It’s wonderful! There’s a thalassotherapy pool that has a water feature raining down in the middle, jets for your back, jets for your body, and then a big metal rung lounging platform with jets. There are heated stone loungers and water bed style loungers. The 3 rooms include various steam rooms and styles. Lastly, there’s a set of showers with a variety of water styles.

I’m thrilled that there is a thalassotheraoy  pool - something Celebrity Solstice and Edge class ships do not. Thank you for your info.  Take care.

  2. We are on Discovery 12/30 sailing, a cruise we’ve done many times as Southern Cal residents. Usually we only book one or two excursions , always one in Cabo.  Since Michigan is playing in Rose  Bowl we have cancelled our Cabo Excursion. We trust Princess will be showing the Rose Bowl!🤞🤞🤞.

in lieu of excursions I have booked the thermal suite pass.
I have never used the thermal suite on Princess but am very familiar with the Persian Garden on Celebrity.  Any feed back you can provide on the Princess  equivalent would be gratefully appreciated. .  TIA!

they took my payment but it was supposed to be from a SD credit.

I’ve tried several times to book an available reservation on the App and when I press” confirm “it says error.  I called Princess and they had the same problem- very frustrating!

I booked 2025 on Azamara.  I’m also in the market for a spring Alaska cruise that I was eyeing Solstice but now leaning towards Ruby Princess or Koningsdam.  We’ll see.

Remember Princess and HAL have the most permits into Glacier Bay. Celebrity has none. Ruby is a bit old. Try the newer Discovery or Majestic Princess or the Koningsdam.

  6. In addition to guests being tempted to and actually removing pre-paid gratuities from their accounts major considerations are:

    1.  This Celebrity move hopes to increase bookings exponentially before Oct. 4.

     2.  With their exorbitant  “non refundable” deposits.

this move will bring in lots of cash for them to hold onto for 2+ years and keep if cruises are cancelled or just hold onto if refundable.

    3.  As ships fill up prices will rise even more as they always do - supply and demand!!!
     4. So this move hurts the staff, especially those behind the scenes,  as guests will remove the auto gratuities and personally tip only the crew they interact  with,  causing a reduction in staff as they jump ship for other cruise lines,

    5. As X increases bookings prior to Oct 4, it will gain  tons of “non- refundable” cash for Celebrity  to hold onto, present a lucrative opportunity to risise prices sooner as future bookings fill ships prematurely.

Since Jan, 2023 Celebrity continues to hit its loyal guests again and again and again with continuing cut-backs, additional charges, increased prices, the stress of comparing what used to be as compared to what is - eventually muddying the waters so much that guests just give up and pay more for less, because the stress of tracking the changes and charges smother the happy anticipation of a future cruise with stress and disappointment!!!!

Celebrity seeks to bring on new cruisers who will gladly accept what is because they have no experience or memory of what once was.
I have cruised on 7 different cruise lines- in the past 10 years mainly with Celebrity.
Sadly that will be changing. It is hard to support a company that has behaved so poorly this year. I love cruising as all of you do too. Instead of the joyful anticipation of my next cruise I’m anxious about the next negative, soon to appear change.
I have booked 3 future Celebrity cruises, 1 Princess and 1 HAL.  I will be definitely less loyal to Celebrity in the future.

  7. Every cruise line has its cheerleaders.  I have cruised on 6 different cruise lines on 50+ cruises,  Many comparisons are ship dependent.  Every ship has offered a good experience. The newer ships are amazing.
I tend to book newer ships- now mainly on Celebrity and Princess. I believe they both offer a worthwhile product and change is good once in awhile, For example other than recent cutbacks the Celebrity MDR menu hasn’t changed in several years. I have been on the Equinox and Silhouette once or twice every year except Covid shut down and menu has been the same. Also Production shows don’t change either. I’ve seen Topper too many times.
So don’t be afraid to experience change once in awhile.  If you want to see Glacier Bay you need to sail on Princess or HAL. They have the most permits into Glacier Bay. Celebrity has none. So we are so fortunate to be able to cruise!!!!’ Happy sailing,

Here is a quick link to a PDF of the overview of all Celebrity ships. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Flyers/12030112_CEL_FleetGuide.pdf

Below is a listing of the ships that have gone through the full Celebrity Revolution process. Note: all further Revolution refurbishments are on indefinite hold since the pandemic and industry shutdown.

    • Celebrity Millennium — February 9, 2019 — Completed!
    • Celebrity Summit — March 23, 2019 — Completed!
    • Celebrity Equinox — June 1, 2019 — Completed!
    • Celebrity Silhouette — February 14, 2020 — Completed!

The Equinox is not completely revolutionized.  Many of their veranda cabins still remain in original decor/ redfish carpet and accessories. Very disappointing!!!

Looking forward to our March 2024 Enchanted Princess cruise. Great itinerary. It will be our 6th Princess cruise. Last Princess cruise was on the Grand Princess in 2010. We like the similarities and differences between Princess and Celebrity.

The Enchanted Princess has the most beautiful and active Piazza I have seen on any ship in over 50 cruises!

  10. The Emerald is an old ship. Compare Celebrity to the Enchanted or Discovery Princess. They have the most beautiful and lively Piazzas at sea. Rock Opera is one of the best production shows I’ve seen in over 50 cruises.  I’ve sailed many times on 6 different cruise lines. They all have something good to offer. At present I cruise mainly on Celebrity and Princess. It’s good to have varied experiences and choices to make based on itinerary and cost.

We are so fortunate to be able to cruise.
    Happy sailing!

We just got back from and RCI sailing on Harmony. We booked a future cruise on Celebrity Beyond for the ABC Islands in June 2024,  and think we have made a huge mistake. I wish I had done my homework first. The ship does not even appear to have a ping pong table on it. The boy's, ages 12 and 14 do not like the "kids clubs" and would rather spend time with mom and dad and us, their grand parents, but we are really concerned they are going to be bored to death. The ship looks nice, but is it even a good option for them? They are not into sports, but love ping pong, arcade games and enjoyed the mini golf on Harmony. I am not sure if we should stay on this sailing or do something else.

Not a good choice for teens.  Beautiful ship, but outside of the”teen” club where there may only be a few other teens cruising at your time there is nothing for them to do. Pickle ball is almost exclusively played by adults at very limited times as that was the case on the Apex. If I were you I would stick with Royal- best for families.

OP has indicated that they have not yet received a price adjustment or OBC for the reduced number of nights.  Perhaps that is yet to come but I would think they would roll out the changes and the compensation of such all at the same time so that those impacted can make an informed decision as to whether or not they keep their booking.

    I meant 6 nights instead of 5.
