Does the soda need to be only cans or can we bring the 20 oz plastic bottles?
-
HAL booked us on a one way from Barcelona for 600 dollars, the same flight is 2500 dollars if we booked through the airline on our own...

I rarely reply to threads but thought I might. Why don't you do a Disney cruise? Your questions you asked are already making the cruise less than enjoyable. A 10 month old won't even know he/she is on a cruise. Leave your child at home or do something child related. well behaved children are welcome anywhere so that shouldn't be a problem but you will be limited on your activities.

Thank you, will abide by the one bottle rule, I think all lines are doing this now...not a problem, just wanted to know what to expect.
-
Previously on HA cruises we were allowed to bring more than one bottle of wine each. I just read the policy has changed. We are doing a transatlantic with a lot of sea days and it gets expensive buying drinks. Has anyone had experience with the new policy, do they rally take your wine or charge $18.00 corkage fee?

Don't give up....I realize a lot of people will defend Carnival with the line that you were okay when you booked it so why complain. We complain because of the inequity of the changing price structure. I am dealing with the same type of problem and I too won't give up. If you purchase something from a department store and don't use it, you can take it back, full refund. Since we haven't sailed yet we should return the same. All the convoluted rules prevent making things right. It should not be this difficult.
OP I wish you luck

Stone island gets my vote, was there last Christmas.
-
I never said I wasn't happy with Carnival's product, just their customer service on the cruise. I am happy with every cruise, just had bad service on NCL last Christmas.
-
I looked at my original invoice, it doesn't say, I booked it myself. Lat year when we waited until about now the ship was full for Christmas week so we did a 7 day on NCL and thought the service was so bad, so this year we booked early and that came back to bite us in the butt....
-
Thanks Sparky.....I am not asking or complaining about anything that is out of the scope. They gave me some obc, but not enough to make up for the price difference....
-
Don't know what I booked, where does it say on my invoice. My issue is that I paid before final payment was dur, had I not paid I could cancel or change anytime up to the due date, whatever rate that is. And I am a she not a he.
-
My final payment date is November 23, my problem is I paid it early.....it isn't after final payment due. When I booked back in September, I did think it was way too much money but it is the only game in town. We do not celebrate Christmas and it is a great opportunity for my small family to have time together.
Carnival is just so difficult to deal with, the agents have no ability to do anything, they have rote answers...it is not their fault they are just doing their job.... My original post was asking for a number to be able to talk to someone in a decision making position.
-
To those of you say more to the story, there is no more. My final payment date is November 23 stated on original booking invoice. I paid it off last week, now the prices are dropped significantly and it is just too bad for me. When you sail over the holidays the prices are greatly inflated anyway and then to be so cruel to passengers is uncalled for.
I agree with the poster, give a price drop avoid wasted time and frustration. I will not take no for an answer....
-
They have offered some obc but isn't as much as the difference, still more than 200 dollars difference. This is the entire story, nothing missing..
-
No more to story, rule is once final payment is made no changes can be made. So, we are penalized for paying before it is due...
-
The decision to refund money or upgrade. We booked early for Christmas and now the prices are down, we paid before the final payment is due and so they say too bad..even though had we not paid in advance we could get a lower price for an upgrade room. I know Princess is owned by carnival but they are managed differently.
-
I have had it with dealing with the regular sales staff, does anyone have a number that I can call that has people with authority to make a decision? Carnival is not cruiser/client friendly. They have the monopoly on the 3 and 4 day Baja Market so we don't have a choice of another line. I believe Princess will be joining soon who will definitely have our business.
Thanks in advance for any number you can provide.

Carnival is so difficult to deal with on price drops...I having trouble even though it isn't time yet for final payment. I am so disgusted with them..

We do not celebrate Christmas and have sailed over the holiday the past few years. They have Christmas dinner and all kinds of festivities. We are already booked for this year.

There is Wi Fi but sporadic, kind of hit and miss.

Red Wing was a small port, no a lot to do, but if you have a car there is a lot around there. I would love to see your Aunt and Uncle's pictures, maybe We even met them.

What do you want to know?

We are just off the American Queen. No mosquito problem at all

We just returned from our Mississippi cruise. The paddle wheel is not on, will be back on the 16th of august. They had a tugboat push us up river. It was a disappointment but they handled it fine. We were each given $100.00 on board credit.
The cruise itself was spectacular. The crew, the shows, the lecturers were more than perfect. We had an open balcony and so enjoyed sitting outside and talking to people as they went by.
We were not able to make it all the way to St. Paul due the silt in the river and part of the channel was unpassable but we were bused and it was actually nice because we got to see some of the countryside. Eh pun the river.
I will be happy to answer any questions.
Drink Package Worth it?
in Celebrity Cruises

If they offered it half price as Expostie mentioned we would jump on it on our Transatlantic on the Reflection in April. The 2nd half of the cruise is port days so we would no way will we get our money's worth. Wil just pay as we go. We love when we get the drink package as a perk and we don't drink that mush but love the convenience.
