I am looking for recommendations for private tour operators in Kusadasi. I would like someone that is willing to customize a tour based on what we would like to see and do. (Also, someone that isn't going to force me to watch a carpet presentation. Believe it or not--I already have a dude that I super trust.)

 

My husband and I have spent some time in Istanbul, so we are very excited for this stop!

 

Recommendations or who to avoid would be greatly appreciated.

We used Ekol four years ago. We had an excellent tour. We did not have to see any demonstrations.

Cassis is a pretty town with a boat ride along the Calanques as a good option. After Nov1 it closes down almost a ghost town.

We are going to Provence in 2 weeks. Aix and Marseille with a wine tour added. Trip is from Toulon. My guide service got good marks for service but I would not post until after the trip. There will be many thoughts on this blog re. tours. Best way is to Google the area and decide what you want to see then research backwards for ideas from this board. That's a fun thing to do.

This is the same tour we have booked for May. My cousin is having a little trouble right now and sometimes uses a walker. He really believes he will not need the assistance by the time we cruise. I will be waiting for your review. Would you also include information about how someone with mobility issues would do?

Since you've been there 4 times, could you share your favorite locations? Would it be possible to hit Didyma or Miletus or Priene? Or would Sirince be a better option? It's all new to us...so it will be an adventure wherever we go!

The Terrace Houses are an experience. The workers, archaeologists and many students are working as your tour the area.

Miletus, Didyma, and Priene can be completed in one excursion day.

We visited Ephesus twice, and each time we saw things we had not seen before. Our third visit to the area, we toured the three places list above. That was another experience of a life time.

Now we are booked on the Carnival Vista for May 1. I hope the situation in Turkey allows all of us the opportunity.

We are also booked on this cruise. I am expecting the cruise of my life. We have been on five European cruises. The two with Carnival have been the best.

Three years ago, we stayed at Noah's Ark. We had a wonderful time. We people were wonderful. We were able walk to most attractions and enjoyed seeing the city at our own speed. :)

You should use the same private tour company you are using for your day tour..We used TJ Travel but opted to not do any evening activity..our ship had folk dancers who boarded our ship for an evening performance.

What ship were you on? And when?

We used Ramses in December. There were just four of us. Words can not describe how much we enjoyed trip. It was one of the best excursions I have ever had. Osama, our guide, had answers to all our questions. He was very proud of Egypt's history and the contributions his nation has made to the world.

My husband, two cousins, and I were on Costa Pacifica last December. Our guide in Egypt was Osama. He was a pleasure to work with. He knew the history of his country and could answer any question we asked. He was proud of the gifts the Egytian civilization gave to the world. The four of us will return in November. This time, we will be in port for two days. Our plan is to book with Ramses. We hope Osama will gide us again. He was also helpful to members of another group that had lost their guide.

Osama and his driver represented Egypt and Ramses well.
