turn all of the lights on
Over every boy and every girl

Closing time, one last call for alcohol
So, finish your whiskey or beer
Closing time, you don't have to go home
    But you can't stay here

I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
    Take me home

Closing time, time for you to go out
To the places you will be from
Closing time, this room won't be open
Till your brothers or your sisters come

So, gather up your jackets, move it to the exits
I hope you have found a friend
    Closing time, every new beginning
Comes from some other beginning's end, yeah

I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
    Take me home

Closing time, time for you to go out
To the places you will be from

I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
    Take me home

I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
    Take me home

    Closing time, every new beginning
Comes from some other beginning's end

  2. I used one yesterday to pay for internet package on upcoming cruise. It took the info and the money from the gift card but said could not connect with gift card processor. Had to call Carnival and they said the package was purchased and then cancelled. Now I have to wait on another electronic gift card from Carnival for the price of the internet package.

Have any of y'all heard about that lady named Tiffany Banks on social media who says Carnival canceled their cruise in the fanciest suite on Carnival Celebration only a day before embarkation, and won't tell them why? Carnival is saying that she canceled and she says she didn't. She says she'd had it booked for a year and had paid in full. Some people are speculating that Carnival pulled the suite to give it to someone more important. Others are saying there's more to the story that she's not telling. I am curious to know what the truth is.

When I heard the story, she said she found out it was cancelled when she was at the port to board with her boarding passes in hand. Something fishy

Whelp. I spent a fair amount of time trynna figger this out.

The short answer is no. I booked 2 adjacent double cabins with a base rate of only $650 pp. The rooms have no extra beds or berths.

I am still not sure exactly what is the best, smartest or most ethical way to handle this as I do have insurance but I am electing not to make a claim. He will just be a no show at embark and his fare will be forfeited. We will have the two rooms. Ship is full, it’s not going to be feasible for them to reassign us somewhere else in the terminal.

    Here’s the TL:DR.

It’s not clear that the situation is a covered reason. I can make some calls to find out. (I won’t.) If so, I would need to cancel him with RCI officially and get a letter and then file a claim. If not, I do have cancel for any reason at 50% reimbursement to do the same. $325.

Apparently if I do all that, the cruise keeps the forfeited fare and can possibly then charge me more $$ as a single supplement, or possibly at their discretion move us 3 to one room. (If they can even find one.) And fares have risen since I booked and maybe they charge today’s higher fare to move.

So I could collect a few hundred from insurance and then have to actually pay more to RCI and/or be moved into one room.

From a few other threads on CC and elsewhere it “appears” the best strategy is to do nothing, keep what I booked, enjoy having my own room and consider the lost $ is just a very reasonable single supplement anyway.

How will it work with the adult being a no show and leaving an under minimum age (I think you had given ages before that were under the minimum) in the room alone?

Got another email from NCL about my Pearl cruise next month… I was nervous at first, because we’ve already lost multiple ports and had excursions altered and canceled… the subject line just said “IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CRUISE”…. Then I opened it, and….

DIL went on Kindergarten field trip today.  One of the kids had this in their lunch box:

Oreos, fruit snacks, fruit by the foot, sun chips, m&m's and granola bar.  Anyone in that household think to check the lunchbox?  And why would you let a kindergartener pack their own lunch?

Just need a glass of milk and got it covered.

I ended up having to call.  I entered mine like 5 times but the balance never changed. I’m not sure what the deal is with these gift cards. I was just happy the CC rep could enter it for me. Best of luck!

After you enter the gift card number and pin and hit apply you still have to enter the amount you are wanting to pay at the bottom of the screen.

I think this is a good time to just get my card switched out so I can bank the pretty 25 cruise one.

I go down there’s one GS agent. The same one I dealt with on my JiJi’s and excursion issues.

Three in the regular line. Nobody in priority.

The person being helped leaves, I step up. Behind me and to the right I hear “the line starts here!” Several times. I look back and say “im in the platinum line.”

The guy goes toe to toe with me. Gets up in my face . “I don’t care. I’ve been here 30 minutes and you ain’t going ahead of me.”  I say actually I am going ahead of you.

His significant other jumps between us. GS agent says to him “this is the priority line.” She proceeds to help me I give her my room number..then look back at the guy and repeat my room number. She gives me the card. Before I leave I look back at the guy and say my room number again.

Who the F. Scott Fitzgerald minus Scott Fitgerald does he think he is?

Not surprisingly, I haven’t heard from the guy. I was expecting at least a written apology.

    To be continued…..

We were on here for the April 22nd 5 day. Missed you by 1 day in Grand Turk. Margaritaville was not bad even with Mardi Gras in port. We love Fantasy class and will be really sad if they all bite the dust. Freedom was in great shape and we had a blast. Buffet food could have been hotter and MDR (2 nights) did not take long after finally getting getting a table. BBQ was terrific. love Mongolian Wok but the wait stinks. Pizza line moved well.
