  1. Just got off the Oasis on the 21st, no fee on our SeaPass and as a matter of face we were refunded $1.38pp in Port Fees. Have no clue what they are talking about.

    BonVoyage

    Dawna

Do you have the cruise compasses and are you able to scan them? Looking for eastern and western as we are going to be doing a b2b and trying to plan some things. I can give you my email to send them to me.

  2. I download several movies from Amazon Prime prior to our cruises. When I go on a cruise, it is to relax for a change. I am a 911 dispatcher and deal with stress everyday. I enjoy watching movies and tv shows to relax. I don't drink that often and I don't gamble. I love sitting out on my balcony and watch movies in the evening.

  3. I have cruised on the Adventure of the Seas over Thanksgiving and there will be a lot of kids. There was about 20 young females celebrating their Quinceanera on our cruise. That is their coming of age celebration.

We did a B2B, Thanksgiving week and the week after. The second week there was only about 1/4 of the kids on board. The only down side we had with cruising out of San Juan was we all thought the passengers were less considerate than our other cruises. Seem to be more pushy and didn't want to wait their turn. Also did seem to mind jumping into the lines.

We still loved our cruise and would certainly cruise on her again.

  4. From the CDC website:

Cruise Line: Royal Caribbean Cruise Line

Cruise Ship: Anthem of the Seas

    Voyage Dates: February 21 - March 4, 2016*

Number of passengers who have reported being ill during the voyage out of total number of passengers onboard: 125 of 4,061 (3.08%)

Number of crew who have reported being ill during the voyage out of total number of crew onboard: 16 of 1,592 (1.01%)

Don't really think that would constitute a huge outbreak.

  5. Depending on which ship you are on, some of the ships have the Freestyle soda machines. The cup you get in your room for the soda package has a chip in it to activate it. You can refill every 15 minutes. You can choose to add flavoring to your soda or water.

If you were a little concerned about the price, look at it this way. A can of soda cost approximately $2.50 on the ship, so the package pays for itself if they will drink more than 3 sodas a day.

As others have said, they can still get lemonade, tea, non-fresh squeezed juices and water.

  6. On our B2B last year, all the people doing the B2B met in a lounge and waited for everyone else to get off the ship. They then took us off and through customs and then we got right back on the ship. It was around 10:00 that we got off and back on.

I'm not sure about getting off to go into town. I've heard that you can get a card or paper stating you are a B2B cruiser so you don't have to wait in line to get back on, but I'm not positive.
  7. I've cruised over Thanksgiving the last 2 years. Once out of Florida and once out of San Juan. Both times they have turkey on the menu for Thanksgiving. Our only complaint is that there are a ton of kids on these cruises. If you don't mind all the kids, it isn't too bad. Our cruise in 2013 was on the Allure and there was 1,500 kids on board. Last year on the Adventure there was 900 kids. If you are traveling with kids, it is great as they will have lots of kids to hang out with.
