We were on the Oasis in 2012 and when it came to our my time dining we where hopelessly disorganised. My DH loved the fact that we could relax and have a couple of drinks in the CL and then head down for dinner. As we had not booked a time we where able to go to the front of the queue (and most nights there was a queue), show our gold card to the concierge there and they would find us a table within a few minutes. I don't know if this still happens but it certainly made dinner time very relaxing as we did not have to rush.:D:D

Hi All
In 2012 whilst on the Oasis someone in an electric scooter ran up the back of my heel and as they came from behind I did not see her coming and I could not get out of her way. I had already hurt my foot when we did a lot of walking in New York prior to the cruise (out of condition basically) so now I have permanent damage to my heel. She also ran into a little girl of about 4 standing near me at the same time. Please don't shoot me but I kind of blame RCI they have these sales (wallets watches etc) on and they display the goods so early before you can buy them and people get into a frenzy by the time the sale starts and this is when it happened. I also made the same comment to the staff member when I complained about what happened. Other than that I have not run into (haha) any rude people while cruising.

Hi All
Going on the Allure whilst in Europe next year. RCI wise I have only been on the Oasis previously (Eastern Caribbean cruise). I have a couple of food allergies and am a bit (code for a lot:D:D) fussy about food. DH AND DS reckon I am allergic to taste. My question is because we are sailing the Mediterranean will the food be similar to our Oasis cruise or because we will be in Europe will the food be more European style. Any replies much appreciated.

Hi
On someone on another threads suggestion I went to Ebay (Aust) and bought some cruise luggage tags, just put that in the search. With these you can print out your tags and then slip them in and you can reuse the tags and don't have to worry about them getting wet at the wharf etcetera. Just as a side note Ebay US and Amazon had them but would not ship to Australia so it depends on where you come from to search. Good Luck.

Thanks again, I had not thought of that. Thank you for both of your replies.

Thank you for your fast reply, I mentioned to my DH that I thought that may be the case (with the dollars) as Allure is American as you would know (I'm from Australia) and I presumed most of the same staff would be on the Europe Cruise and be happy to take home US Dollars.

Hi All
Sailing Allure Europe 2015 - Western Mediterranean:D:D. We will be leaving our tipping on but in addition we like to tip the cabin steward and the drink waiters in the concierge lounge - what sort of cash would we need? Is it euros or another currency please?
Many thanks in Advance

Also sorry I realised I didn't answer your question, I unfortunately don't know about price comparison, but it was exactly what I wanted at the time I wanted it so I thought what the hell.

Hi
Yes I have booked the Europe sailing for the Allure, we are going to Europe next year and wanted to do a Mediterranean cruise and when the season for the Allure came out it was perfect and fitted in with the time we are away. And to top it off I got the same cabin I got on the Oasis in 2012 which I really liked. Hope we all have a great time.
Tipping the Concierge?

We have only been on a couple of cruises and the last one was RCI, I researched here to find my answer.
I did all my own bookings for dinners, tours and shows but still tipped $20 to the two concierges (concierge and assistant maybe?), as for the drink staff it was a $1 a drink, so basically $2 each time my DH and I got a drink. I leave to your imagination how much money that was but I can tell you half way through the first night the staff worked out what we were doing and we always had another drink in front of us when we finished the previous drink. The staff were lovely and we asked them about the families back home and it made me appreciate our lives even more. The last night the last drink looked more like a tankard than a glass. Needless to say we really enjoyed our cruise.:D:D:D:D:D:D
