Thanks for your review. I'm enjoying it and can't wait for more. I love your whole style of telling it like it is and not sugar coating things. I also love all the pics. Sorry about the bad start with the Uber ride going the wrong way and the annoying hotel staff saying they don't police the pool when they did police the pool. Also I refuse to stay at a hotel if there's not free breakfast. So I understand you not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for what they wanted to charge.
I can't believe Carnival is not only charging you money if you want to watch a movie indoors, but is also charging you for the popcorn. Every ship I've ever been on with an indoor theater offered both the movie and popcorn for free. Carnival really seems to be nickel and diming people lately, but then I guess all lines are doing this. The elevators also seem like a nightmare. Can you imagine if you are a little tipsy trying to figure it out? You get in the elevator and there are no buttons to press. Whaaaaaaaaaaat?
Anyway, looking forward to more review and pics!

I wonder what they did for people getting off the ship that missed their flights, due to the 2 and half hour drive from Port Canaveral to the Tampa airport.

Cruise Law News reports a strike in San Juan today impacted cruise passengers. Departing passengers have been unable to retrieve their luggage and take taxis to the airport and arriving passengers have been delayed or unable to travel to the port due to the strikes. The current strike involves an organized protest against governmental cuts of employee benefits in Puerto Rico.

Yes, there are plenty of shops and restaurants right by the dock.

Pics, video, and Captain's note here.
Looked a little more serious than when a ship is docking with thrusters.
-
Looks like you had beautiful weather most of the time.
Sorry for the TA ESTA problem and taxi crash.
I hope you will return for more cruising.

Great pics! I also agree with you about Half Moon Cay being the best private island. It has the prettiest colored water.

The rule is a little ridiculous to me. If you are old enough to go fight in a war and die for your country at 18 you should be able to go on a cruise with your girlfriend at 18/19/20/21/22/23/24 without dragging someone 25 or older along.

It's just a place for teenagers to meet, become friends, and hang out during the cruise. Better than them being bored.

They'd prefer cash.
Cash is king!

Sure they can.

It sounds like you and your family had a lot of fun, and a lot of it was because you got away from the crowds and did your own thing. More power to you!

Thanks for taking the time to make that great review.
I also liked that format you used where you can click the pics to make them bigger so you can fit them all on one page, instead of all of them being giant pictures and the review being like 40 pages on here. No offense to those that put giant pictures on here. I like looking at them too. Just was saying it's quicker to get thru the review and pics the other way.

Thanks for posting the video!

I cannot wait to see all the pics. My Alaska cruise was one of my favorites.

No excursions needed for Grand Turk. Not much to see anyway. It's a beach stop.
-
Looks like you had great weather all your port days. Enjoying the review and pics.

I was looking for one too. Couldn't find any using Google.

I loved your review and loved the pictures. As someone who was born, raised, and is still in Virginia, I just want to say thank you for making Virginia proud with your great attitude and the great way you have raised your kids. Happy cruises ahead!

Another vote for Half Moon Cay.
Prettiest colored water I've ever seen.

Nachi Cocum beach is very soft, not to mention quiet and relaxing with some fairly decent snorkeling right off the beach and plenty of food and unlimited drinks. I think it's about a 20 minute taxi ride.
Here is a YouTube video of Nachi Cocum that gives a good idea of what Nachi Cocum is like:
Looks great.
I was looking for an excursion/something to do in Cozumel.
I will probably choose that beach club.

Thanks for your review and the pics. Always good to see the latest pics of what ships look like. That skyride looks scarier than anything in the "Dare to be scared" theater LOL. Looks like you had beautiful port days in Grand Turk and Aruba. Enjoying your review.

Thanks for your great review and all the pics. That cruise just seemed to fly by didn't it? Next time you need a longer one, like a 7-day cruise, and make sure Abbey gets to visit Atlantis next time LOL.
travel vaccines?
in Cuba
Posted
You do not need any vaccines before going to Cuba. You have as much a chance getting Hep A there as in Florida, and typhoid? Please. Who hears of anyone getting that?
From the CDC: About 300 people get typhoid fever in the United States each year, and most of these people have recently traveled.
There are 325 million people in the USA.
Do the odds. You have a better chance of dying in a car crash on the way to the ship than getting typhoid.
