...Embarkation: We had FTTF and it was well worth the money to me. We arrived at the port about 10 am. Stood outside for about 15 minutes and then was able to go inside the terminal. We were the first ones in the FTTF section. We were able to board about 11am...
But did you scream really loud?!?!?!
-
We still hand you your Sail and Sign Cards here at Port Tampa Bay for YOUR Carnival Paradise and Carnival Miracle.
-
It was a pleasure to welcome you aboard especially since you screamed really loud!!
-
We were told that the Rotterdam Bar at the back of the Promenade deck (9) before the Queen Mary Lounge would be changed into an Alchemy bar. Did that happen?
Next dry dock....
-
...We had faster to the fun so boarding was very smooth...
It was my pleasure to welcome you aboard!!!

(not-so patiently) Waiting for reports back from the first post dry dock cruise on the Paradise! Anyone??? :D:D:D
The first (post dry dock) voyage was incredible! More info can be found on YCC.

Thanks, Captain. Was wondering if that might be the case as read on another thread that customs/immigration can be more thorough(longer) when itineraries involve Belize and Honduras like this one does. Just disappointed even for the small delay in getting on- board and "getting to the fun". Looking forward to our return to the Miracle and to Carnival. Sailed on her to Hawaii exactly 4 years ago and loved it. Have been sailing one of your sister lines since then, but with Miracle now in Tampa and doing my favorite Caribbean itinerary decided to try Carnival again again for the info. Sounds like we will try for 11:30 and hope wait not too long.

I’ll see you here then.

There will be a slightly longer debarkation known as a modified customs/immigration process. We will still open the terminal doors at 10:30 AM however embarkation may not start until noon or so.

We are at T3

See you on the 17th Capt. Carnival!! Love this ship & glad we have a year round 7 day cruise option - BTW I also really like the Paradise.
Question - on the 17th the Paradise & Miracle are in Tampa - will the Miracle be at Terminal 2 & the Paradise at Terminal 3???
YOUR Carnival Miracle - T3
YOUR Carnival Paradise - T2 on her FINAL voyage before dry dock!

This first dry dock will indeed be grand!

I watched the Carnival Miracle dock in Tampa at 7:30 this morning. She is at Terminal 3. The Port of Tampa schedule said she would be at Terminal 2. I am excited she is sailing from Tampa. We sail on her in 2 weeks.
We open the doors here at Terminal-3 at 10:30; hope to see you here then!

I have and you can read my reviews located in my expanded signature line.

Does anyone know if the Paradise will get the same items in drydock?
I would really like the big TV on the Lido!
Sorry no, this is not on the current upgrade list.
-
I'm scheduled for the September 16 cruise and I'm not sure if that will be a go either.
YOUR Carnival Paradise will indeed be sailing on 9/16 however with a modified itinerary from calls to Key West/Cozumel to Grand Cayman/Cozumel.

While I totally believe Captain Carnival! If anyone would know what is going on it would be him!
I do wish some of the cruiser's that are on the ship would stop in here at tell us how it was in Havana. I would think that a lot of the people there would be preparing for Irma to hit and not to concerned with a Ship full of tourist wanting to be driven around in old cars.
I just hope that just because Carnival deciding to go to Havana and taking time away from all the people it takes to run all the tours, shops and so on did not cause more damage by keeping people away from their homes and not being able to secure their homes from the storm.
Captain Carnival, I know we have meet once, but I have heard you voice many times. I love sailing out of Tampa with you! You make embarkation fun!
Thanks and I hope to see you here again soon!!
-
Please stay safe! Will be thinking of you and your family.

Aside from CCL weather advisories and text alerts you can find out more on YOUR Captains Club (fb group) too.

Are they in Cozumel now?
Tomorrow
-
Were you on the boat ? Otherwise how do you know they had a good time ?
Not to be argumentative with you Sally but I have a quite a number of crew contacts aboard.
-
The call to Havana was totally up to the Havana port officials prior to sailing the officials gave the green light at 1500 hours (3 PM) for YOUR Carnival Paradise to set sail and call on Havana.
She did so successfully arriving in Havana noon yesterday and has subsequently set sail for Cozumel where she and her guests and crew will be safe until Irma passes by.
YOUR Carnival Paradise is scheduled now to return home here to Port Tampa Bay on Tuesday the 12th providing that she is able to do so due to port conditions
In any event guests had an incredible time in Havana.

I just got a call from the Port of Tampa that they will not have valet service tomorrow due to the storm . This tells me they are probably working with a skeleton staff .
Shore side will be fully staffed tomorrow for debarkation and embarkation. I'm just curious as to how or why the valet service called you?
-
We will be debarking and embarking guests tomorrow for the scheduled Cuba voyage however an itinerary change may occur depending on Irma.

Carnival Paradise debarkment procedure in Havana?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

For Key West, and Cozumel - you debark on the crew gangway on Deck 3.
When debarking in Havana, Cuba guests may be surprised that they will not be heading down to the regular pier side gangway located on Deck 3 but rather heading to Deck 5 (Main Deck) instead.
Due to the limited infrastructure issues in Havana a special "Cuba Hatch" was installed (cut out) of what was both cabins M58 and M60.
Here we see the lovely Susan Marie pointing the way ashore to Havana to the "Cuba Hatch."
