  1. We are looking forward for our first true aft this October. We have C753 booked. We have been as far back as E730 and E731. I hope we like it.
I will let you know my thoughts of C753 after my 7/11 cruise.

Question....if given a choice, would you take B749 or C753.....on the Crown? All aft cabins, but any reason one might be chosen over the other. Have enjoyed reading all the information shared in this thread and now want one of those coveted corner AFT cabins!

    Thanks for any suggestions........

Wondering if there is a deck that is preferred over the other?

    Either one looks good.

The curve of the balcony make it slightly smaller than other balconies.

Baja deck balconies are sized 9 ft. wide x 5 ft. deep and have full ceiling overhang. Lido, Aloha, Riviera decks have the same side balconies.

Caribe deck balconies are sized 9 ft. wide x 9 ft. deep and have ceiling overhang over the first 5 ft.

Yet, in the photo, balconies look like they're the same size.

  2. What's with this sudden obsession about waste? I doubt it's thrown out; my guess is that the leftovers make an appearance later at the Horizon Court or are incorporated into a menu item. I'd hardly call it wasteful when measured next to the veggies and fruits carved as decorations for various things.

    :D I agree!

I have seen items in the buffet that were on the previous night's dining room menu.

  3. Has anyone ever requested, and received, a recipe from Princess for an item they have on the menu (ie Bran Muffins)

    Yes!

    Love their cold soups. Yum!:D

    Princess Cruise cold soup recipes:

    Frozen Rum-Infused Piña Colada Soup

    Yield: 10 Servings

    Ingredients:

2⅔ lbs pineapple (keep some dice for garnish)

    1 cup sugar, granulated

    2¾ cup plain yogurt

    5⅓ cup sour cream

    2⅔ cup coconut milk

    3/8 cup lime juice

    5⅓ oz coconut flakes

    ⅛ cup rum

    10 pieces pineapple, for garnish

    Method of Preparation:

•In a food processor blend pineapple, sugar, limes juice, coconut milk and coconut flakes.

•Combine pineapple mixture, plain yogurt, sour cream and rum in a bowl, stirring well. Cover and chill at least for 3 hours.

•Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Ice Cold Peach and Mango Soup

  4. I am in this room # next year and it is not PS(penthouse suite)BB c751 or c752(i am in)Penthouse is next door, our room is smaller.

Aww, one day I would love to cruise in a penthouse.

Just gotta keep playing the lottery. ;)

C751 IS a suite.(Cabin next to it is C753 and that one is a BB)

C752 is the BB next to C750 (which is also a suite)

I first switched my cabin from Midship - Baja, to B751.

It is not a suite. Just a regular balcony cabin.

I noticed the beam. It's off to the side. No biggy.

Read that it doesn't interfere with the view.

But when I was on the Phone with Princess the rep told me C753 was available and requested that instead.

Which is still not a suite, just a larger balcony.

  5. Sincer there is an invitation to this in the cabin of those eligible, they do not know about it only if they do not read.

On one ship last year, there was a special invitation delivered to the cabins every day, and the lounge was still unpopulated.

We never received an invite on our CB cruise last year..

  6. Last fall on the CB we received an invitation in our cabin to the Elite/Platinum Lounge. On the first evening, we were greeted by the Circle hostess who appeared to have a list of names. On subsequent evenings we just walked in and enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres and specially priced drinks. While I don't think your traveling companions are eligible to join you, they probably wouldn't be asked to leave, especially if relatively few people attend.

Since this is new, guess not many know about Suite, Elite and Platinum Lounge perk.
