We have quite the dilemma.  We are booked in a mid ship accessible mini suite.  Reserve Collection was not available for our accessible stateroom.  Our friends are in a full suite and they obviously have RC privileges which include dining.  There doesn't seem to be a way to add RC to our booking.  It appears that you can only do RC in a handful of pre-selected staterooms that are not accessible.  We are already paying extra for our mid ship location.  Is there a way to pay extra for the RC dining privileges?  I can't find any options for it anywhere.  Thanks in advance.

There are accessible reserved class mini-suites.  We were looking to upgrade our accessible balcony to an accessible mini-suite but the only ones available with the RC suits.  We didn't want to pay what they were asking for them so we are staying in our balcony cabin.

  2. The Crown Grill is showing as $63.00/person on the new app.  I wonder if the 18% service charge is now included in this price or are they still charging it on top of it.  Either way, we won't be booking it at this price.

  3. Since I was not allowed to bring a heating pad on board (which I use quite often for my back) I purchased a battery operated heating pad in belt form.  It is charged with an USB cable and you were it like a back brace.  The one I purchased also had a massager in it.  Now I have it to use on future cruises as well.  Came in very handy when we had to sit in the airport for 24 hours after our flight was delayed/cancelled.

We will purchase the Plus package when we board here in a week.  Ocean Now looks convenient.  With Princess Plus, tips are included in the package price. If I use Ocean Now, I would think it is customary to tip additional for somebody bringing me a drink. For those who have used this service, did you add an additional tip into the app or did you hand them a few dollars in cash?

I do not recall which one, but years ago a cruise line we took strongly urged not paying cash for tips.  Maybe that was because it is not easily shared with other crew members?

We never used it for drinks as DH would just go to the bar.  We did use it for room service and always gave a couple of dollars cash as a tip.

  5. I was on the Sky recently and they had Diet Coke and Sprite Zero.  The Sprite Zero is not on the delivery menu and not on most drink menus but we were still able to get it at the bars.  I can't remember how we found out about it originally.  I can't drink Diet Coke so it was a nice change from drinking just water.  We would usually pick up a few cans at a time to take back to the cabin.

  6. It isn't as easy as just changing to another blood thinner that does not require INR testing.  I have kidney disease so I can only take Warfarin to avoid further damage to my kidneys.  Also, it is very difficult for me to have blood work done (bad veins) so to have to go through this every 2 weeks would be very difficult.  My doctor is fine with using the jab test kit, in fact, he was the one who suggested it.

INR is a blood test that requires drawing blood and submitting it to a lab.  You cannot self test for this.   Must be a nurse or doctor.

There is a self test kit available.  I have my tests done at my pharmacy and she faxes them to my doctor.  At this point it works fine but I might just decide to get the self tester and do my own cheques in the future.

I don't 100% KNOW the answers to your questions, because sometimes what was true before is not true the next time, but I have upgraded to a for only one person in a cabin. I did it on the app before boarding so I would suggest you go to the app & see what it says the cost will be, but generally a one device plan is $15/day & 4 is $40 so you would pay the difference or $25/day.

I did check the app and it just shows the total cost not taking into account I have the plus package which includes the 1 device.  I forgot to mention that I am Platinum so I pay 50% cost of the wifi.  Thanks for your suggestion.

  9. Last night i checked my app and all my dining reservations were gone.  I logged out and back into the app and fortunately they were all back.  I didn't want to have to start making reservations again as the choice of times are very limited this close to my cruise (December 30th).

Just use the connected phone as a hotspot, then any in your family etc can connect together

To do this I believe my son and son-in-law would have to be with us to use the internet.  This will not work as they are not in our cabin.

  11. I have the plus plan for an upcoming cruise.  Is it possible for me to upgrade my internet to a multi-device plan.  My son and son-in-law will want the internet and if this is possible, I think it would be cheaper for them to pay us the difference in cost.  Anyone know how much more this would cost and also is it possible for just me to upgrade or will my husband need to upgrade as well.

They may not be able to order it for your cabin, but you can. You can order it for four and join them, or you can order it for two and leave them along with it. If you want to pay for it, fine. If they are paying for it, they can go to Guest Services and pay for the item on your folio.

If you want to give them access to your balcony when you're not there, you can go to Guest Services and ask for them to have access. As long as someone from your cabin is there to authorize it, they can provide the access.

Thank you for your response.  We know the cost will go to us but we will get it back later.  We will also be going to Guest Services to get them access to our cabin for the balcony.  We thought about doing the dinner for the 4 of us but DH and I thought we'd let them enjoy it on their own.  We have done it many times and we are on a B2B so we can do the balcony dining on our 2nd cruise.

  13. My advice is not to worry about what other think.  I have used a walker (rollator) since I was 55.  I am now 65 and this will be my first cruise with a wheelchair.  I know my limits and I can't worry if people look at me and don't see my disability.

No, the Medallion will be updated/anctivated electronically on turnaround day to open your ‘new’ cabin. Verify with guest services on turnaround day approximate time your medallion will update so you can move your belongings yourself on turnaround morning,  if desired. I believe for a short while it will unlock both old and new cabin.

Thanks...we will check on timing of change.

You can verify by checking you cruise history on Princess.com. Login and it should show credits to be earned as ‘future’ opposed to completed, click My Account, then click link ‘cruises sailed’. Princess now automatically rewards segment credits, even if you booked a 14 day cruise as one sailing, even if it can be booked as 2 seven day sailings, so , non solo, non suite, will earn 2 credits booked either way.

In the APP, B2B cruises are shown as 1 cruise starting with the first cruise and you will receive only one Medallion with the embarkation sailing date of the first cruise that will be used for you entire sailing, no matter if you booked each cruise separately. You may need to go to guest services to get a new medallion if the battery dies or runs low, but it will still only have your 1st sailing date.

We have a B2B booked but we are in different cabins.  Do we have to get a new medallion in this case?
