between the St. Marteen, Grand Turk, St. Kitt, San Juan (from Orlando) or the Grand Turk, Amber Cove, San Juan and St. Thomas (from Orlando). the first is July 17th, the second July 24th. We are so torn, so I want some opinions from those who have been to these ports.
The first one hands down. St Marteen and St. Kitts are stunning. Way better than St. Thomas..love San Juan and Grand Turk....great itinerary.....But I would defintely do the first one because its such a better itinerary with better ports.

Great review! We sail on the Liberty Thanksgiving weekend and I can't wait. I like the conquest class of ships....and after sailing on the Valor last year (wont even mention the Royal Caribbean cruise), Im craving blue iguana!
-
Loving your review! I did this itinerary last year on the Valor.....it has been my favorite cruise to date...such a fun itinerary and awesome places. I am thinking about doing another cruise out of SJ. I love it there too! Can't wait to see your cruise review!

Looking forward to this...I am doing this itinerary in November :) I can't wait!

-
122--4 months from today I board the Enchantment. First ROyal cruise!!!!! SO EXCITED!!!
-
and this is why Im sailing Royal next....no loyalty from carnival after 7 cruises....
-
My bad. I have only done one cruise out of SJ and that was the Carnival Valor and we were at the OSJ pier. I did see the other Pier and the 2 royal ships in port....Didn't realize royal docks at the OSJ pier...that's good to know. Thanks!
-
No, that's the carnival pier right off Old San Juan..RCL docks further down on the Pan American Pier and you have to cab it to OSJ.
-
excited for the rest of this review. I sail on Indy next March! Cant wait!

Great review so far!! I am sailing on the EOS in November for my bday cruise :)...this is my first Royal Cruise after sailing on Carnival 7 times. I am looking forward to it!!!

I am looking at a 5 day On Fascination to Nassau and Half Moon Cay or a 5 day on Valor to Nassau, Half Moon Cay, and Freeport. The prices are very similar.
I have been to Nassau twice, and I think that stops there make a nice uncrowded "sea day" for us. I have never been to Half Moon Cay nor Freeport.
I have been on 2 prior cruises: a 5 day Nassau/ Key West cruise on Fascination and an 8 day eastern carribbean on Liberty. Our Liberty cruise was our all time favorite vacation.
We will be driving to port. Our drive to Jacksonville to board Fascination is 11 hours. Our drive to Port Canaveral to board Valor is 13 hours.
So, would visiting Freeport and sailing on the Valor instead of Fascination be worth an additional 4 hours of driving roundtrip?
Valor! its a bigger and nicer ship! was on her in Jan and loved her!

I was on this cruise with you! Your pics and review are bringing back good memories of this cruise. Was a great time and wish I was back in PR!
-
I was on this sailing with you! You definitely can see some wear and tear on the ship, especially with the chairs in the main promenade. They looked really worn out. Also the carpeting looked bad in some places, especially in the staterooms.
But the staff was friendly and I had an overall fun cruise!

Bon voyage! I sail Sunday too but on the valor! I'm flying to San juan tomorrow! Woot woot!! So excited :)
-
Because of specific reasons, I won't know if I can cruise on a certain date in late January, until just days before it sails. Is there generally "last minuet" availability? Or do most cruises sell out weeks in advance? Isn't January the "slow month"? Thanks.
I think our Valor cruise this sunday is sold out

I wonder if your daughter paid for the cruise(or you paid) with a credit card?? Some credit cards actually have good trip insurance that you may not realize? I'd check the credit card to see and then claim from that insurance.
I second that. Call your CC company...I know people who have used them to get money back. Good luck!!!

Great itinerary tooo! I loved it when I did it :) have a blast!
-
do one from San Juan...the best itinerary :)
-
A week from today I will be on the Valor!!!! It cant come soon enough!!!
-
Boston cruises are usually up to Canada. St. John/Nova Scotia. We sailed the Glory from Boston in 2013. It was a different cruise from the Caribbean ones, but still a fun experience. I hope CCL Sails from there again!
-
Loving your review! I board the Valor next weekend and leave for San Juan a week from today.
Cant wait to read more!
-
Im dancin too! 8 more days til I board the Valor in San Juan as well and only a week til I am in San Juan...ive waited almost a year for this cruise and like you I cant believe its already here!!!!!! Enjoy your cruise to Hawaii, its something I really want to do!

I love the sailway from Miami seeing south beach...Boston was pretty cool too cuz you see the planes taking off and flying over the ship...but I'm excited for San Juan next weekend...it's my dream port and it's coming true :)

Loving your review so far! You are right about Crystal City being awesome. I have been to DC twice-one of which was during the shutdown, which was my first time there #fail-and we stayed at the Hyatt Regency and Embassy Suites in Crystal City both times. Great location and easy metro access. You were right about not getting a rental car-you don't need it there because the metro is awesome and can take you anywhere on the three day tourist pass!
Can't wait to see your cruise review! I want to do a bermuda cruise sometime :)
