  1. Not a bad idea. I would also like to see the Yacht Club get it's own forum. People's thoughts and reviews of the YC often differ greatly than those of the rest of the ship.

I wholeheartedly agree. Why take up the time of others looking for info. It should be a sub-category.

  2. Thanks for the reply! We are booked on 3 March. You will be experts on the MSC Seaside Yacht Club layout by then!

So you will be sailing soon! Can you please let mw know if Yacht Club passengers are able to eat in other dining areas? Most specifically the main buffet? I know the hubby will like to explore the whole ship whil I am contenet to sit in my yacht club recliner and get some rays.

  3. What was your first cruise ship? What cruise line, the year and the itinerary? (if you remember;) ) Did it get you hooked?

Ours was Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's m/s Viking Serenade, a converted car ferry, back in NOV 1991, a 3-day L.A. - Catalina Island - Esenada, Mexico - L.A. cruise. Never forget our first impressions - we were hooked from that day on!

Viking Serenade (still sailing today as Island Escape)

That was my first ship as well only it was still the Stardancer, Admiral Cruise Lines. Loved it so much I got a job with them as a purser on the Emerald Seas.

  4. On a ship with 5000+ plus pax, trust me you will truly appreciate the opportunity to escape! This coming from another former cruise ship purser and many time cruiser.

Mind you I wouldn’t hesitate to sail on Seaside in a standard non-YC cabin, but if your budget permits then go for it. Totally different experience and best of both worlds so to speak in the YC.

What a coincidence! I went ahead and pulled the trigger. There are only 2 left on my voyage and now one of them is mine!!!

    Thanks everyone!

  5. It looks like the only suites that are available are on deck 9. Whereas the balcony cabins are more varied. Best place for a balcony? Any tricks or things to look out for? I just started looking around but I think this is the ship for me. Going to the Carribbean in May 2019 so I have plenty of time to browse.

  6. Hi! I am planning on taking my husband on a cruise for his birthday in May 2019. I have a lovely aft cabin reserved on NCL's breakaway but was looking for something maybe smaller and not such a super ship. The equinox has a Caribbean sailing around the same time and I am thinking of switching it out. Can anyone offer any advice about this line? It seems simpler and quieter and more understated which is what we are looking for. Much appreciation in advance.
