Are there any beaches with good snorkeling right off shore in Nassau?
no... most snorkling in Nassau is off shore and the reefs are wonderful snorkeling... I took a ship's excursion to rainbow reef and it was excellent.. lots of fish, crystal clear waters nd beautiful coral
-
please be advised all tour shares must be posted on the roll call board for your cruise.
enjoy your cruise!
-
agree... most snorkeling is ini the caribbean or australia... also Hawaii
-
D plus and also got an invite.. but not leaving florida for this event.... RCI please offer us an overnite preview of the ship and I'm sure the florida and texas contingencies would certainly accept :)
-
not much snorkeling from the beach but it is a nice beach area.... there are hotels, motels in lauderdale by the sea,... the port is a short taxi ride away .... maybe 15 $

I've never tried thigh highs as I am afraid I'd spend the day/evening either constantly tugging them up, or giving up, running to a ladies room, and taking them off to get the circulation back in my legs. Is either of these a reality?
I have very long legs, and can barely find pantyhose or tights to fit, so have a hard time imagining thigh highs being much more than extra long knee socks! LOL
I guess I've been lucky.. I have long thin legs and the thigh highs seem to never slip and slide like the old knee hi's did.. the tops are wider and seem to have a stickey (well, not really stickey but something that seems to adhere to your leg)....
I remember when i wore knee hi's under long pants and they would always end up down around my ankels... lol
-
not a fan of pantyhose but there are times I think the outfit may need a 'finished' look that stockings would complete so I've turned to thigh highs which I much prefer over panty hose.. I find them very comfortable much more so than pantyhose.... and completes the LBD , especially with heels

roatan first, then cozumel.. roatan has great snorkeling from the shore at tabiana beach on the west end... cozumel can have strong currents ..

I think this thread has run its course..
as an aside.. I recently returned from a cruise on the Allure... and I noticed at the pool nearly every woman had on a bikini... all shapes and sizes , cellulite, no cellulite and everyone was having a great time.. comfortable in their own skin..
in fact I felt out of place in a tankini... lol

ok.. folks,, I think this thread has run its course
a very sad situation .. I realize emotions are running high but
enough finger pointing.............
let's close the thread and let everyone heal and keep the surviving child in our prayers

cruise ships used to rely on the water hoses and an ear piercing siren however in recent years they have been upgraded to include several more options which are not publicized for obvious reasons

I believe you are thinking of Civita di Bagnoregio. It fits your description and is between Rome and Orvieto (although much closer to Orvieto than to Rome).
thank you so very much!!!... yes, that was a hilight of our tour...there was a problem because the other people on my tour did not want to walk up the path so I was limited in the amount of tme I could visit and longed to go back
-
a few years ago we toured from rome to orvieto and stopped for lunch at an interesting place but cannot remember the name and exactly where it was.. it was very unique in that no cars were allowed and you had to walk uphill approx. 1 mile to a very small village... can anyone help me out remembering this place? am traveling to Rome again and wish to take my family here but my memory is failing... :)

Hmmm...it doesn't differentiate between studio rooms and interior rooms. Just has an "interior" category.
Thanks for the info though.
thanks.. I don't know why the link didn't come up but I went back in and added one

was just off the allure a few weeks ago... there were 1800 kids plus over. 4000 adults and I never saw so much staff wiping, cleaning... constantly.. it seemed that every floor had someone constantly cleaning the hand railings... washing the elevator panels... the total ship was immaculate..when you returned from shore they didn't rely on you to put your hands under the purell machines they sprayed you.. . there were no reports of noro ..but I guess it could happen no matter how hard you clean if someone is carrying the germ.... seems previous posters have been blaming the pax... a crew member could be carrying it also... the blame game doesn't work.. it's how to prevent it
