I’m booked on the Regal Princess, May 20 sailing, British Isles. Princess just sent me an email saying the 2nd formal night is a white and gold party and feel free to wear white and gold attire, “Love Boat” party in the piazza celebration.

We are on this sailing as well. I didn't get the memo though. I love theme nights and plan to pack a pair of white pants anyway and have a gold top as well. So all set! Thank you for the heads up.

  2. One of the reasons we use a PVP is that he is able to get us our favorite cabin that isn't available on-line or for anyone else. Just did it today and he came through again for us. I generally book early and then re-fare when prices come down. Perks are not as important to me as "my" cabin is.

  3. Yes, Norovirus is going around everywhere. I have been caring for my husband and daughter who have been sick since last week and still not well. My older daughter and grandson had it also. Somehow, I managed to escape it (knock on wood).  If I were on a cruise ship now, I would wear a mask, avoid close quarters (crowded elevators) and wash my hands a lot as well as use sanitizing wipes. I think the above is what kept me from getting it.

Yes. I would love to hear first hand from anyone currently/recently sailing on a Princess single booking B2B, or B3B EU voyages if any in cruise testing was done.

I posed this question on another social media site (FB) and heard from several people that recently did a BTB on Mediterranean . No testing for 2nd leg.

  5. My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon on Carnival. We were young and wanted to have fun. We met other newlyweds on the cruise as well as many other couples that would meet up after dinner for some dancing, music and comedy shows. Now that our kids are grown and we go to bed early, we cruise on Princess. If they are looking for a nice, quite honeymoon, Princess would be great. But if they are looking for more of a party atmosphere, I would recommend Carnival.

  6. How were the shows? Worth going to? Was it easy to get to Capri on your own? We are planning to to that next month. So no covid that you are aware of on the ship?  We used to do Carnival when our 3 girls went with us, more for kids to do on that line. Now that it is just my husband and myself, we prefer Princess.

  7. Thank you for this review. We sail on The Regal out of Rome next month so was hoping to see some reviews. So it took 45 minutes for the covid test, what time did you get on the ship? Did you have N95 mask in your cabin? Are people wearing masks? I will have more questions for you as your week rolls out. In the meantime, enjoy your cruise!

Thank you but unfortunately, hubby and I both tested positive right after returning home and we had been very vigilant in the mask wearing.  Unfortunately, others aren't and sometimes we pay the price.  LOL

I just got my 2nd booster but am curious for those that test positive. Do you have any symptoms? I am worried about our upcoming cruise on Regal next month. Not so much about testing positive, but being quarantined and not being sick.

  9. I have a picture of my husband (from almost 30 years ago) taken on our first cruise on our honeymoon at 3am laying on our cabin floor surrounded by five plates of sandwiches. He was in food heaven. That was AFTER the midnight buffet, that was wonderful when they still had it.

It seems like most of these posts are by Americans who are preparing for cruises in the Caribbean.  We will be cruising in the Mediterranean at the end of May but only after spending 6 days in Switzerland.  Obviously getting any testing done stateside is impossible to meet Princess' time requirements.  Does anyone know what the policy will be for European cruises and what ways are there to meet those requirements for people like us who will not be flying directly to the cruise port?

We are also traveling to Europe for a cruise at the end of May from Rome. I saw that Holland America "may" require a test if you are fully vaccinated. It would be great to hear Princess do the same. I think they are doing a wait and see before making any decisions. The Mediterranean cruises begin soon so I will be following their comments. We will be getting our 2nd booster prior to the trip.

Yup! That's what I'm seeing too, only with a little bit different wording.

    ERROR

    • The air itinerary you are trying to retrieve has a schedule change that is not reflected in our system. Your flights will be updated shortly so please check back later for updated information.

I booked EZ directly through Princess. I too had this error message. A few days later I received an email that the airline schedule had changed. I didn't like the new flights, called the airline and re-booked for the same price. They tried to assign my seats but were unable to and told me I had to do that with Princess. So I went to Princess site, the new flights were already on my account and I was able to reserve our seats. Good luck with yours and I hope it is as easy as ours was.
