  1. This was our experience in September.

We did the priority disembarkation on the Oasis a couple of weeks ago and the process was as follows:

We were given red suite/pinnacle tags so our bags were picked up and put in a separate section to everyone else.

    We meet in the SL.

Concierge used his priority key to take us down in the lift.

We followed him and criss-crossed through all the large queues (they were stopped so we could bypass them).

We were taken as a priority on another lift to get down stairs.

We collected our bags from a small area were there were only the red tag bags.

We were put into a customs queue were there were only suites and pinnacles so it was quite short.

It was the best experience ever. Our last Oasis experience in 2012 (also in a suite), it took us hours to get off this ship, this was seriously 15 - 20 minutes from start to finish if that - so well worth it.

  3. I wonder if a lawyer would take a suit where the rest of the passengers sued the families of the kids for ruining the rest of the cruise. That would be sort of cool and a large cost for the kid's families.

    DON

Never heard anymore about this other than from other cruisers on cruise critic, but I have to say this apparently occurred after curfew, which says something in itself about curfew and about ensuring it is followed ( please don't flame me ).

  4. When we were o the Oasis in 2012 our ports were reversed due to a hurricane so Nassau was the last port and a short stay as well for our Eastern Carribean itinerary, some teenagers threw a life buoy overboard, the life buoy was spotted by a passenger who reported it.

The ship turned around to pick it up and investigate, at this time Oasis recognised it as one of their own and due to the number on the buoy, found out where it came from and reviewed the security footage and found out who threw it overboard. The kids where tracked down and disembarked at Nassau along with their families.

We heard rumours about fines, lifetime RCI bans and having to pay the extra fuel costs but I don't know how much of that is true.

As the port visit was already short some tours were cancelled and others very rushed like ours.

I don't imagine the kids were very popular with their families as this was the last port before home and would have created a lot of additional costs for them or the people who missed their tours and may not get the opportunity to cruise again.

  5. hi can you post some menus if you can thanks enjoy your cruise

Sorry Did not photograph the CK menus but if you do a search on the boards I have seen them online before. There are two menus and they change mid sailing. The base items at the bottom of the menu stay and the top half of the menu changes.

  6. MisreadHi suiteguest1

Did not do any specialty restaurants due to my good allergy (pepper) going to the same place for me is easier than explaining though RCI is good about it. Feedback from others was really good though about the specialty restaurants. CK was great and we did tea there every night and the staff were lovely. Made to order breakfasts were great as well.

My one complaint is the wifi which my game of choice lagged quite badly. We are currently in Rome and the free wifi at our hotel is much better but they don't provide the sea views.

My advice to get your time of choice in CK is to book early. As we boarded in Italy as an interport the people on board already had taken the later dining times.

Hope you have a great sailing.

  7. Parramatta,

It seems they have done some changes to the deck plan, did they take the concierge lounge on deck 11 and put the Diamond club there. We are cruising on the Allure and we have an owners suite, and was looking forward to the concierge lounge on deck 11, but like I said the deck plan now shows the Diamond Club. It looks like they now have a Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen which replaced the Concierge lounge, can you confirm. Thanks

    Hi

Yes the concierge lounge has gone and not sure what is there now. The suite lounge and coastal kitchen are both on desk 17 where the Viking crown lounge was. Really great enjoyed both very much. We also had a sail away party one afternoon from the helipad. It was a great opportunity to go there without being medi vacced.

Pretty sad to be off the ship now but happy to answe any questions while I have wifi.

  8. Hi all

Just wanted to say we are on the Allure right now , leaving tomorrow - we have had a really great time and everybody has looked after Us.

Staff are fantastic especially our room attendant.

Coastal kitchen and the suite lounge are really great. The staff there and the concierges look after everybody really well. A must to spend time.

    Can't wait to come back.

    Thanks again everybody.

In case you are wondering I won't be home to say thanks and do my exit survey so RCI please read and so this my way of doing it.

  9. Hi All

Last RCI cruise I did not pre-advise regarding food allergies (pepper and tumeric) but basically ate a lot of bread and water (joking fruit, vegetables etcetera), allergies are not epi-pen level rather hives, heart racing and not feeling well. Would I be better off to advise someone prior or discuss with staff when I get there please? As we are in a suite I was hoping to eat in Coastal Kitchen if possible as eating in the same place would be easier to not have to keep explaining myself???

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.

  10. Hi All

Round the same scenario I cannot print my documentation either but my cruise is not till the end of July, leave Australia 28 July. I have also printed set sail pass and luggage tags. My question is how early can you print check luggage tags etcetera. We have a cruise at the beginning and the end of our holiday so basically we will be away from 28 July and the second cruise is not till 12 September, 2015. So my question is are we going to be able to print the documents for the second cruise before we leave for the first one.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thank you

  11. Your experience was newer than mine. It might be worthwhile for someone to check recent reviews on tripadvisor. I can't remember if we dove in 2 or 3 groups. Must be time for new batteries. Hopefully that was remedied. We are going back next year, maybe I'll ask the wife if she wants to do it again. It inspired me to become certified, maybe I could find a away to dive along side.

-- We were in groups of about 10 and as stated we were unfortunately the last group. To be honest it really bugged me because no matter how hard you pushed the button in - you never actually went anywhere. The guy supervising did nothing but bag us about how slow and unco-ordinated we all were, when really it was the scooters, kind of made you feel useless. Then going back to port they wanted donations/tips put in a bucket. Had a much better time at Nassau swimming with the dolphins. Hope if you go back again you get another good visit.

  12. Hi

We did this in 2012 on an Eastern Carribbean cruise and were disappointed. The scooters are battery operated and we were in the last group (there were 3 groups) and found the batteries where going flat hence i got further by pushing myself through the water with my hands. If you were in an earlier group it may have been better.

You may get more positive feedback from someone else, but for the money and what we got I would not do it again.

  13. This is guess work from my part but Rome is considered an Interport Sailing while the cruise dates from Barcelona are considered Masterport.

All things are scheduled in line with the masterport sailing so I would assume the formal dinners will be the same.

So for ajdude's reservation I expect their first formal night to be 13th June and 15th.

Again. This is speculation that they keep formal nights as according to the schedule from their Master voyage from Barcelona.

And a general tip for people sailing on Allure from Rome. Things in Cruise planner and online check in will have their cutoff days counting from the Barcelona sailing before your arrival. Make sure you do online check in and any extra orders well in advance.

"Cruise Planner products and services are normally available online up to 4 days prior to the sail date.

For interporting guests, the booking window will remain at 4 days prior to the master sail date. So the actual cut off date for an interporting guest will vary depending on their embarkation date as compared to the master sailing embarkation date. "

Appreciate this is guesswork on your behalf, but I am confused. We sail From Italy on 30 July, so can you tell me which dates you think will be our formal nights please (or anybody who has a better maths brain than me).

    Thanks in advance
