  1.

If you crunch the numbers the bev package, even the basic min by far out values either the OBC or the shore ex options ( which are grossly inflated in value)

As I see it your numbers are very slightly out. On a 7 night cruise obc is $300pp & 7 nights house package @ $39.95 = $279.65.

As I said only slightly out but the OP needs to know the values, he would get $20.35 towards upgrading the package ie one night free.

But then I have never sailed Oceania so I could be completely wrong:)

  2. Hi, I am a massive West Ham United F.C. fan of 54 years (season ticket holder for 36 years). I am visiting Bermuda on the Celebrity Summit in June and would love to go to Somerset and have my photo taken at the Clyde Best Lane sign. He is a big reason why I am actually visiting. As a kid I always said I wanted to go to Bermuda one day, as that is where Clyde Best is from, over the years I have also said the same to my Wife. I saw a youtube video from 2014 showing the naming ceremony of Clyde Best Lane (part of Broome Street) and now I am coming to see the beautiful island. Anyway my question is, how easy is it to get there from the port?

    Thanks in advance

  3. I was one of the 8 finalists on the first ever Voice of the Ocean on The Regal 10/10/2015 Canada New England. It does not take up the time like it sounds. One Karaoke night song, next morning a rehearsal for 8 with a pianist of the abridged songs for the final (about an hour in total if you chose to stay after you had sung), two of the Princess singers were there to advise. A 5.30pm rehearsal with the band in the Vista two days before the final again with the Princess singers (same time frame) and a dress rehearsal in the Theatre three hours before the show. On the first morning Coffee, Juice,Pastries and Doughnuts were provided. On the night of the Final we were given a tour backstage where we stayed for the Show "Champagne"( I use that term very loosely) was free flowing as was Juice bottled water and Chocolate Strawberries ( I managed to snag a beer). The Show was shown on TVs backstage so we got to see it too. Our friends and family (I only had my Wife) were treated like VIPS and seated at the front in seats marked with their name. After the show we were escorted to a roped off VIP area of Club 6 for an aftershow party with more of the dreaded "Champagne". It was a lot of fun and a great experience to sing on that stage to approx. 1000 people. The Winner Campbell from Scotland won a quite heavy trophy which was a replica of the Voice trademark hand holding a microphone and we all got a bottle of "Champagne" God help us for participating. I hope that helps:)

  4. Billyvegas, We are going on the Epic next week, so I'm also interested in other aspects of the cruise. Were the speciality restaurants hard to get in? Who are the legends ? And what entertainment did you have to replace blue man group? Did they offer a laundry special? Did you enjoy your cruise?

I loved my Cruise first time on Norwegian, speciality Restaurants Le Bistro, Teppanyaki and Cagneys seemed to be booked up by the evening the others were showing good availability from 8pm. Maybe worth booking when you first get onboard. We ate in Shanghai's twice, it was busy but we got in both times OK. Never noticed any queues for the MDR's except for the first night. Legends were Rod stewart, Sting and Gloria Estefan. Burn the floor replaced BMG. There was a laundry special I can't remember what day as I didn't need it.

  5. I was also on this cruise as a Norwegian Virgin not knowing what to expect and also had a great time, I agree with the service in the Manhattan on day 1 terrible, but everywhere else we ate was excellent except for our steaks in Le Bistro which tasted of burnt oil. We had a large balcony cabin with shower one side toilet the other and sink in the room (didn't like that set up) would sail on Epic again but in a different cabin type. UBP worked great we also had the $200 obc. Everyone is complaining about a few small charges being added here and there but no one is complaining about the excellent deals that they are offering UBP UDP OBC etc. For £649pp I was well impressed:D. Looking at booking breakaway to Bermuda next year. I am now a Norwegian.

  6. Mmm... It was the 3-nighter doing Palma and Marseilles

I stand corrected! I didn't look at the date of your post just the "just off the Epic" part.

The music was there for the med cruise I disembarked yesterday. In Palma mainly, certainly not Cannes as it was tendered:)

  7. I disembarked this morning and during the 3 night Gallic cruise Heineken was added to the Draught lagers, it was available in the Golden Lion and the Chart Room, not sure about other venues. 20 cents more than Stella per pint.

Just in case this interests anyone.

  8. Thanks to both of you. I thought that was the case but Princess sent a message about the Schengen agreement and when I contacted them, they said I had to find out about any Visa issues myself!

  9. I am sailing on the Regal Princess in May Tieste, Kotor, venice. I have a UK Passport, I don't think I need a Schengen Visa but I wondered if anyone out there knows from experience. Princess have not been very helpful!

    Thanks, Billy
