Our ship will be overnighting in Quebec on Friday, September 29. We want to take an evening ferry from Quebec City to Levis. Our ship will be located at Dock 30. Does anyone know where the ferry is located? How far it may be from dock 30. My thinking is that after touring the city, we will have dinner at a local restaurant and then take the ferry ride before returning to the ship.

Will we have any problems locating a taxi near the ferry dock to return us to our ship? Thanks for your feedback.

Looking at Toms Port Guide, it looks like Doc 30 is somewhat isolated, across from the paper mill and behind the train station. How long a walk is it from the ship into town?

We have no plans in Sydney but to walk around and have lunch. So, I am now thinking this may be a good time to get my hair wash/blow dry and maybe get a manicure. Always fun to talk with the locals in a hair salon wherever you are traveling. Anyone know of a salon that is in walking distance to the cruise terminal? Appreciate any feedback.

I am confused. Why would you have to go through customs at Boston? I thought you would clear customs at Bar Harbor.

Did you do the express disembarkation or regular disembarkation when you walked off the ship at 9 a.m..

First, I am interested if anyone has attended the high tea and your comments.

Second, we will boarding our ship around Noon and the tea begins at 2. How long would it take us to get from Pier 30 (across from the Paper Mill) to the hotel? Should we take a taxi or can we hike it to the hotel? Thanks for your feedback

I thought the Quebec/Boston cruise would have cleared customs in Bar Harbor or another port before Boston.

Was Boston your first US stop?

Our scheduled check-in time is 10-10:30 a.m. According to NCL website, we cannot board until Noon. Anyone know if they adhere to the Noon boarding or will they let us board after check-in? Thanks for your feedback.

On one of the cruise lines that we have sailed, they have an "express" disembarkation. You can keep your luggage in your room overnight (not required to put outside your door the night before your cruise ends). The next morning, when you arrive at port, you can walk-off the ship with your luggage. Has anyone had this experience with NCL?

I should have mentioned that we are on the Quebec to Boston cruise. We will go through customs in Bar Harbor.

So maybe, the 10:15 flight is doable - keeping my fingers crossed and saying a few prayers.

On another cruise line that we frequent, we could keep our luggage in our room overnight for an early walk-off. You have to take your luggage off without assistance. I guess I should have checked with NCL before assuming they offered the same process.

My back-up plan -- not mentioning any of this to my husband until we get to the airport. No need both of us being stressed ahead of time;p

I have a 10:15 fly out of Boston. doable without a lot of stress?

Thanks for your feedback. We have cruised on other cruise lines where the Cruise Director actually did a good job reading scripture and leading hymns. Also well attended in one of the lounges.

Also, if we are scheduled to be at the ship at 10:00 and we cannot board before Noon, what is there to do while we wait to board?
