  1. You live in Las Vegas and you don't want to be tempted to gamble?

Big difference between walking down a floor or 2 and driving 15 miles to your casino of choice. We only go once a week for 2 hours. Not tempted otherwise. But since we don't do the shows or most other evening activities, the casino does call.......

  2. Are you all actually asking for a payout of OBC? Or are you just going to the cage and asking for a cash advance? I ask for a cash advance. It goes on our account and like every other charge on the cruise, the balance is lowered by whatever OBC we have. Our next cruise is totally free from the casino, and we live in Vegas, so not exactly a casino novice. I'm just trying to let you guys know that there might be a different way to get your OBC.

  3. This is all really strange. We've been cruising for years through both ship's casino's and land casino offers. We always go tot he cashier and take out, say 400.00, which goes on our onboard account. Whatever is on the account is lowered by whatever onboard credit we have. I've never had a problem with the OBC being credited against a cash out from the casino. Our last Celebrity cruise was last November, has it changed since then?

  4. Just started researching our next cruise on Escape next month and have come across tons of references to Food Republic (all good). But I have done several searches and can't come up with anything that actually explains what it is. Anyone have a menu of what is avilable? Recommendations on what you liked best? Thsnks!!

  5. We've done several of the Caesar's sponsored cruises on NCL. One little tip for anyone hoping to get more comped off their final bill is to make sure you and spouse are under the same credit card for final bill. We've only been married a couple years and usually used separate credit cards. On last night of the cruise when you find out how much they will comp, it was going to be close to 300.00. But when we got the final printout the next morning, we had each only had 30.00 taken off. I managed to track down the casino host and was told that since we had separate credit cards on file that was all she could do. Didn't make any sense to me, but apparently they have separate ways of calculating your comp as single's and couples. So, of course, we make sure to use just one card now.
