Just curious, can’t you “walk off” carrying all your luggage with you as soon as debarkation is allowed?

After Diamonds ,Platinum's Faster to the Fun and Early flights , They will call by floor number when self assist come down

  2. This was our second time on The Dream , Had a spa cabin  ,, The Dream is in need of paint on the outside , We had 2 ports  Cozumel and Progresso , , 1st time to Progresso , we booked a tour , Went to  The Reef Yucktan  (sp)  a New  all inclusive , the hotel was not open. So only 2 busload's of Carnival Dream cruisers were there, We had all we wanted to eat and drink , good food   Beach and pools to use ,, Great excursion ,, We like Progresso !   Went to the MDR 1 night ,food was bland , did not care for the choice's ,, Ate in the Lido ,, The day we went to Cozumel and Progresso ,, and the following nights , The lido looked like boarding day !  PACKED full , They were running the buffet on both sides , I did hear  1 lido employee on her radio , asking  for more help on lido bussing tables ect , Looked inside the MDR's as we passed them , very empty ,, even at 6;30 PM , waiters just standing looking around ,empty tables ,,  The shows were great  ,No canned music , The dancers were the ones singing , Live bands  on stage  Seen Flick , America Rocks and The 80's Pop to the Max ,, Had Ben Gentry in the piano bar he is great ,  Cruise director Gary is also a good one ,, This was our 14th cruise , The food on Carnival has really gone downhill ,, The lido did have  some of what was offered in MDR , Prime rib , BBQ ribs , Lamb ,, Lido deserts are better than MDR though

About to go on 4 night cruise out of Galveston.  Do you know if the 4 nighters have a formal night and if so, how do people typically dress for it?

    Thanks,

    Rob

I wear new jeans and a polo shirt for formal night ,,  14 cruises never a problem , most others dressed similar

For those that get FTTF, do luggage tags say FTTF, or just Priority? I was wondering, because if there are a lot of Diamonds and Plats on board, and they all have Priority tags, I can see there being delays.

Same with all the other enticements they offer with FTTF, except going to the cabin early. Hopefully there isn’t a line to go to your cabin..LOL But I can see things like guest services and priority tendering could also have lines depending on priority numbers.

But, then again, I go on longer cruises, where half the ship is priority.

Diamonds and Platinums   board before  FTTF

I cruised on the Vista in January of 2018 and Matt was the CD.  It was the most organized disembarkation I had ever experienced.  Priority guests met in one of the restaurants and were told to line up their bags.  The FTTF and early flight people lined up their bags in one line and the platinums/diamonds lined up their bags in another line.  Matt said that he was doing it that way so that the first people to arrive will be the first ones to leave and that he didn't like it when the last people who arrived were the first ones to leave.

There was coffee, juice, and continental breakfast type food available.  People could sit wherever they wanted to sit because their luggage held their place in line.  I have no idea why this isn't done for every single cruise on all of Carnival's ships.

I just got off of the Magic and had FTTF.  Everyone was directed to the theater and it was a mess.  It was hard for people to get their luggage between the seats and the last people who entered were constantly being told to come all of the way into the theater and quit blocking the hallway.  Of course there were people who completely ignored the staff and just stood in the hallway. We were told to arrive at 6:30 am and were off of the ship at 7:30.  It was the most crowded I have ever seen it for early disembarkation.  I don't know if it was due to Carnival or the people working in the port area, but the lines were very long.

Same way when we were on The Vista  , Best ever system , and they enforced the late  arrivers ,go to the end of the line
