I would love to know why there is an accelerated number of cruise ships stopping at Eden?

Eden is a well known village on the NSW South Coast for both New South Wales residents and Victorians.  In the past many cruise ships going south from Sydney would stop at Melbourne and now that seems that this city is often by-passed for Eden and I am scratching my head as to why?  It certainly is NOT for the various options for excursions.... is it for cheap port charges and or saving on fuel?

Cheap Port charges I would suggest. Same reason nearly all cruises stop in Noumea.👍

Agree with you.  All the long cruises, which I have done, were on big tables of well travelled interesting people.  I would hate to change tables every night and go through the introductions all over again.  You can always ask to be shifted if you aren't happy with your tablemates.  In fact we had one middle aged couple who joined out table because we were obviously having fun.

Hi guys. Do you guys live in Hollywell??

  3. Hi Princess Cruisers.

Doing a 7 nighter from Brisbane to the Barrier Reef in November.

Jumped on the Medallion and booked the 2 speciality restaurants on the Coral. All went well with the bookings however they were charged to our credit card. As we have OBC were we going to use it for the diners.

Does anyone know if this can be rectified please??.

I thought about that possibility after I posted my comment. This is probably the most likely scenario - that a crew member contracted the virus while ashore. BTW, crew were allowed to go ashore prior to this outbreak. The fact that nearly all the COVID cases are crew members makes this is the most likely cause - not passengers lying about their RAT test results.

I think that hypothesis is spot on 👍

  5. Hi fellow Coral Cruisers.

We are booked on the Coral Princess for a 28 nighter around Australia in October, 2022.

We booked cabin E724, aft on Emerald deck 8.

Yesterday I found out that our cabin had been moved by Princess without notice to a top floor cabin at the stern. This is unsuitable to us as the wife gets sea sick.

I rang my T/A who had no knowledge of the change. Princess were contacted and the only cabin they could offer us was worse.

The ship is full so this will be a deal breaker for us.

PS. Anyone who has got Emerald deck aft cabins booked, check your booking because you won't be told.

Apparently they are using these cabins for Covid.

I know the cruise company can change your cabins but hey a bit of customer service would of been nice. Had this cabin booked for 18 months

    NOT IMPRESSED.
