If you have a COSTCO Visa use it to pay for your cruise as well as the credit card of record on your cruise...you earn 3% on travel expenses and then get it back on an annual basis.

Thanks so much to all of you for your helpful and timely responses!

I checked and the nebulizer label indicates 115 volts and 60 Hertz so the question stills stands as previously stated.
I'm not sure about an electric razor outlet in the bathroom because they usually state that they are for electric razors only.
-
We are considering a cruise on the Arcadia and understand that P&O is a UK line, but, since I (Sherman) use a nebulizer daily for medication, I need to know if there any US 120volt 60Hertz outlets available in the cabins.
Please do not suggest that I use a converter or other similar device, because I have previously burned out a nebulizer in the UK trying to do that!
Thanks in advance!

We're probably missing the key point here.... they can continue to cut service and simultaneously increase price BECAUSE they're sailing at over 100% occupancy. As long as that continues the current expressed trends will most likely continue.
That having been said we've done 26 Celebrity cruises and enjoyed each one...clearly some more than others, but the product continues to be one of the best around in our opinion.

We did the Norwegian Fjords on the Celebrity Eclipse at the beginning of May 2017. It was a magnificent 8 day cruise making 5 stops: Bergen, Gerainger, Flam, Stavager and Alesund. We were fortunate to have dry weather with temperatures from the high 40s to low 60s. What beautiful places...and we had done the fjords in New Zealand and Alaska previously.
Go and enjoy!

Have never seen Celebrity load drinks on Sea Pass card...Royal yes, but not Celebrity.

This one is strange but true...
About 25 years ago we were doing a Mexican Riviera cruise on Carnival and didn't realize it was the week just after high school graduation in California and in those days you didn't need somebody over 25 in each cabin. Through our cabin wall one night came a clear female voice: "But I already danced naked for you!"

Are these problems occurring only for cruises booked directly with RCCL? If so it's probably better to use a TA at least until this gets resolved.

A b2b in the US requires that everyone get off the ship, usually as a group (except if you are on a tour or want to spend time in the port) and usually as the last ones to leave the ship (except for those who paid for a late departure) and go thru a cursory check by a TSA agent and then reboard as a group before the other passengers are allowed to board. On some b2b trips we've been given our new Sea Passes before we exited the ship and on other b2b trips they have collected the "old" Sea Passes after we disembarked and then given us the new ones. Yes, you can get the "old" Sea Pass back (if you collect them) by going to Guest Relations a day or more later.
Earlier this year we did a b2b in Southampton, England and we did not have to get off the ship.
Yes, Celebrity does usually offer a small price reduction for each leg of a b2b, but our experience has been that it is not always $50 on each leg...and definitely remind your TA to check on it!

If you are Diamond Plus or higher the specialty restaurants are usually BOGO for each of the first two nights.

I don't know the answer to the question posed, but am curious. Am I interpreting that Celebrity offers a discount on back to back cruises? Thank you for clarifying!
Yes they do, but you have to pursue it through your TA since they do not volunteer the info.
Good luck!

Saw it 6/11 on Equinox and once we figured out what it was we thought it was cute. Unfortunately we also had to watch the "hand washing" video again (for the umpteenth time)...

All the posters who noted that RCCL doesn't care about their mid-to-high level loyal cruisers are clearly correct...when a cruise line is sailing consistently over 100% capacity, defined as 2 to a cabin, is there much incentive for them to care? Kind of snarky, but, probably true...

In addition to your Seapass and Government issued ID and some money, it would be prudent for you and your significant other to each carry a different credit card issued in your name...just in case of a medical or other emergency ashore. Hopefully you will never need the credit card, but, we have heard too many cases of accidents occurring ashore to not carry one just in case.

Great job posting, especially the photos!
Thanks.

4 days until Serenade!

Suggest you look at Cruise Critic reviews for both ships for Caribbean sailings and (don't take this wrong, but) ignore any review that was posted by a 1st time cruiser. Look at what percent liked the ship and why and you will have a more informed basis to make your decision
-
Time of use corresponds with start of main dining room dinner (either 4:30pm or 5:00pm) on the specific ship and ends at start of 2nd sitting dinner (either 8pm or 8:30pm).

Just off Freedom today and it is definitely Seattle's Best...does taste better in MDR however. Enjoy!
-
Just completed back to back (1/29-2/12) on Freedom OTS and couldn't have been happier. Crew members were so helpful it made us think these were among 2 of our best RCL cruises!
Glad to report "old menus" have now been returned and prime rib and duck are once again available. On the whole food in the MDR was very good to almost excellent. Even the Windjammer food has improved greatly since our prior sailings on Freedom in 11/16.
Always nice to run into staff members and other passengers that you've met on prior RCL cruises.

Tomorrow on Freedom.

Good ship...had a great time on b2b on Freedom in November 2016. Going back this Sunday for another b2b!

Our advice is to be cautious and not take a chance. I (Sherman) have a nut allergy which includes peanuts and other nuts. I make a point of avoiding all breads, rolls and baked products because they purchase their flour in bulk and I have noticed sensitivities when I tried to eat these items...and no, I do not have a gluten allergy! I bring some bread products from home that I know I can eat w/o a problem.
Just my approach that seems to work well...others do what works best for them.
Best wishes.
Are we too old to take transatlantic cruise?
in Ask a Cruise Question

On our April 2016 Jewel of the Seas transatlantic we had 4 people over 100 years of age.
The decision on whether you are too old or not is strictly up to you. That having been said, if you're not sure what to do on the at-sea days you need to work this out.
