  1. locals would never refer to I-5 as THE 5. Its not done. Seattle has literally hundreds of one car type towncar firms. Recommending one guy is good however its easy for the one car firms to get overbooked so they call their friend to handle the overlap. There really are a few larger firms that have lots of cars, but pushing one guy with a car is not really that effective. Look on tripadvisor Seattle forum. On top right you will see arriving and departing and Cruises from Seattle. Both of these give you lots of options. Seatac airport has an official onsite limo provider called STILA and regulated by the port of Seattle. You simply call from baggage claim using the phones you call Ground Transportation. They will send a car to the door closest to you in baggage claim. Couldn't be easier. $45 to downtown and $60 to Pier 91. Why mess with a 'reservation' when there are towncars stationed right there?

  2. you may wish to look at renting from downtown vs seatac. why do you even need a car in Seattle? Most downtown rentals would allow you to drop at seatac but not sure if vice versa. Budget has an office right downtown. National, Alamo have a shuttle from the pier, so I'd call them direct not the 800#. Look on tripadvisor seattle forum on top right you will see a list of top questions including Cruises from Seattle.

A town car to pier 91 is about 60 and the same or less than a cab.

    also look at

    seattleexpress.com

    cheaper than shuttle express.

  3. as long as you declare meat on your declaration form. Normally no issue but you should declare. They are normally concerned about raw meat but I got hassled for having cat food in my car without declaring. I have brought Subway sandwiches with meat into Canada with no issue so you should be fine.

  4. sorry, your getting some bad advice. Shuttle Express.com opeates the airporter and most certainly stops at the Westin. You can get a towncar that is based at SEATAC airport and run by the port. No reservations needed and its a flat $45 for up to 4 to Westin hotel. It's called Stila and you can use the phone in baggage claim and call Ground Transportation and they pick you up at the door closest to you in Baggage claim. Link light rail will put you about one block from Westin hotel. Only you can decide what is easiest for you?

  5. Me and my family are looking at booking at the Fairfield Inn by the Seattle airport. It's very reasonably priced, but was wondering if anyone had any information about this hotel. Is it nice or should it totally be avoided?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

there are multiple Fairfiled's at Seatac so its helpful to say which one

  6. We are arriving at SeaTac via Princess Shuttle from Vancouver. We do not plan on flying out until two days later and have booked a hotel (Homewood Suites-Cnv Ctr-Pike Place). Not sure where the Princess shuttle will drop us off but interested inflat price taxi. Does anyone know if this is doable? Train out of question as I have no desire to handle luggage on train.

    TIA

    Chris

if its taking you to the airport then a $45 towncar would take you right to the hotel. If you can deal with luggage the light rail would take you to Westlake Station and you may have a 4 or 5 block fairly level walk to your hotel.

  7. an uber driver soliciting fares is the same as the town car guys doing it. Of course its illegal. How were you supposed to pay? You'd also have no insurance if the guys crashes as Uber is not going to pay. Uber drivers don't have to have a lot of insurance as Uber would normally cover any liability. The risk is all on the passengers.

Super Shuttle does not operate in Seattle. Perhaps your thinking of shuttleexpress.com?

  8. OK flat rate towncar $45 to DT Seattle - just arrive and call ground transportation?! extra for luggage? tip expected? thanks!

no charge for luggage. They charge a few dollars more if more than 4 passengers. Rate does not include gratuity. You can call or cross the skybridge and you'll see the counter for Stila limos. Calling is easy as then they come to the door closest to you in baggage claim/.
