We were disappointed. We were told we would be picked up at 10am. At 8:55am we had a call from the driver saying he would be there in 5 min!!! We were not really ready, but had to scrabble and get down to the lobby and did catch him. Other than that we got there, but Dwayne had told us 10am and to only have 5 min to change course was not nice! Plus we ended up sharing a van, which we didn't mind, but had also been told it would just be us. I would not stay in Galveston again. I would stay in Houston and get transportation from there.
Why do you recommend staying in Houston instead of Galveston? We are going in April.

I do not understand how it’s ok for Princess to delay in getting money refunded back that is rightfully mine. If I owed them money after the cruise, they sure would collect immediately. Yet, I have to wait 6-8 weeks for a refund to be sent via check? This seems shady and unethical! We have cruised with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean and refundable OBC is deposited back to your credit card within a week! Shame on you Princess,

So if one member of your party doesn’t use their fitness class can the other partner use it?
No, unfortunately this is not allowed.

Call the, and upgrade. Ask to speak with a supervisor if the rep doesn’t know what you’re referring to. We are a party of 10 and upgraded our tour for July.

Doing a Princess cruise tour and taking the train from Whittier to Denali. The paperwork says we can bring a small carryon on board the train that will fit under the seat. How stringent are they re what we bring on the train and is there any overhead space to store anything?
Also, we are a group of 10 and the train ride is 9 hours. Are we assigned seats or is it first come, first serve once you are in the train?

We got one and three of us shared it.

We sailed on the Royal in April and had no issues signing up for the 2 free fitness classes. They really weren’t very full.

When will the restaurant be listed so we can make reservations?

I was able to make reservations for our family of 8 in the Crown Grill for June cruise. Just needed booking numbers for all guests.
Could be the number of guests, bookings not paid in full or Status.Thank you! I will try again using the web version.

We are a party of 10 staying at the Hilton Vancouver Airport. Suggestions on how to get to the cruiseport? There are 2 elderly parents with limited mobility in our group. How far is the train station to where you board the cruise? Trying to figure out if it’s walkable for them.

Did you try it in the web version of the Medallon App
https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com/ ?
Thanks. I did try it but it said dining reservations need to be done in the app.

In the olden days, not that many years ago, the maitre d' would hold office hours on embarkation day to sort out passenger dining issues, typically folks who were not able to get a scheduled dining assignment when they booked the cruise, would visit the main dining room (MDR) that the maitre d' would set up shop in, and would then work with them to get squeezed into scheduled dining. It was also the place you went if you were in a scheduled dining time that you didn't like and wanted it changed. I can't imagine that embarkation day was all that present for the maitre d' having to tell a bunch of folks that they can't move their dining time or that traditional dining is full and they will just have to live with Anytime Dining.
But for what you want Speciality Dining, all you have to do is set up a reservation through the Princess app. Or, if you don't want to do that, you can call the dine line when you get on board and they will get you a reservation to the specialty dining of your choice.
Demand for specialty dining venues varies from cruise to cruise and the clientele that composes who's on board. We did an Alaska cruise many years ago where Sabatini's and the Crown Grill were nearly empty most evenings. We did an Eastern Caribbean cruise a couple of years later and could barely get any reservation for dinner in either restaurant. No telling what your cruise will be like, but what is key is know how many guests need to be accommodated and book it now through the app or book as soon as you get on board. I don't think you'll have any difficulties either way.
Specialty dining.
Thank you. Trying to book for a party of 10 and having issues with the app.

How did you contact a MD (now the DRO) on a ship? Sounds like you must have had their personal email address. Or is RCCL more "open" about this?
All we can do is contact Princess DMW help if reservation process is not working and they may or may not be able to help. If you speak with DR Mgr at the SD you are interested in soon after boarding, you should be able to get something arranged. On Day 1, they often have someone posted at each SD for inquiries and reservations.
Thank you.

Does Princess have an email address for passengers to contact pre-cruise for dining requests for the Majestic? We were able to contact the maitra’d before our Royal Caribbean cruise last year and would like to set something up for a retirement dinner in a specialty restaurant on our upcoming Majestic cruise.

Thank you. Do you recall the cover charge?

Anyone that has been on the Enchanted Princess have a copy of the Catch menu or know what the cover charge is? We are sailing on the Majestic in July and would love to see a menu so we can decide which specialty restaurants we would like to eat at.

Do both parties in the stateroom need to upgrade?
-
We ordered a pre-dinner drink and a glass of wine at the same time. We asked for the wine to be brought with our main course.

Maybe.
I have had two experiences with doing that. The first about a month ago I tried to book them and the booking was charged to my credit card so cancelled them and the charge was refunded. I tried again this week and both went through without a charge,
So basically it is all up to how the IT system works on the day!
Thank you! I may call Princess and see if they can do this for us.

If we have the premier package, which includes 2 specialty dinings, can we pre-book restaurants?

Looking to use the garage for a cruise in April. How long did it take for them to call back? Do they call even if they run out of spots?
-
We just did the Chef’s Table on the Navigator. A lot of alcohol and food. A before dinner cocktail, glass of wine paired with each dish, Branziano AND filet. We were way too full by the time the filet came. The dessert was to die for, but again I was too full to eat it. Then, they brought us an espresso martini! Well worth doing once, but I don’t think I’d do it again since the menu doesn’t change.

Interested to her anyone who has done this recently. Wondering how long it lasts and was it worth it.
