Returning is likely more okay than leaving... we were stopped in a port getting off the ship, well DD was stopped, because we were in front of her in line and scanned out and started off and they held her asking who her parents were... we started putting her between us :cool:

I have a question that NCL customer service could not answer and I wonder if anyone here can help. I am traveling with teenagers ranging in age from 14-17. If we are shopping in port and the kids are with us but wish to return to the ship, are they allowed to return without a parent/guardian?

I always wonder why in the world anyone is so consumed with the "dailies" as try as I might, I never seem to find ANY new thing in them! Other than the possibility of shows that is? Anyway, LOVED your review and your attitude! We on the the Getaway in October (3rd time?) and will try to just go with the "flow" as you seem to do so effortlessly!

I am traveling with a group and we are trying to make dinner plans around shows. If it were just me or 1 other person, I wouldn’t need them.

We are doing this also. Spielbank, do you know if they need to fill the vehicle up or would they do only 2 people? I don't want to spend the whole afternoon stopping at hotel after hotel.

I think they need several passengers before they leave. When I spoke to Jeff, he said no more than a 15 minute wait or they leave with the passengers on board.

Natefish's review had a menu for the atrium bar which had fraps etc. Also the Haven restaurant had french press coffee when we were on Escape last year, assume the same on Getaway.

Have a great cruise and enjoy the Haven!

We are also flying into FLL and cruising out of Miami. We are using Jiffy Jeff to get to Hampton Inn Brickell (group of 7) and the service is reasonable.

Natefish recently posted an awesome review! Unfortunately the dailies from day 6 & 7 are not included. Anyone have those 2 to share?

I am diamond level on RCCL but had issues on our last cruise in 2014 and felt customer service was very unresponsive. I tried NCL Epic the following year and we have not looked back. I have had good customer service on NCL. I feel the buffet is much better on NCL and the main dining room meals are about even. Also room size is similar. My son also did not care for the kids clubs on royal but he really enjoys the teen club on NCL. He also enjoys the water slides much better than the royal options. For us, NCL definitely offers more bang for the buck and we enjoy the entertainment provided by NCL. I don’t think you will be disappointed with NCL:)

I'll be on the Getaway 5/13, which was Eastern changed to Western, and plan to do a full review afterwards with menu pictures and dailies.

I am on the 8/19 Getaway with a group friends. We booked very early to get eastern but Mother Nature changed the plans:)

Our August cruise was changed from eastern to western and the ports are in a different order than the regular western. Does anyone who was also changed, have those dailies they can post? We have a group of 12 and attempting to make both dinner and show reservations. Thanks all!

We were a group of five and under our palapa we had a mix of beach chairs and loungers, as well as a bed.

 

It was our perfect day. Best day of vacation by far.
