  1. These are my pictures of the Harmony of the Seas on our 6/12/16 sailing from Barcelona. I know they are few, but this was a port-intensive cruise, and I couldn't spend a lot of time taking pictures around the ship. But hope you like them and have an overview of the new ship inside.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Enjoyed your pictures!! Can you tell me if the cabin was a regular balcony cabin or junior suite? Also the picture of the different items (robes, Coke cup, two other silver cups, some lanyards, etc.), are these gifts given to everyone on the ship or just to you and your fellow cruisers for this specific cruise?

  2. WoW...that's very cool....Thanks for the explanation!

That is exactly how it worked. We did it on the Monarch many years ago. We bought a horse, called him "Five Card Stud". I was the jockey, husband was the trainer (decorator), and we had a blast. We were on a cruise with 6 other couples, who betted heavily, helped put the word out about our horse, which we too took him to dinner, on excursions, etc. We couldn't be caught without him. Best of all, WE WON THE HORSE RACE!! Our portion of the purse was over $1100.00, so it was worth it and the fun. We just got off the Allure, and the cruise director told us there had been so many requests for this horse race, that they are seriously considering bringing it back. Fingers crossed!!

  3. This will be our first cruise as Diamond and we just want to be sure we don't get anyone stirred up....LOL....:eek:

We will be on the Freedom...

    Thanks!!

We have been on 4 cruises already this year. My DH, who is somewhat of a rebel, who tries to always be comfortable, has tried on each cruise (4 different ships) to get into the Diamond Lounge in the EVENINGS with nice leather thong sandals (not the rubber beach kind) and/or nice shorts. Each and every time, he was told to leave and come back with regular shoes and long pants. He tried one time to wear thong sandals with long pants, but the result was the same. We are Diamond Plus, so I guess they mean business. Smart casual means smart casual. Mornings and afternoons are casual, but not at night. Just saying....!

  4. Allure and Oasis both have a Suite Lounge open to Suite guests (GS and above) and Pinnacles. Beverages available 11:00-11:00pm. (Wine, beer, soft drinks). Cocktails 5:00-8:30.

No, we are Diamond Plus, but not staying in a suite this time. So all we have is the Diamond Lounge? What about soft drinks 24/7 in the Diamond Lounge?

  5. Like many other issues, this could probably be blamed on RCI's IT system. All those messages are automated IT stuff. Did you acknowledge any of the messages - that usually shuts down subsequent ones.

Biker, who received zika virus related messages but not port arrival.

Along with the port arrival times, I have already received two notices about the Zika virus, as well. Seems like everyday, we get a new notice about something.

  6. So I know the "What time should I get there" question has been asked hundreds of times but this time I'm wondering if there was a real policy change.

I've been on dozens of cruises, every time they send some email telling me to get to the port later in the day (obviously for crowd control) and every time I arrive around 10:30 anyway and I'm usually on the boat before noon.

We are going on the Independence in 5 days out of Ft. Lauderdale and in the past 4 days Royal has been SPAMMING the heck out of me telling me to arrive after noon. Between myself and my wife, we have gotten OVER 20 text messages, voicemails, and emails telling us to arrive between noon and 3:30. Its at the point where it's obsessively ridiculous.

I am tempted to get to the port at 9am just out of spite (just kidding) but in all seriousness, has something changed and are they really enforcing the PAT on your paperwork now, or is this just crowd control taken to an all new level? Has anyone else seen a major increase in the communications from Royal on this?

Same here. We leave on the Navigator on Saturday from FLL. We are Diamond Plus members, and we are supposed to be one of the first groups to get on. So if we aren't supposed to get to the terminal at 12:30pm (like you, we usually get to the terminal around 10-10:30am), if we follow these new instructions, it is going to be a madhouse. What is going on with RCL? Don't they know the sooner we get onboard, the more money we start putting in THEIR pockets?????

  7. Have been nervously awaiting the new tiers and benefits with the C&A program. and now that I have been through the website am thrilled with the way Royal Caribbean has made the changes! Very fair and actually better overall IMHO. Nice job Alan and the gang. More loyal now than ever, exciting times! Will see you on Allure for a B2B in 37 days, can't wait!:)

Where did you find this information? Can you send me a link?

  8. We are scheduled for a cruise in February on the Freedom, and one in March on the Navigator--both have stops in Labadee. Any news on whether RCI is still cancelling stops in Labadee because of the recent protests? When will they resume? If they have suspended going to Labadee, what port are they substituting or will it be another sea day?

  9. Does anyone know how to contact RCCL to find out why all of us (way over 25 of us) are not getting to have a mix and mingle party on the Allure, during the 12/27/15 to 1/3/16 cruise? We've all signed up, some of us twice, but the number never changes. No one has received a confirmation, so we'd like to find out who we might contact about this oversight.

  10. One of the great features of Cruise Critic is that you have the availability to view posted Daily Cruise News/Schedules (each line has their own name). These publications can help you prepare. In this case 'shadbrew' is on an RCCL Adventure of the Seas - Southern Caribbean cruise. He can view a Cruise Compass of a previous sailing. Dress for one night is described as "Wear Something White".

Where does one find the Cruise Compasses for previous cruises?
