  1. Hi, is there a problem with the corner Sunset Sky Suites?  Example Cabin 9301 on Silhouette?  I’m looking and I see the corner Sky suites are available where all the ones in the middle are taken. Just making me wonder. TIA.

  2. Hi, we haven’t cruised in awhile and I forget if we need to worry about noise from the deck below us or just the deck above. I know it’s a dumb question but I would like to know. The restaurants are below our deck but all cabins above us. TIA. This is with Celebrity Silhouette;

  3. I have never cruised with Norwegian but am starting to look. Are the Club Balcony Suites starting to do away with having bathtubs?  I called yesterday and spoke with an agent about 2 cabins and he couldn’t say for sure if they had bathtubs!  I would really like to have a bathtub lol however now I’m not too confident that I would book a CBS cabin and get a bathtub. Any help would be appreciated. The ships I asked about were Getaway and Jewel. TIA.

  4. I haven’t been on a Celebrity cruise in a few years and need some help. We have cabin #7315 (Sunset Verandah) on Reflection for next Feb 15/25 (an 8 night cruise).  Can someone please tell me if this cabin does for sure have an extra bed (I think it shows it as an upper but not sure).  Or it might show it as a double sofa bed.  I’m not sure but would really appreciate it if people can tell me if there is an extra bed in that cabin.  TIA.

    If you are sensitive to second hand smoke you may want to select the starboard side.  The Equinox has an outdoor smoking area on the lifeboat deck and the smoke can affect balconies above the smoking areas.   Except for sailing out of Venice, I have always select the starboard side.  If I wanted to be on the port side, I would select a balcony forward of the lifeboats.

    I'm scheduled to be on the Equinox for the 2/19/21 sailing to the ABC islands.  At this point, I'm starting to doubt that it will sail.

    Enjoy your cruise.

    Thanks for your reply.  We have only had a starboard cabin 2-3 times at the most.  We like being on the “hump” so I think the life boats aren’t right below us or if they are that is what is blocking people from smoking there.  We have never had an issue with the smoke so that’s why I’m thinking there must be something that is not allowing people to smoke right below the “hump”.   So we always get port, on the hump, deck 9.  We were scheduled to go on the 2/19/21 ABC islands cruise!  I called to cancel and then was told about Celebrity’s “lift and shift”.  So we have everything the same but switched to 2/11/22.  You might want to check into that before you have to pay the balance (Nov 7). Thanks again.

    9215 has a deeper balcony than the one in 9217. You would have a very nice view of where the ship is headed.

    Thanks!  I will see if I can switch to that cabin or similar.  I imagine all the cabins that are the 1st on an angle next to the hump will have the same larger deck.

  7. On the Equinox Southern Caribbean 9 night cruise that goes to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao is it better to be on the starboard side?  Ship leaves out of Fort Lauderdale and goes west of Grand Cayman which is the 1st port so port side would probably be better there.  I am interested more in the other 3 ports though.  I know you never know how they dock the ship but just wondering if someone has done those islands and can say which side is better to have your cabin on.  TIA

  8. Hi,

    Does anyone know why cabin # 9215 is category 1A and why cabin #9217 is category 1B?  Both are deluxe veranda.  I like being on the “hump” (9217) so I can see everything.  I wonder if the cabin next to it which is on an angle has a bigger veranda?  I also don’t know if I could see everything as well as 9217?

  9. I was really lucky.  I had no idea Celebrity was doing this though they really should be doing this for their customers.  So I had Southern Caribbean 9 night cruise booked for Feb 2021.  Had to pay balance Nov 7.  I called Costco Travel to cancel one night and the person only said do you want more time to think about cancelling?  I guess if I called by Nov 7 I could have 1 more week to think about it.  I just couldn’t bring myself to cancel the cruise.  The price was great, 3 perks and 2 islands we haven’t been to before.  I had been looking at same itinerary for 2022 but price was $2750 CAD more!  Really made me mad.  So for some reason I didn’t cancel that night.  The next day I tell myself that there isn’t going to be a vaccine out by Feb 2021, just cancel the damn cruise lol.  I call Costco Travel and I get an agent who asks if I thought about moving cruise to 2022.  I said yes but it’s $2750 more.  She then told me about the Lift and Shift.  So wonderful!.  To think I almost cancelled that cruise.  I know we still might not be able to go on that cruise but there’s hope.  So same itinerary, same cabin area, it’s just 8 days earlier in February and the taxes went down $22.  Very happy that Celebrity is doing this.  I should have checked things out here on Cruise Critic!

  10. Thanks.  The 1 hotel/resort was prepaid and they aren’t/didn’t give any of that money back to them.  It was a smaller resort in Cambodia. It would help if Celebrity would have covered the air fare price difference at least.  I don’t think that part was fair or what Celebrity should have done.  The other issues aren’t Celebrity’s to correct though I agree.  It sounds like it was such a disruption in the cruise, spending so much time getting through to your airlines for flights home from Dubai!  I’m sure that was not what you were expecting at the start of that cruise!  Thanks for replying.

  11. Hi,

    Was anyone on this cruise?  Our close friends were on this and lost a lot of money because the ship ended up not being able to disembark in Singapore as planned?  Apparently Dubai port told Celebrity if they docked in Singapore the ship would not be allowed to go into port at Dubai (next cruise-reserve itinerary).

    Our friends had other plans after disembarking in Singapore so they lost extra money.  Celebrity only covered air fare change fees not the air fare price difference to as well.

    Thanks.
