Most people on CC , agree it's just better to do a no show! Whatever fees you have coming from the no show will be reimbursed.

its highly unlikely you will be charged single supplement, you've already paid for 2 people.

My insurance says you have to notify the cruise line..I contacted NCL and they could only put him as a no show, I would have to contact my travel agent which I am waiting for a return call. Thank you all for your responses.

That may not stop some cruise lines from recalculating the fare and charging the single supplement along with keeping the original fare of the cancelled passenger. It's in most cruise contracts.

If I cancel I have a chance of getting a reimbursement from my insurance, but your saying I might have to pay a additional supplement to the cruise line if I do, so now I'm confused on to cancel or a no show. Perhaps my travel agent will no the right answer.

  3. I am cruising this Sunday with family and my husband is now to sick to join us...Do I notify NCL before the cruise or do it when we arrive? I prepaid gratiuity, so do I still pay for his even though he's not on the ship? It would of been just the two of us in the cabin.

  4. My husband & I will be on the Escape in the haven (separate cabin) with my brother, wife & nephew. We have the dining package as a promotion, but since my nephew is a third guest he does not receive it , so was wondering since I'm a platnium member if I could let my nephew use the certificate?

  5. We are booked in a Haven with the drink & dining packages that was included at the time of booking. A additional person was later added under a later promotion, so would like to know if he will also get those packages?

  6. I will be on the Dawn in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if I purchased future cruise certificates can I use them on a cruise already booked, but have not made final payment? I'm thinking they are only used for a deposit on a future cruise, but thought it might be worth asking.

  7. I will be on Brilliance tomorrow. I know you are allowed to bring on two bottles of wine, but was wondering if you have to carry it on or can I put in in my suitcase? I'm thinking I have to carry it on, but wanted to check.

  8. I was wondering if the Dawn had ever been stretched ? I just met a couple that said they went on the Dawn after it was stretched. I know the old Majesty was. We went on the Dawn out of New York the first time, so perhaps before it came to Boston it was stretched?

  9. My husband and I cruised on the breakaway (4th time) the week of Feb 28 in a haven for the first time. We loved the idea of the haven, unfortunately our experience was not a good one.

We were inundated with kids! The first few days at sea they took over the pools, the hot tubs, jumping on the lounge chairs, running around and just very noisy. They were even allowed to sit at the bar. I mention something to the concierge one day as I was leaving the haven and he didn't seem to care. One woman actually spoke to the kids to be quiet they were giving her a headache. Towards the end of the week they were a little better, perhaps the conierge did speak to them, but still at certain times was noisy.

We totally enjoyed our butler Romana and being in a suite. I do realize that it's not always that way, but I don't know if spend that kind of money again . We can be aggravated for a lot less money. I don't know what ncl can do about all these children in the haven, but something needs to be done.

  10. This will be our 4th time on the breakaway, but 1st time in haven. We enjoyed the steam room in the thermal spa and was wondering if the haven has one? I know they have a sauna & hot tubs in the haven.
