Here are some pictures of the great Hubbard glacier, first week of June in 2012 onboard the beautiful Radiance of the Seas. We've sailed the Millennium a couple of times, and it is quite similar regarding view options.
I hope these pictures give you some ideas. In my opinion the pooldeck offers the best views. You can easily walk to all sides of the ship to make the best pictures of the glacier. I recommend the bow only when entering the bay. After the ship has entered, the captain will use the azi-pods to turn the ship 360 degrees (if weather / ice permits).
Entering the bay from the top deck, above the bridge.
Use the upper pooldeck and enjoy the best views
Or use your balcony (#7676 aft cabin), but only for a short time because of the movement of the ship.

We love sailing on the Radiance class the most, for us way better than the big ones in the RCCL fleet. We prefer them also over the Millennium class ships. They are elegant, stylish decorated and are not too big. The size is perfect and the ships are open. I can imagine that others prefer bigger WOW ships, but my wife and I love the feeling to be on a ship, not on a massive resort.

As promised, here are some pictures of stateroom 7676 on the beautiful Radiance of the Seas. This was our cruise in Alaska, june 2012.
Just to show you the updated cabin and balcony size / shade.
-
Last time we sailed on the Radiance in Alaska we booked #7676. The privacy was just great, the balcony spacious and the views are excellent. The sun light depends on the course of the ship, sometimes there is shade, sometimes it's just baking in the sun. It's not very different with other balcony cabins on the ship. We didn't hear engines nor did we feel movement. The seas were pretty calm though.
If you want to see pictures of our cabin (back in 2012 after refurbishment) I'm happy to post some in this topic or mail.
The only downside of the aft cabins is the long walk to the centrum and elevators...But it's worth it in my opinion.

More information in English about the Express Line (X80)

Are you single? Maybe, maybe not. Are you travelling alone / single? Yes. Do you meet other people onboard? Absolutely! So what's really your point? Don't be so critical and be thankful that you enjoyed a wonderful cruise WITH others ;)
-
Oh I thought he called three times and ...Oh never mind...this is a ridiculous topic anyway :)
-
Well I agree with all of you. But on the other hand if the OPs story is indeed true, it would be kind of RCCL to call him back. Even if they cannot provide him with more information. ;)
-
It is indeed weird. The explanation for its North American success however can easily be found by simply reading the name Evian backwards. ;)
Sorry guys, but I need to Like this post :D I've never thought about reading it backwards....English is not my native language so maybe that's why...
-
It's so weird that Celebrity calls Evian water premium. It's one of the cheapest brands in our supermarket. A liter costs 32 (euro)cents. For that reason I never pay the high prices for Evian on a cruise. We don't like ice water, so we are forced to drink wine. :)
-
Well maybe you are not the best marketing machine for Celebrity but I must admit that I read your 2 topics with great interest.
I learned a lot from you and would like to thank you for that!! One of the best topics (in many ways) in my opinion.

Thank you for this wonderful report. I (and more people) absolutely enjoyed your photos and comments :)

Hi! Our cruise departs March 3 from Singapore. I'd like to book a full day Halong Bay cruise. I really don't know which operator is good, most companies departs from Hanoi. Can you give me some advice?

Ship in Amsterdam at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam.
Celebrity Century ;)

Volendam and Zuiderdam at Halfmoon Cay
I didn't know that 2 ships at the same time visit this private island.
-
Whoohooo :D Have a great time!

Thanks for the reaction. I've never seen that flag...or I didn't notice it.
-
Very nice pictures of the Mercury. What means that blue flag?

@Pierces
Wow, that's really a cool picture!! -
I was unaware this was an adult only web site.So I apologize, for being a concerned pathetic parent. Am I the only one?
Although that picture isn't mine, I really don't see why a beautiful sunbathing woman is adult-only. Please stop cruising or going on vacation, imagine when you see this in real life, you and your kids will never forget this horrible pornography.
Please keep this topic free of nonsense. -
My Kids love to use this site can we please keep it MORAL!
We cant go on EBAy or Google with out seeing porn. Can we please have a family friendly community??????
- Is that picture of a beautiful woman at the pooldeck porn or familiy unfriendly?
- Did I post that picture?
- Please, with all respect, don't behave so pathetic...and quote the right user, not me!! -

Hubbard Glacier Viewing on Millennium
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted · Edited by Sheik
I just checked the timestamp on my pictures, we visited the glacier on the 17th of June. We got a little bit concerned when we heard a rumor that the week before a Celebrity ship didn't make it very close....
