  1. Hey TG,

    > In the "old days", we would simply buy a round trip ticket and not show up for the return flight. Is this still allowed and has anyone done it on an international flight?  <

    You can still do it.

Call the airline a few days before the return flight.  You might be able to get a credit.

    Enjoy your trip.

  2. Hi R,

No, you do not pay a gratuity of 20% per day on what you would be paying for the package.

You pay a Service Charge of 18% when you buy the package.  Your package was free = zero SC.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  3. Friday and Saturday we explored Sydney via the HopOnHopOff bus, visited the Museum and also the zoo, where we saw the new tiger cubs.

Important fact:  The fish we call a Grouper in the US is known as a Groper in AU.

What do they call someone who harasses women?

On Sunday, more or less, bright and early we set off to board the Noordam.

    Embarkation went smoothly.

We booked an aft-facing cabin, VB 7136,

Nothing of particular interest about the cabin.

It was a gray and misty morning as we slowly entered Milford Sound.

            The scenery

            was spectacular
