That's what I thought. I pre-ordered some water bottles for our stateroom and bought the soda package to go with it. 🙂

Bottled water is included in the classic soda package?? Are you sure? I thought it was only included in the Zero Alcohol package are higher. If you are correct, I need to cancel my water bottle package. 🙂

That is probably true if you are using official cruise line gift cards, but if they are gift cards like the Visa ones from grocery stores or Walmart, that's not the case. (I had several of the Visa kind given to me at work.)

I'm going on the Caribbean Princess in June. I have no doubt it will be a fantastic ship. I've been on plenty of ships that some say are old and looking their age, but I failed to see it. Some definitely needed some touch ups but it was not something that effected my cruise. I sailed on the Crown last year to Hawaii and had a Mini Suite with Reserve. I absolutely LOVED it and would do it again if money allowed. That being said, I am very laid back and not hard to please. I go with the flow. I'm not a pool person and don't have to have something to do every minute of the day. If you really like all the extra stuff RCCL offers on their new ships, you may want to go that route with you friends. Princess offers a lot of the same things other cruise lines do, but the big difference in my opinion is they cater more to the 30/40+ age group and Royal is more family oriented. I went on the Allure in January and absolutely loved the shows, which I think may be better than Princess. I would not hesitate to go with either cruise line. So, without knowing you and your personality and preferences, it's hard to say which you would enjoy more. I wouldn't let a few bad reviews influence your decision. For every bad review, there are TONS of good reviews that never got printed.

I just want to make sure you know that if you use a gift card and later cancel your cruise, the money will be refunded to the gift card you used. So don't throw away those "used" gift cards until well after the cruise is over and you know you will not be getting any refunds. Learned that the hard way. 😉

I actually have heard of this. I had the offer a few years ago, but turned it down. Do a search for this, you'll probably find some previous posts. I didn't do it, because it didn't sound like something I would benefit from.

Maybe they will start going out of Jacksonville! That would be great!

in regards to costs, my husband saw the Dr on our Hawaii Cruise last year because he had a cough and sore throat. The Dr. fee was $99 plus cost of meds. Seems fairly reasonable to me.

Maybe. But I have been a little demanding in changing "this and that" over the past 6 months and just felt a little extra appreciation would be nice. Sorta like tipping a waiter.

Are we allowed to send e-gifts to our PVP? Has anyone ever tried to do this? I have a planner who has been most patient with me and all my demands and would love to send her a Thank you gift. Does anyone know if this is allowed? An e-gift can be sent by email, but since it's a Princess email address she uses, I'm not sure if it's allowed.

My husband tried to go to one, years ago. Of all things the meeting was at a bar. 🙄 No one was there (the bar was closed), but he asked a worker about it and the comment was "oh no one ever shows up for it". Maybe things have changed. idk.
