  1. Thanks! Did you purchase from them? The reason I ask is that I have been a victim of bait and switch in past (in another port); Great sample- tasty, full flavored, and smooth finish; purchase for $40>> got home only to find something else that was equivalent to bottle of Cuervo Gold that I could have picked up for $12 at the local liquor store... blah.

Yes- brought back our limit and we will do the same in 2 weeks. Pour over ice and enjoy. Absolutely the same as the samples. We keep it in the freezer in the garage for immediate use.

  2. In Cozumel, fairly near the port there is a small round shop that sells tequila. They have the absolute best flavored tequila. I love the hibiscus and vanilla. They have about 10 different flavors which they keep cold and offer samples. I am sorry that I can not remember the name of the shop but the brand is Jamaica Infused Tequilas and it is wonderful straight up right out of the freezer.

  3. How about on the Dream? I usually take my little coffeemaker, but not this time over Thanksgiving on the Dream. Don't want to start vacation upset because they take my coffeemaker. I have planned on taking my Jamaican beans, grinder, and a french press. I promise not to disturb my neighbors grinding beans. I would love to leave it all home if the coffee on the Dream is improved. As it is, I barely have room for the kitchen sink.

  4. Our first cruise was on the Mardi Gras. We had twin beds that were secured to the floor. No pushing them together. The first thing we did after sailing was go to the liquor store and buy rum and vodka. Take it back to our room and have some drinks. Ah, those were the days!!!

  5. This has probably already been discussed somewhere in all of these pages, but can anyone tell me where is the secret door on the Dream? Also, our 2nd formal night on the Costa Maya port day will be Thanksgiving. How will that be handled?

  6. Port. Western the ship docks on the port side. Great view of the pier runners in Cozumel

I was able to switch us to port this morning. Mid ship in a Cove Balcony which is NOT under the galley. Patience finally paid off. I know my TA will be happy that now I will leave her alone.

  7. Right now, the only port staterooms available are under the galley and the thought of the noise makes me very leary to move. I'll wait it out for a while to see if a port cabin not under the galley becomes available. Is it port side toward the pier at all stops or just Cozumel?

  8. Hey everybody!! We are sailing the Dream over Thanksgiving doing a western in a cove balcony. Should we be starboard or port? We are currently starboard slightly forward but I'm probably going to move more mid ship. Help me pick- right or left. Thanks!!:D

  9. We have been on 20 different cruises on 6 different cruise lines. Most of the big things are the same line to line and ship to ship. Just the small things are different and they vary from ship to ship on the same line. Example- one line may have a little better food- one a little better service- one more pay restaurants- one a little older crowd. We cruise for the pampering, food, and journey- not so much the destinations since we have seen most of them already. No one line or one ship will be perfect. DH and I have truly enjoyed trying to find one that is as close as possible.

  10. In the shopping area near the port in Cozumel, there is a round building where they sell flavored tequilas. They are most excellent and everytime we visit there, we bring back our limit. The shop is very generous with the samples so you can decide which one suits your taste. I really like the vanilla flavored and hibiscus flavored. I can't remember the brand but they can not be bought in the US.

  11. I just found out the hard way that you have to enter the referral information before the booking and then go back in and enter the booking number. I did the booking then enter the referral then claimed the referral and I was denied. I might give them a call because the rep did not tell me to enter the referral before I did the booking. We're talking about a matter of a few hours. I sent them an email and asked if they want me to cancel the booking then rebook to get the referral.

  12. Wow!! This is really funny. Remember how hot the rooms were? Remember the chimes that called us to the dining room for dinner? Kinda like a cattle call. Went on the Mardi Gras 3 times in the 80's. I dug real deep and found one embarkation picture from 1987 and submitted it for proof which raised us to platinum. I loved the pictures posted here. I think I saw my DH and I by the pool- hard to tell for sure- we were so YOUNG and THIN. LOL;)
