We need to differentiate between YC Deluxe and YC Duplex. MSC is now offering the duplex suites as YC suites. Those are 2 stories and does have 2 bathrooms. Royal Suite and deluxe suite has 1 bathroom.

these get sold out very quickly....we were going to take one but decided taking stairs up and down to master bedroom would be a pain.   Younger folks, no problem .

Did like the idea of 2 bathrooms.  And jacuzzi on balcony.

Thanks for your reply. I would much rather be in a YC deluxe but as i previously said MSC won't allow you  to book 3 in those rooms. The adjoining rooms are sold out so the other alternative is to purchase 2 cabins which is costlier by a few thousand dollars more. My question is does the bathroom in YC Duplex with the  bathtub,  have a shower in it or just the tub. I am hoping for something similar to the below. thanks

Home Standard Cube Square Bathroom Straight Single Ended Bath Tub ...

  2. Looking to book one of these suite and was wondering how many people can sleep in there. MSC only allows us to book 4, but we are 2 adults and 3 children all under 10. I know there are 2 couches in the living, are they both sleepers? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've sailed in YC on both, and from my experience the only advantage Meraviglia YC has over Divina YC is the location of the YC restaurant.  In every other respect I found the food and the service far superior in Divina's YC.

    Thank you

  4. Thank you, they are both one week. The one problem I have with the Meraviglia is  is that I like to stay in YC but it seems that only YC1 suites are located in the YC and these can only hols 2 people, the other YC suites are locates outside the YC.

  5. We have a family  cruise booked  on the Seaside for August to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary which we are thinking of cancelling, the cruise not the anniversary, lol..  We noticed that the  summer of 2021, the Seaside will be sailing in Europe. We now have a choice of the Meraviglia or the Divina. The ports of call are not important. I would to hear comments about both ships, especially the Yacht Club. Any info will be helpful

Haven't been to Ocean Cay w/ MSC.  But NCL has their own island, and in speaking from experience (and years of sailing with NCL and reading posts on that board)...seems like a 50/50 shot of making the island or skipping it.  Mostly due to it being a tender port vs. a dock.

We just got off the NCL Escape. We were able to go to Harvest Cay, but  tendered only because another NCL ship hit the pier and it was out of commission. We missed Costa Maya due rough seas and wind, the port was closed. Last week the Caribbean was very rough. On Friday the waves were hitting balconies on deck 11.

How would they know?  I guess if you do the cruise special.  But anyone can buy tickets on Brightline.  Could probably even just see what else is in port that day and say it's that ship.  The Lyft driver won't know or care.

I agree, I would book using a different cruise line and then tell the driver your going to terminal F, which I believe is MSC. We were going to NCL and we had to tell her where to go, and I don't think they really care.

  8. Just got back from Miami about a half hour ago. What a fantastic experience. I wasn't sure how it worked so we got there early. The parking lot is across the street about a 2 minute walk, basically across the street almost no traffic in the area. We checked in and it was a breeze, no lines etc. Got our mimosa and waiting. Someone asked about steps boarding the train, there are none. When we arrived in Miami we collected our luggage and used the Lyft app to get a car, it arrived in 2 minutes. The return was just about as easy, it took a little longer for Lyft to arrive, about 8 minutes, lots of traffic at the port ,6 ships. I would recommend Brightline very highly.

Thanks, we're hoping to use it March 1 and again on March 23. We're wondering how easy it is with luggage? Any steps onto the train and in the stations?

I'll check it out and will get back to you around Feb 8

This is what we are thinking too, about $135 CAD in savings is a nice chunk of cash. And the Brightline doesn't seem to be too much of an inconvenience (we once did Tri Rail Miami to FLL to save a few bucks and it was a breeze). We are also doing 3 different cruises out of Miami during our 3 months in Florida so the savings will add up nicely.

I'll let you know how it works. I'm taking it Feb. 1

    Feb 16-23 MSC $90 😞

I'm not sure that $96 is worth the extra hassle (especially on the return when we just like to go and be on our way.  This time with a two day drive home.)

Off to look for a promo code for a discount.

    Thank you again.

MSC is a little different. This service includes delivery right to your stateroom. Once you check in at the train station Brightline will arrange to have your luggage delivered, so need to schlep them anywhere.

My apologies.  I was looking at the prices for some kind of package with the cruiseline.   Now I see MUCH cheaper prices - and I thank you for the heads up.  And I've also seen the 10% senior citizen discount and veterans discounts.

However, I cannot find that $55 RT for two with free parking.  All I can find is Select with ONE day complimentary parking for $42 RT for two.  Can you help?

(I also can't find the costs for parking at FLL anyplace online.)

when you go to Brightline's web site there is a column on the top right  train to port section. Fill in the info, cruise line, number of pax, cars and you should get a price for your cruise. I am looking at Feb. 1, prices might be different for different times of the year.

Parking at the port is $22/day.

Im a notorious cheapskate, but even I got talked out of parking anyplace besides the POM (by members of CC, another forum and friends who live in FL).

I kinda thought that the Brightline thing was a royal PITA to save a few bucks.  Don't forget that you have to deal with an Uber as well.  And if you're a couple, it's $90 total ($45 pp if you pre book online at their website.)

We're using Brightline and paying $55.00 from Fort Lauderdale for the 2 of us return, including Lyft tickets and parking in a secure parking lot. The difference in the cost is more like C$135.00 for us when you consider the exchange rate. We also get a free mimosa, lol. Also won't have to fight traffic as we are  coming from Deerfield Beach sailing Super Bowl weekend.

Are you driving from Canada, if so we are using Brightline Train service,  Fort Lauderdale station to Miami station and Lyft from there to the port. The cost is $55.00 for 2 and it includes parking  Lyft tickets round trip. Visit their  website  gobrghtline.com

Since I started this thread, I wanted to make sure that I came back and reported how the Priority Access went for me.  Boarded the Breakaway in Port Canaveral last Saturday.

We got everything that was promised.  Designated line at check in; we were the only ones in it.  Checked in within three minutes.  We literally sat for less than five minutes before they called us (this was around 10:30-10:45ish).  Not sure if Haven already got on as I did not hear them called, but we were called before anyone else on the loud speaker.  Boarded with anyone with disabilities/wheelchairs.  The staff on board said we were the first ones they saw board the ship that day.

We had a letter in our stateroom with all of the benefits on the first day.

Got our canapes on Day 2 (nothing exciting but they remembered)

Got another letter in our stateroom about Priority Tendering.  They had a conference room set up for us to wait in if we chose to be on the first tender.  After the process started, we could go down whenever and get on the first available tender.

Had room service (hot food included) for breakfast three days and was never charged.

They left luggage tags in our room without us asking for priority disembarkation.  We chose to walk off with our luggage but had we used the tags, we had the 8AM time slot.

    Hope this helps!

Haven guests are not called, they are in  a private location. When it's time to board they follow a butler to a private elevator and are brought directly to the Haven.

I purchased priority access and just off this past weekend and we were put ahead of Haven, Diamond and Platinum passengers for all services. The best perk was boarding to an empty ship and being first off to catch early flight. Well worth it IMHO

I guess you were ahead of the Haven guests because they were still sipping on their Champagne, lol.
