I really can't remember but I think I was able to change the cabin before we made the final payment.
Oh ok ... Thanks! Happy Cruising!

I haven't sailed RCI for over 20 yrs.I think their website is difficult to navigate. I made reservations for a Jan 6th cruise on Grandeur of the Seas. The cruise consultant said the cabin on deck 7 had cabins above and below it. I just happened to check and on deck 6 just below our cabin is the lounge where they have music etc. Please someone tell me that in cabin 7636 that the beat of the music from below doesn't interfere with sleep! The consultant had told me that below were only conference rooms and never mentioned a lounge with music .I would not have booked had I known but of course we have made final payment and have paid for airfare.
Hi -
I know it's been a while, but would love to hear how did that cabin turn out? I have it next month. Thanks!

- They had dance classes almost every day in the Centrum
- "Cruisin" Susan Adams was the CD in July, but you should check out the running thread for the latest information (they rotate every four months or so)
- The food and service was pretty good almost everywhere except for Giovanni's Table, but Chops was outstanding
- I have all of the Cruise Compasses saved from our nine day Bermuda and Bahamas cruise, but I am not home right now, I will post them later if you want
- For us, the cruise was 10/10, I would highly recommend EXCEPT if you want a balcony cabin
Hi -
Did you get a chance to post your Cruise Compasses? Would love to see.
Thanks much!

I logged into my Discover account and didn't see it. Where do I need to look to find it?Nice! I booked through RC and weeks later (last wk) I remembered my Discover rewards. I called the Discover travel agent and they were able to transfer my booking so I could take advantage of the rewards. Since the entire booking has to be put on Discover card, they had to charge my card for the already made deposit ($900) and have RC refund my AMEX for the previously paid deposit.Nice Rewards:- $200 - for 100 Discover points (12 day cruise)- $100 - OBC from the TA- $100 - 5% Cashback ($2000 cruise)
Nice Rewards:
- $200 - for 100 points - DISCOVER --> CASHBACK-->REDEEM-->GIFT CARDS-->TRAVEL
- $100 -OBC from the TA --- TA TOLD ME AFTER SHE CONFIRMED-->SHOWS ON INVOICE
- $100 - 5% Cashback ($2000 cruise) -->DISCOVER -->REWARDS-->DISCOVER DEALS

If you have a Discover card check your offers, there is an offer for 5% off Royal Caribbean bookings.

I can only speak for our own use of walkie-talkies -- they worked fine.....we have used them on ships as big as Oasis class. As far as 'annoying' to other passengers: it is NOT our intention to have a long conversation on the walkie-talkie (some people do and that could be annoying)....it is just to let someone know where I am or ask where someone from my group is.
Paulette - I agree...
My November Grandeur cruise will be our 19th, but our first with RCI.
I was very surprised:o and disappointed:( that they don't have a texting/communications app!!

If you have a wifi package, you will be able to use wifi calling, assuming your android supports it, I am an iphone user so not sure about your android. I know on my iphone, wifi calling is under settings>phone>wifi calling. I just enable wifi calling, put my phone in airplane mode, enable wifi and connect to Voom. I can then make calls and texts over wifi. Since you already bought voom, it doesn't make sense to pay to text via cellular if that phone supports wifi calling.
Never knew this! Wow! Thanks!

You're cruising with my favorite CD - Chris "Donkey" Salazar. Looks like he's on the Liberty through 08/17. Can you ask if he knows where he's going next?
My family brought in the 2016 New Year with him on the Pride. Would love to cruise with him again. He's lots of fun!!
-
Liberty CD will be "Donkey" Salazar while the entertainment director will be Jayson Periera
Conquest is not known as yet. Too far ahead
Chris "Donkey" Salazar is the BEST!
Been on 19 cruises; he's MY FAVORITE!

Hi -
What are the fees for the wi-fi packages for a 7-day cruise?
I have the daily rates, but know there's a savings if you sign up for the whole week. Thx

Hello:
Does anyone know what the daily activities are for the Carnival Pride? I'm sailing in March and I'd love to know what each night will be...white party, formal, etc.
Thanks!
Hi Konnichiwa76 -
I don't have very recent "dailies", however I have FunTimes from my Pride Oct (2016) sailing. We were scheduled to go to the Caribbean, but due to weather, we were re-routed to Canada. We (my husband, sister and niece:hearteyes:) still had a great time. I think while there may have been some adjustments, most activities went on as originally scheduled.
Hope these scans are helpful! Have a great cruise!!

How were your suite perks?
Did you use the laundry?
Did someone report suite cabins get FTTF sticker??
I thought there were a couple FTTF perks that were not included in suites.

Saint Greg - Can you confirm these are prices for 7-Day? Also, what ship? Thx!
-
I agree, very available, and easy to understand. I even mentioned as much to him during the Diamond event saying he was the most approachable of any captain since our Carnival Spirit Alaskan cruise. He then asked me which year, I replied he paused and said, that was because it was me...... Got a good chuckle...:D
Anyone know this captain's name?
I don't think I've ever paid much attention to the captain, but I hope this one is around for another 2 months. We sail 3/26/17 and my brother is getting married on ship. [emoji4]

Internet package price drop??
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
I hope it's a real sale.
On my GOS Nov 18 sailing:
VROOM is $12.59
BEVERAGE is $41.00
VROOM + BEVERAGE "PACKAGE" = $54.00
WHY IS THE "PACKAGE" PRICE ($54.00) MORE THAN THE COMBINED INDIVIDUAL PRICES ($53.59)?
The purpose of buying packages is to save money. Am I missing something?
